As they approached the cave, her heart raced a little too fast. It didn't help that her only save feeling has escaped her as Wess let go. Though it was most likely for the best, it was still weird to feel as if she was all alone in this. Claire entered with Wess, though there was a horrible feeling in the air. It was as if Attel had sensed the news; that he already knew. "Well... I see that the two love birds have finally confessed?" His green eyes were not welcoming in that moment; they felt wrong and evil as they pierced through Claire.

With a flick of a switch, the 6'3" wolf lashed out at Wess. Though this wasn't a surprise to Claire, it was her move to step in front of the Wendigo and to take whatever beating that came upon her. Sadly, that beating was a large scratch across her right shoulder; the same place Wess has injured her at. With a wince, she fell to the ground, with half of the healed scars reopened, as well as forming two red lines across her neck area. Oh damn did that hurt. In a matter of seconds, Attel's eyes unfilled with rage and he soften. If the wolf could cry, he would have.

Wess was prepared for a fight, but what he hadn't expected was Claire to jump foolishly in front and take the hit. Blood. Wesley smelled blood and just like a shark; it put him into a frenzy. The last lingering human thought was that Attel had hit Claire, who was a friend.

When he threw himself into Attel, teeth trying to find a good hold through the muscle and fur, every action he took was infused with a heavy dose of utter rage. The Wendigo side of Wesley wasn't sure why it was infuriated, all it knew was this wolf had crossed a boundary and as one predator to another, he couldn't let that go unpunished.

His long-fingered hands rose to try and hold the wolf's snout closed as the other clawed at his eyes and face. Wesley wanted to smell the wolf's blood, to feel it slide down his throat, or at least, have the wolf running with his tail between his legs.

The Wendigo had officially claimed this place his. Too close to his territory. Too much of a threat. The threat had to leave, leave, leave.

For the few seconds that Attel seemed to care about her, she felt like everything was going to be okay. If of course, he hadn't given her a large gashes on her right neck area. There had only been a few times that Attel went enraged like this; but this was the worst. Why couldn't he just be happy that Claire had finally found someone she wanted to be with? Ripping the bottom part of her dress off, she made a satchel like wrap for her shoulder, in hopes of stopping the bleeding. Even though every fibre in her body wanted them to stop fighting, she knew that she would stand no chance here. The wolf girl rolled herself to the other side of the cavern, blinking as she tried to stay conscious.

Attel lunged at Wess once the Wendigo attacked him. There was a lot of growling at his end, as his inner rage escaped into every move he made. He got a few good nips in before the beast closed his mouth. From there, it was mostly any type of scratch that he could get in. Soon enough though, his nice, light fur was slowly turning darker and darker. Once he felt rather defeated against the Wendigo-knowing that he was not superior to him- he backed away a few steps, huffing loudly. "I'd like for you to l-" the wolf started, but it wasn't long until Claire interuptted. "No, I think you should leave Attel. I don't want to see your face at all." She stiffened up, hating that she had to be so cold to him. "I want to be with my boyfriend until he has to go, so leave." With that, he grumbled and snarled as he passed Wess, making sure not to get too close.

Wess bared his teeth at Attel when the wolf spoke. He wasn't listening. He didn't care for pretty words or human thoughts. He merely roared in response and jerked at Attel to get the wolf to leave quicker.

All the blood in the air was making Wess' head spin, and he was struggling to maintain any semblance of humanity when his attention turned to Claire. He stared at her for what felt like forever, hunched low and ready to pounce.

He sat down with a huff and buried his face in his hands. Claire's breathing, her heart, her blood. It was intoxicating. He was breathing hard, each sound a terrible hiss reverberating through the cave.

Attel whimpered as he left the cave, his tail in between his legs. There was obvious hurt in his eyes, but he refused to look at either of them. After a few seconds, Claire turned her attention to Wess. She knew how hard this must have been for him, considering that there was obvious blood coming out, even from under the bandage. "Sorry about that all." The girl was sniffling, but not because she was sad. Her wounds hurt a lot and she knew that she would have to deal with them alone.

For a second, Claire was sure that she was going to get eaten. With that look in his eyes, and the fact that he looked as if he was going to pounce on her. She was ready for whatever he was planning to do to her, as she would rather it be him that finished her off. When he didn't make a move, her breath came out all cracked and shaky. "You should go before you try to eat me." The girl wanted to have him by her side, but she knew that right now, that was the last thing that was on his mind. "I'll be fine, really."~

Wess bolted out of the cave. Just when Claire might have thought he wouldn't be coming back, he made his way in, hands covered in slick mud. He coated Claire with it and held his breath as he surveyed her wound. It helped.

Wesley was fuzzy on how to heal a human. He didn't work the same way, and he hadn't for decades. He paused, debating, and cleaned up the blood, throwing it carelessly outside the cave and as far from him as he could.

He laid his hand on Claire's wound, trying to slow the blood. With his other arm, he scooped her up and made a quick pace to the city. He'd have to have a real doctor look her over.
