Damien looked around. So this was the forbidden forest? It didn't look dangerous... except for the fact that it was abnormally quiet. He began to re-think coming in here.

Don't be scared... there's nothing here... he told himself, taking a few steps into the forest. To take his mind off of the silence, he pulled out a book and began reading as he walked. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going, and had bumped into a tree once or twice.

After what seemed like forever had gone by, he looked up from his book and looked around once more. Nothing was there, from what he could see.

Good, he thought to himself, leaning against a tree and looking back to his book.

Damien blinked, and looked at the girl. "Huh? What?" He looked up, eyes widening. A ring of silver immediately made it's way into his eyes as he closed the book and jumped to the girls side.

"This isn't good..." he said, already knowing he was stating the obvious. He grabbed the girls wrist and slowly began to back away, trying to clear a path on the ground that was clear of snow.
