Aisha was alone and not in the best of moods. She wanted coffee. A lot of coffee. The cheerleader stomped through the city in search of a good coffee shop. She decided to head into the Sugarpop Cafe just because she could also use a cake pop or two. Maybe some cookies. Bah, just sweets in general. The place was busy as usual as she walked up to the counter and checked out the dessert display.

While at least having been comforted at this point, she still felt like a mess internally. She wanted to escape her feelings but was too afraid to pick up booze. Plus she lost her fake ID anyway. Some customers gave her a few aside glances as she tried deciding what she wanted to buy.

Hell, she felt like eating literally everything.

Zyta wasn't really picky about her coffee. She basically lived on the stuff, and as long as the place had it as black as possible Zyta didn't care what cafe she got it from. But it was nice enough to change things up now and then, and Sugarpop cafe seemed like a decent place. The theme kinda made Zyta irritated but the coffee was good.

Zyta was sipping her coffee and reading an article on some new mechanical breakthrough that had been in use on the space station for ages, when she saw that girl whose feelings she had hurt come in. Oh sh...oot. Zyta sighed and tried to turn her head away a bit. And just when she had avoided the community center so she wouldn't run into that girl. Aisha. Now Zyta remembered her name. It had always been like this, before as well. Zyta hurt someone's feelings or was honest, aka. rude, and either the person would avoid or bully Zyta. Eventually Zyta took the hint, and every time she accidentally hurt someone she erased herself from their sight. That was easier for everyone.
Zyta hoped that even if Aisha saw her she wouldn't engage. Zyta didn't know how to handle overly emotional people.

Aisha didn't order anything yet. Instead her attention was focused on one table in particular. A certain glasses-wearing individual was holing up in her own little corner. Anger sprouted from the girl. Her eyes narrowed. The irrational state of her mind made her suspicious of the loner. It was enough to get her to leave the counter in favor of sitting down right across from the girl.

"Well well, if it isn't the mouse." A vindictive grin spread across her face. No kindness, fake or real, here. "Thought you could run away and hole up in this little pink palace." Malicious intent oozed within each word she said. Zyta was the unfortunate witness of a particularly upset Aisha. Not from anything she did, but from what she experienced from an unknown perpetrator.

The mermaid paused. No, it couldn't have been her. "If I didn't know better, I'd finger you for the culprit. But a shy girl like you would be dying in a rowdy party scene." The smile dropped. "So what are you doing here?"

It was bad enough that Aisha did indeed see Zyta, but it seemed the girl was in a bad mood on top of that. That was clear even for Zyta, when Aisha came over to her table geared up with words and ready for war. War that Zyta was too confused to answer, as she just listened to Aisha ramble on with a relatively empty expression, her confused expression. Mouse? Run away? Zyta was certainly on the short side, she suspected it had to do with her dwarf heritage, but mouse? She was confused as to what warranted that...nickname? It couldn't be an insult, mouse was too neutral of a term to be an insult. And how could Zyta have run away to here, she had been here first, and this place actually seemed like a place a girl like Aisha would frequent, it was a very bad place to run away to and hole into.
But although Zyta wanted to she didn't say any of this, it seemed like anything she might now say would only add fuel to the fire.

"Culprit? Party? I implore you to explain. I do not think I said anything that warranted this amount of anger."
Now Zyta opened her mouth, her confusion had reached a level in which she couldn't stay quiet. Well, the last part was speculation on her part, Zyta had no idea exactly how mad she had made Aisha. But she didn't get nauseous, Zyta had properly added "I do not think", so it was an opinion and couldn't be a lie.
But finally Aisha at least dropped that smile that made Zyta irritated and sick in her stomach. If the girl was angry Zyta wanted her to show it, not hide behind poisonous, untrue kind words and smiles that could wound.
"I'm here to drink coffee. This is a cafe. I believe that is very clear."
Zyta said, her words had no hidden meanings, just the facts and truths.

"Funny you ask, Wonderbread."

Aisha puffed a bit as she blew out a sigh. "Sorry...I guess. Though you totally like hurt me. But like....not like whoever posted that bullshit." She rubbed the back of her neck. "Blah blah awful video blah blah totally embarrassing blah blah totally got disqualified from the election and having people say nasty shit about me." She invited herself to the girl's table and plopped right down in the seat across from her. "I'm here because I need comfort in the form of baked goods and caffeine."

She grabbed for the ordering tablet at the table and proceeded to shift through it. "Your bluntness is, like, a gift. Too bad it makes you socially dense." The mermaid dismissed any inhibitions and proceeded to order an army's worth of sweets and a giant cup of caramel macchiato. "Maybe that's, like, rude but I'm not in the mood to get, like, my words combed through with those glasses of yours." That line probably didn't make complete sense, but one could get the gist of what she meant.

Wonderbread? What on Earth did that mean? But before Zyta could even begin to ask about it Aisha revealed the source of her bad mood. In very unspecific and confusing terms but Zyta understood enough to form a picture in her head. Zyta had hurt Aisha, but an incident had happened after that which hurt her even more. A video? Zyta wondered what was on that video to turn Aisha so hostila towards Zyta, who most definitely had nothing to do with any videos.
"I see. I still do not understand completely but I understand to some extent."
Zyta merely concluded, and sipped her coffee as she watched Aisha, who had decided to sit down with Zyta. Not that Zyta minded, much. She was slightly irritated still.

"I consider my...social denseness a weakness rather than gift, but nevertheless I suppose I should thank you for the compliment."
Being called socially dense wasn't even near the worst possible ways people had put Zyta's incapabality in social situations. And still is irritated Zyta, though she did not show it. Though she did look baffled when Aisha ordered a mountain of sweets. First Rigel and now this girl. Just how much did the residents of this island eat??
"Yes, it is slightly rude, but I prefer you talk to me straight and honestly. It makes you a much more pleasant conversational partner."
Zyta wasn't even going to ask what Aisha meant by combing through her words with her glasses. Some sayings Zyta would never understand.
