Ah, this was the perfect time of day for her. This was the only time of day for her that she didn't feel so distant from everything. She sighed as she slowly climbed the stairs to the rooftops, where for many nights, she would gaze out at the island as the sun settled. As she opened the door, the cool air of the night reached her, as she stepped it a bit further. She lightly smiled to herself, in awe that she may just be the only one up there that night. "Wow." Merana almost ran to the edge or the roof, looking down at the world from a height she had been now used to from being here.

She stopped though, and closed her eyes for a second, before jumping up and sitting on the edge of the roof, leaning back a bit to watch the sun start to go down for the day. She shouldn't be feeling as childish as she felt though, but as she thought, this was really the only time in most of her days where she would ever smile. People, especially large groups of people, weren't what she liked. They made her feel small, and uncomfortable. Merana sighed, and nodded lightly to herself, looking down at her side to make sure she still had her dagger, even though she knew it couldn't leave her. 'Let's just enjoy this, no matter who comes up here, or what happens.' She thought to herself, as she re-positioned her gaze on the horizon.

The roof of the school; not a place one would think a blind kid would find as a good hangout. Though, as Enzo spent time at SA, he's come to know the roof as one of the more quieter spots and he liked it up here, especially at night. Not that he could really tell it was night by way of visual ques but having a brail watch did help. That and the fact that it became less busy and noisy about the school grounds was also a very good indicator. After a rather chaotic day of school; maneuvering about the many crowds of students and becoming lost several times in the halls as all that movement made things confusing, he thought the roof to be a good idea to wind down before heading back to his dorm.

Having slowly and carefully made his way up the stairs, he stood at the last stair for a moment. Though it was night or getting close to, he still had his sunglasses hiding those pale green eyes of his and the hood of his jacket pulled securely over his head. He nonchalantly tapped his boot against the ground, head tilted slightly as he listened for any change in the sound vibrations that rippled through the floor and air. Then, deciding there weren't many people up here, if any at all; he couldn't be sure but it didn't seem like there was anyone else up here, he made his way toward the spot he usually chose when coming up here. It was simply easier that way since he knew by memory where the ledge on the roof was on this side and wasn't afraid to approach it.

Using his echolocation, by both listening to his footsteps and tapping the ground with one of his boots occasionally, he found his way to the ledge. Typically any sort of sound; snapping, clicking, etc, would be a good enough guidance to maneuver around. Though, having to find something closer to the ground, this was the easier method. Not realizing there was someone already sitting close by the spot he typically chose, he found the ledge, feeling about it for a moment before throwing one leg and then another over it, sitting with both dangling off the side.

Merana had closed her eyes at the sound of the night, hopeful that maybe only a few people would come up on the roof, and that they would go to the other side. She was sitting at the best spot though, one that overlooked the entire grounds area of the school. As she opened her eyes again, she tilted her head forward a bit to watch the night owls of the school hurry around, either trying to get into the school, or wandering off.

Merana lightly sighed and shook her head lightly. As she stopped, she heard a tapping noise. No wanting to attract the noise to her, she stayed as silent as she could. As it neared closer, she turned her head to the side it was coming form, and saw a boy coming towards the ledge. He too got his legs over the side as she had them.

Merana pondered for a second, as to say anything at all. She wondered as to why he had made a tapping noise. Was it something to do with his hearing? Or his vision. She couldn't be sure. "You think it's safe for you to be up here?" That statement sounded a bit bitchy, but in turn that was her attitude to most people.

"I'm just as safe up here as you are." Enzo said in that monotonous voice of his, leaning back on his hands a bit and getting into a more comfortable position.

"You are sitting on the edge as well, are you not?" He questioned with a slight hint of annoyance in his voice. He typically wasn't one to become agitated easily but an assumption like that didn't exactly warrant a very happy response.

Ahhh sorry it's so short :o

Merana made a huffing noise with her voice, and looked at him."I am yeah, but now that I look at the both of us, I look much safer." She leaned back a bit. "I don't ever do things the easy way, or the safest way." She paused and snarled a bit. "I'm used to it." She made her eyes a bit more narrow, trying to see what this guy was trying to get at. "Isn't my fault if you fall off." She smirked a bit at the boy. Why'd she have to always start conversations like this?

That's fine! mine are usually short! <3 don't worry about it.

"You don't ever do things the safest or easiest way." Enzo scoffed under his breath, shifting so that he was turned in the stranger's general direction.

"I can't do things the safest or easiest way." He reached a hand up to pull his sunglasses off. Even in the dark of night it was quite obvious those pale green eyes of his didn't receive any input as he seemed to stare straight through her. Normally he wouldn't out himself for being blind and made it a point to keep it hidden but was rather annoyed with this person and thought it a suitable come back.

"I'm used to it." He said in a mocking tone and gave a snarky smile before slipping his sunglasses on turning back in the direction he had been in the first place. "Why don't you enjoy your view and mind your own business." He once again leaned back against his hands a bit, hoping that would end this situation which was only steadily getting on his nerves.

Ok^^ I usually try to give longer posts so yeah xD

She looked blankly as he dude turned towards he. 'What was he going to do?' She thought to herself as she slowly turned her head over to him. "Hmm." She said under her breath as she was over looking right at him. "Well." That's all she could manage as she looked at his eyes, as they were looking in her direction, but not at her. As he redid himself as he was before, only one thing came to her mind. "Why did you show me that?" She questioned him slowly and quietly, just encase there were other up there, it would sound weird from a distance. "I mean, you really didn't have to you know."
