Atlus walked through the Manta Carlos streets, the tsunami was going to get here soon, and Atlus shoudlve been trying to get somewhere safe, but there was something wrong with this storm, it wasnt normal. Maybe it was just a hunch but Atlus had experienced a lot of magic bullshit, and storms like this one didnt just appear ahead of schedule, something was up. Atlus needed to get into the heart of that storm, see what was going on in there... he had done crazier things, all he needed was a way to get in.

Hudson had been midway through a book on the islets when he'd first heard the warning. A tsunami? It had been a long, long time since he'd been in the path of one, but it was not his first trip down the rodeo. Not by a long shot. Hudson had lived through every natural disaster that could be thought of, and he planned to ride this one out the same way he rode everything else out: In his true form.

He'd checked to make sure everything was being handled in the islets, and then he'd headed out into the field, rapidly growing to his proper size.

His proper size was, quite frankly, big. Most dragons on the island were comfortably building sized, the size of a small house (or a large house, if they were particularly large). Hudson himself was easily the size of a football field, and that was if you ignored his tail.

He took off from the islets, winging his way south. It had been more than a week since he'd taken his proper form, and he felt like it was always nice to stretch out, even if the situation was an unhappy one. People would no doubt die in the face of the tsunami. It didn't occur to him to try and help, either - he wasn't nearly large enough to protect the island from a tsunami, and there were better ways to escape than on dragon back.

With three mighty flaps of his forearms, he descended, landing on the street closest to the waterfront. He was too big to land in the city properly, and normally he would have worried about cars... but any cars left behind were only going to be destroyed anyway, so he landed on two, crushing them flat with his size alone.

He turned, staring out towards the sea, watching the wave in the distance. It wasn't even visible to him yet - he still had time.

Huge massive dragon flys in and lands on a street right by the water? Perfect. Atlus started running towards the massive dragon, his armor clanking loudly as he rushed towards it, he really hoped it could speak.

He approached the dragon and slowed down, trying to seem non confrontational he hid his golden arm under his cloak, though the hilt of his massive blade was visible. He was pretty sure he was in the dragons line of sight. "Yo. You feel the storm coming to yeah? Theres something not right about it."

As Hudson stared out over the water, he heard a noise that he was both intimately familiar with, and completely confused by. Was that - was someone in armor? He'd heard plenty of people running around in armor years ago, but he certainly hadn't heard anyone recently, and he was surprised to find his ears weren't failing him when he turned his head, fixing the figure in the gaze of one single massive eye.

It was... yes, it was a knight more or less. A man with a giant sword in full armor, trotting up towards him like it was just another day at the beach. He didn't seem to be unsheathing his sword, so the odds that he was a time displaced knight coming to settle an old grudge seemed low.

"It is a tsunami." He announced, his voice loud to the average person (although perfectly normal if you were the size of a football field). Did the strange armed figure not have a radio? Even he had one, although he couldn't play with it in his proper form for obvious reasons. "Likely magical in nature - it is bypassing the island's wards, which is no doubt leading to your feeling of dread."

"Yeah..." Atlus turned his head away from the dragon, and looked out at the sea. This storm was defiantly bad news, especially if it was bypassing magical wards.

"Theres something really bad about this storm, I want to check it out, see whats going on inside it." it was just a hunch, but Atlus thought something bad was in the eye of that storm, and it probably didnt have good intentions, in the back of his head he wondered, was this Tyrannix?

Hudson paused, then twisted around a bit more for a better look at the armored figure. One massive eyelid drooped in what was unmistakably a squint, trying to size up what the armored figure was getting at.

"At the moment, there won't be much of anything. At sea, the tsunami will be a long wave, not tall. It will only grow in size once it gets closer to the island." The shallower the water got, the taller the wave, until it crashed over everything in it's path. At the moment it was simply an absolutely massive 'short' wave that wasn't going to look like much of anything.

"Why are you in armor?" He was old enough that he could get away with asking pretty much anything he damn well pleased. No one was going to yell at a four thousand year old dragon for being too blunt.

They had time to prepare then, no point trying to ride into the storm now. He turned back to the dragon, bit of a strange question. Why did a dragon wear scales? Because hes a dragon. Atlus wore his armor because he was a warrior. Though that was kind of a stupid answer.

"Im not from around here."

Maybe hed get into more detail if the dragon asked.

"My names Atlus, what can I call you?"

Hudson let out a huff of air that would smell strongly of fire, like a match that had just been put out.

"Obviously. The question was if you'd come from the past, or from a different world. Or if you were just unusual." That was an option as well. Some people were from the present day, and yet still wore the strangest things.

"Hudson." He rumbled, deciding he would no doubt have recognized the man if he'd met him in his smaller form. He decided against his proper name, considering that anyone wearing that much armor was probably not going to be able to speak ancient Egyptian. Having people mangle the pronunciation of his name was just painful.

"Hudson, nice to meet you." hed stick out a hand but...

He thought more about the question, if he wanted Hudson to trust him enough to help him get inside that storm hed have to open up a bit more. "Im a uh..."

Atlus struggled to think of a way to explain it. "Im a dimensional traveler, I left my home to visit other worlds, its sort of a long story."

So he wasn't from the earth at all. Hudson wasn't sure how he felt about that. He knew enough about world history (having lived through big chunks of it) that it was a comfortable ground for him. If he'd really been misplaced from the middle ages, then he could relate to him quite exactly, having memories from the time.

"The long story can stay long. I was simply curious if you were from our past, or some other one. Armor is unusual here." Was he a new arrival, or did he already know just how unusual he was? Because he absolutely was. Even on a place as strange as the Manta Carlos Islands, he was still strange enough to stand out. Even next to a dragon, most people would look at the weirdo in armor first.
