Max blushed, covering it with a yawn. "Well, it's not at all hard to top anyone else in this school..." He laughed at the sentence, as if mocking the idea that it was a school - but that was just paranoia, wasn't it? Ah well. "And I haven't had an intelligent conversation in months." He paused, remembering what they'd actually been talking about and "well, it's not exactly an intelligent conversation. But I am sure that you would be capable of one, should the need arise."

She rolled her eyes... "Like that need's ever going to arise... Unless your talking about actually talking to me after going to the hospital... But that's of course if you don't mind some sadistic remarks at times... But then I might be to busy mocking people with no sense..."
Max shrugged. "T'wouldn't make sense to crack sadistic remarks if there's no one around to hear you." He paused, motioned towards the lawn where a few students were walking - they were getting close to the Academy, weren't they? - and chuckling. "It'd just be lost on them."
She smiled... "Yes, true... It's a shame... the senseless fools they are, living like the world will get better thinking they can do anything... and all for nothing because by the time they realize they did nothing they're on their death bed or dead." She said rolling her eyes... "I mean how is the world going to get any better if your sitting on your tush." She said scoffing...
Max nodded. "If they realize at all, that is." He yawned, pushing a few dark brown curls from his eyes. "Though I'm afraid I really can't say much on that without being a hypocrite... I, myself, am perfectly happy with the state of the world at the moment, and see no room for improvement." He paused, mulling this over and then: "but with less people thinking I'm a pyromanic. Ah well, there's really not much I can do when they're so set on the idea."
She smiled... "It's not that the world is messed up it's the people in the world that are... I mean, you see most people care nothing at all about defeating evil and making it safe for others. Mainly they care to much about themselves I'm not saying I'm better but I try to be. And they just I don't know that there's more to life than they're own satifaction... Besides they aren't exactly friendly..."
"See? Tada - an intelligent conversation! I knew you could do it!" He paused, then glanced back at her, serious once again. "But I agree... People are altogether much too infatuated with themselves."
They were nearing the school... He climbed the front steps three at a time, pausing for a minute at the top to open the door. "I feel I must warn you - I'm not really supposed to be out." He raised an eyebrow, and "they're gonna be pissed," he half-whispered, a half smile playing across his face.

"Don't worry I have a way with people... Not all the times, the best but I can be nice at times..." She said with a smile... She winced lightly in pain... "So you think if you ever get permisson we could go out again sometime and talk, snd have an intelligent coversation?" She asked smiling....
Max thought for a moment, shaking his head decisively. "No. Until they decide I'm not a deranged killer or somethin', they don't want me talking to people." He glanced back at her, winked. "But... What does what they want have to do with anything?"
