Cordelia was sure now whatever had caused the surge was in front of her after hearing that gasp. She stepped into the alley, and her eyes quickly found him. It had taken a while for her eyes to adjust.... but she was glad that they had. She grabbed the male by the caller, looking at him.

"And what do we have here?" she asked quietly, mostly to herself, but if the boy wanted to answer she wouldn't stop him. "I'm assuming you were the one that caused the surge. So, do you wanna explain to me what it was?"

"You tell me lady I dont know? If it was coming from me then im obviously the source"

Her dark blue eyes narrowed somewhat. "Pardon me? Getting an attitude isn't necessary. You'd best watch that mouth of yours before someone more dangerous than myself comes along. And why would you expect ME to know what effects your powers have? If I asked then I obviously don't. Idiot child..." she rolled her eyes, and her grip on his collar tightened. She hated kids that acted like they knew everything... and it seemed that she kept running into those kind of people here. Young kids and know-it-alls... yep, this academy definitely wanted to torture her. She was officially sure of it.

She whirled around as he appeared behind her. "Brat," she muttered. "Afraid of even having his collar touched. Well excuse me, then. All I did was ask a question." She rolled her eyes again, folding her arms over her chest and glaring at the boy. She noticed Jira go off, but she didn't want to go after him at the moment.

"Fine, attitude dropped! And im 15 thankyou very much im not a little kid, brat...eh sometimes. Hey whats that!"

"Fifteen, mm? Well, you're still younger than me, and therefore, you're a child," Cordelia said with somewhat of a smirk. Well, at least he had admitted to being a brat. She didn't fall for the 'hey, what's that' though — she was far too smart and too old for that. She gave him a headstart, though, since she could easily outrun him.

"GEE BAIL ON MY NOW"

Yelling out loud when he was running away from her? He obviously wasn't a genius in her eyes. Didn't he realize that she could find him now because of the volume of his voice? She quickly ran out of the alley and after him, using her super speed ability once again.

She hadn't seen him go into the box, nor did she see or cause him to fall out of it. However, when she saw him on the ground in the other alley way, she stopped infront of it, blocking the entry way. "You aren't exactly the smartest kid alive, are you? Screaming when you're running away, and not even bothering to hide. Yes, you most certainly are a genius." She was obviously being sarcastic.

"Half your brain power? Should've been all," she told him. "I mean, I would have found you anyway even if you hadn't yelled, since you decided not to hide. But who knows, something stupider than myself may not find you if you don't yell next time. So, you might want to work on that." She shook her head, and looked at his torn pant leg. She didn't know how he'd done that, nor did she care.

"what do you want with me"

"I just want you to tell the truth about whether or not you caused that surge," she said simply.
