Max laughed in approval, turning back and giving her a glance that summed up his feelings on the subject quite adequately. "Easy marks, we are. Won't be surprised if the school's attacked, sooner or later." He rolled his eyes, and "plus they're all the people showing off their powers in public, because they think the 'normies' - or whatever they're calling them - will be impressed." He cracked his knuckles absent-mindedly, as if preparing for a fight that'd begin any minute now. "Even if the school's invisible to others... They're askin' for it."

He dropped the topic with a shake of his head, raising an eyebrow back at her. “But I digress; are you enjoying yourself, safe haven or not?”

"Sure," he agreed, and then, with a yawn: "S'not, really. The most danger in going in there is getting a detention... I think there's a few vampires here and there, but who can't take them down?" He rolled his eyes. "Never been to the mountains, though. Have you?"

"Dragons?" He raised an eyebrow, interest slowly picking up. "I hadn't heard that." One probably used swords or powers to fight dragons, however... Not their own two hands. Ah well, it'd just be all the more interesting. "When you're feeling better." He repeated her from before, flashing a quick smile.

"Maybe you could find a healer to fix ya up." Max glanced around as if one would pop around the corner at his words, but no one appeared and he shrugged. "Don't they sometimes hang around the H-wing to practice their powers?"

Max laughed, raising an eyebrow back at her. "Loopy gentleman? I like it." He tipped an imaginary top hat at an imaginary audience, silvery blue eyes sparkling. "But doesn't sadistic sweetheart contradict itself?" He paused, mulling this over for a few seconds, and shrugged, throwing a quick wink back at her. "For anyone else, it would... But somehow, not for you, hmm? Callie - the most sadistic sweetheart the world has ever seen."
