Tomo sat on a hospital bed and nursed her head that was aching like there was a fucking war going on in there. The doctors said they'd put her under and stitched her up. It took almost 25 stitches, for all 10 holes on her head. They'd said when Tomo had gotten them the thing that had made them had reached her skull. There were small knicks on its surface. The monster's claws really did their job, huh.
It must've been a miracle the wounds hadn't opened earlier. But suppose Tomo scratching her head from frustration had finally done it. So fucking ironic, since it had almost gotten Shiro to give a shit. But Tomo didn't need no pity. She needed at least Shiro and Tadashi to somehow get along, to be brothers. She didn't matter, Shiro could hate her all he wanted.
Tomo leaned back, really uncomfortable in the hospital setting. Not that she had a phobia or something, Tomo just didn't have nice memories of these kinda places. Tomo slowly touched her side, where there was a scar from a nail bat. That fight had been the first one she had almost died in. It wasn't the last.
Tomo gritted her teeth and pushed the memories back. Not now, not when she had so many problems in the now. Tomo still somehow needed to explain the holes in her head. The doctors had left her alone for now but they needed to hear something convincing. Because Tomo was not gonna tell them she had done them herself. The word could slip out and with the rumour spreading around about Tadashi and Shiro another one about their sister being a mental case wouldn't help. Tomo supressed the urge to scratch her bandaged up head and started thinking about possible reasons for her wounds, drifting into her own world.
