Claire admitted to being a stick in the mud. It seemed like almost a month (but it was roughly only two and a half weeks) since she had seen Wess face to face. Yes, they had spotted each other in the forest and exchanged a glance, but then Claire usually ran off. She was ashamed that her attitude had gotten in the way of what could have been a really good friendship. And she had no one to vent to. Attel seemed as if he hated every second Claire talked about him, like he was jealous; gross. Though, it seemed like the beast still cared. Many times, she came back home to see corpses of animals, which could only mean that Wess was still thinking about her. She had tried to make a cute little flower crown for his big head, but destroyed it once she realized what she was doing. Claire was no sap.

SO there she was, belly button deep in water, only having a thin black dress that covered her undergarments. Whenever she was stressed out, her first thoughts were to go to the small pond by her house. As of that moment, she had a stream of water the swirled around her, shooting up into the air and making everything around her sparkle as it dispersed. To anyone, Claire looked like some goddess covered in her element. Not that she would admit it, but she subconsciously was in the water to attract her furry friend towards her. The water girl twirled, splashing the water around her as she threw small waves in every direction. A beaming smile was on her face.

Wess watched Claire from afar. He'd been like this for fifteen minutes, trying to get the courage to approach her. Why did she live in the Forbidden Forest? Didn't she knew it was dangerous? That monsters like him were around? She was in the water... no mud and scent tantalizing.

The Wendigo slunk out where she could see him and sat a good distance away from her. "What are you doing?" He made a face, scrunching his nose up and wishing he could speak without breathing. She smelled too good, and it was killing him. "Has your pack gotten my presents? I hope it makes up for what I ate." Wesley wasn't tempted by Claire's outfit, in fact, he hardly noticed it. That was the way he had always been, as weird as it may have seemed.

Wess had been thinking about Claire. Most of his thoughts weren't emotionally fueled in nature, but there were a few, and that scared him to no end. The Wendigo bit his lip, causing it to bleed.

As the Wendigo came into her line of sight, she smiled. Good, it hadn't taken long for her to lure him out. This was good, though it seemed that he was keeping his distance. Claire lowered her hands, the water that had been raised dropping in a satisfiyig 'sppulsh'. "I'm practicing my water manipulation." She nodded as she took a few steps out, so that the water was at her hips. Leaning down, she covered herself in the wet mush under her bare feet, hoping that would help hide her smell.

"Yeah, they say thank you for it all. I'm thankful too, as I took some of the smaller game for me and Attel." She nodded and took another few steps towards him, applying mud. Hopefully it was actually doing something. "H-How have you been?" Claire's voice was very gentle and calm, which was a change since last time they had talked.

It did help, but only a little. Wess held his breath as Claire stepped closer to him and narrowed his eyes in thought. "I upset you?" He said it like it was some big revelation. "I have been the same as I always am." His smile was humorless. "Hungry. And you?" Wesley didn't mind Claire getting closer to him, not on an emotional level. It was the physical level of it all that Wesley feared.

The Wendigo reached out to gently take hold of Claire's arm and pulled her closer, into a hug. He was hungry yes, he always was, but Wess had eaten before he came here. "I missed you. I missed having someone to talk to. But I didn't miss the cutting and stabbing."

"Maybe a little." The girl stuck her tongue out to signify that she was joking around. "I'm glad you didn't change." She only smiled at Wess commented on how he was. Hungry as always pretty much summed him up rather well. There was a gap that couldn't be filled by anyone else when he wasn't around. They had a special bond, something that Claire longed for a needed in her life. "I'm been good I guess." Her answer was low key, as she really wanted to say that she missed him. Not just as her punching bag and personal hunting assistant, but as an actual person that she liked.

It seemed as if the Wendigo read her mind. When she was pulled into the embrace, there was no hesitation in her as her face nuzzled up in his fur. Her arms wrapped around him, covering herself in his awfully delightful smell. "I missed you so much too, you have no idea." Clair
