Addy frowned, she was a perfectionist she didn't like it when she could do something. That meant she wasn't perfect and it bothered Addy very much. In fact the reason she randomly did things was because she didn't have to be perfect for spontaneous whims. Spontaneous whims were supposed to mess up. This however was something she needed to do.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. Somewhere between focusing on her sense, and pulling whatever it was towards her, her facial features began to change slowly. She looked as if someone had crossed a cats face and her face.

She felt the odd sensation, of her face sort of changing but she disnt force it. Instead she listened to the sound of Jett's breathing, tried to focus on how close he almost was. This was not helping her with other things but it helped her not force the magic. She felt an odd tingly feeling and then, it was gone.

"She turned to Jett and pawed at her nose... It feels itchy" she said smiling brightly. She picked up her mirror and just as she looked her face was back to normal. Perhaps she should've concentrated on keeping the features.

Jett opened an eye when she spoke and looked at her. He couldn't shift only partially, so he'd never felt sensations like hers. "Yeah? That's a start. When I change into a dog it's more like... a bubble, I guess. A strange pop and then I'm different. That's not how it is when I go all Skinwalker." His laugh was husky and short. "That hurts. Peels the skin like cheese graters."

He was quiet, listening to the sound of the forest around them. It was cool here and dark. Very few creatures made sounds out here. Jett had always compared it to deep sea diving. Peace, eerie silence, darkness, and chilly. The monsters were more or less the same here, too.

"Wanna try again?"

Addy listened to Jett, she wondered if she'd get the bubble feeling when she fully shifted? She couldn't really see it happening, what If she could only partial shift. "Skin walker? Is that what you are? What does it look like? You don't have to show me though." She said as an after thought. She thought they were stuck in a game of who would crack first. She knew she hated him, for various selfish reasons but he was helping her. She was curious about why he was the way he was, but she didn't want to find out.

"Yes!" She tried again, focusing on jetts weird smell, the grass she was laying, the noises of various animals. Slightly pulling the feeling back and focusing on everything but the feeling. She had no idea how that even worked, perhaps because she wasn't forcing it anymore? This time when she felt the itchy she took a deep breath and focused on keeping it that way.

"Did it work?"

Had she never heard of a Skinwalker? He supposed they were rare in certain areas, but having grown up with such magic; Jett was so used to the legends. "They're nasty business," he said with a humorless laugh. "Some would say they're like werewolves, but we're not. Not at all. We just shapeshift. And yeah, that's what I am. What did you think I was? I'll show you after you try again."

With that, Jett waited. He didn't close his eyes this time; he watched her. Her face did change shape, and there was the beginning of fur, but it hadn't grown completely in by the time she asked if it was working. Instead of answering her straight out, Jett took the mirror she'd used earlier and said. "Open your eyes and see for yourself."

Addy nodded and then went back to the issue at hand. Jett wasn't the one learning how to change. She wondered if she had been born a full cat demon if she would've been born with ability. Or if her mom had stuck around long enough to teach her. She tried not to linger on the bad, it wouldn't help her any but her mind had the tendency to wander. "I thought you were like Lupin from Harry potter but much more bitter and fucked up" she said honestly.

"Oh! It worked" She said surprised as she touched the weird parts of her face. She could see her teeth were slightly sharper than normal. She focused on changing back, in the mirror and it was gone. She sneezed slightly into her jacker sleeve.

"I felt like I was gonna sneeze the whole entire time" she said sort of amused and waiting for Jett to show her his skinwaller thing.

"Lupin and not Sirius?" Jett was quiet as Addy examined her face, letting her bask in her excitement before he rubbed his hands together in preparation for his change.

Jett contemplated taking off at least his shirt. It wasn't that his clothing would tear, or even be there once he'd shifted, but it was gross to lose your skin within clothes. He decided against it and ushered in his change.

It was not a lovely thing to witness a Skinwalker shifting forms. His skin came away in bloody, thick chunks and fell around him. Jett made soft sounds, a mixture of pain and excitement. When the process completed, the creature before Addy was not much like a wolf or a dog. It was grinning, its mouth too full of long, sharp teeth to do anything else.

Jett was nearly hairless in this form and the hair he did have was in clumps and itchy to the touch. He was a creature meant to kill and terrorize people. He was a Skinwalker.

Addy shrugged she had not really thought about it. "Eh, you have a more shaggy weigh down by a curse feel to you" Then again he was a joker so he could've easily been both. It wasn't everyday she got to see cool stuff. Actually that was a lie, she got to see cool stuff all the time. The truth was that she was always too busy being in the moment sorta airheaded Addy. She never really had time to inspect and investage things she found cool.

Her problem most of the time was that she never really found anything cool enough for her truly geek out to, however...this was freaking cool. "Woah, you like a weird sickly sorta werewolf maybe dog... Creature... That was probably offensive... I should do research." She said inspecting him. She got a feeling that she shouldn't be I'm the forest.. With Jett...ever...especially like that. However Addy did as she please and she found Jett interesting much to her utter dismay.

Jett would have questioned the logic if he could talk in this form. Erm, well, he kind of could but it came out -- yeah. A seemed weighed down by a curse? Not really. Jett loved what he was, except when people called him a werewolf. To prove that point, he snorted aggressively at Addy when she suggested he looked like one. No, no he did not.

He shook himself off, releasing the tension in his muscles and shaking off the last of the pain in his body before padding over to the cat girl to give her a better view. He was completely casual, moving slow enough to give her time not to freak out. The last thing Jett needed was to have the little Rosales girl running through the woods screaming bloody murder. He wondered if she'd tell everyone what he was? Hm.

When he figured she'd had a good enough look at him, Jett reversed into himself. Again, his skin had to peel away in a painful, gory mess before he was crouched on the ground. The man stood and stretched out. "I'm not going to have to pay you to keep this between us, am I?" He chuckled good-naturedly at the thought, but it was still a genuine question.

Addy tilted her head when he changed back. She watched the skin peel away and she wince slightly. That had to hurt, but she figured he was used to it by now. Then he asked her about the secret. She wondered why he thought she would run off and tell. Addy wasn't exactly the best person, but she wasn't someone who let people's secret out without reason.

"No, I won't tell unless you give me a reason too." she said stuffing her book into her bag. It was getting late and she knew Vito or Klaus would come looking for her eventually. That didn't mean she wanted to leave. She knew she had the tendency to do things that were stupid, out of habit. That didn't stop her from quickly hugging Jett and then stepping away cautiously.

"Thank you for helping me. I really do appreciate it."

"Vaguely threatening," Jett laughed. "What would you consider a reason? Eh, forget it. I ain't scared." He waved a hand. The Skinwalker was more than a little surprised when Addy latched onto him for a tight hug. He blinked several times and gently rubbed her back, unsure what else he was meant to do.

"Uh, yeah, sure kid. Was fun. Try not to run off into the Forbidden Forest too often, yeah? Monsters like eating pretty little girls like you." Monsters like Jett.

He watched her run off and didn't shift again until the cat girl was out of sight.
