Jude figured by that point that most teenagers would have glazed over. Investments, sale of commodities, luxury goods... only it was all more or less par for the course with him. He knew this, and it helped him a lot. It was like slipping on an old glove. An old glove he'd never actually worn, but one he was familiar with just the same.
He nodded along as she went through the list of duties. Standard. Easy. Detail oriented. Discrete. Discrete was standard, although the fact that Broen was there made Jude wonder if the discrete had edged from standard PA duties to Genovese family discretion, but he sure as hell wasn't going to ask that.
Which really just left one thing.
"I'm currently effectively out of school," Jude said. "I technically qualify as a remedial student, but I've finished catching up, and the decision was made for me to not start until the new school year. When the new school year starts, I'm going to be taking a modified course load."
It occurred to Jude that while she'd probably read his resume, she might not have picked up on the most important thing.
"One of my main skills is a perfect memory. Anything I see or hear I memorize perfectly. As you can imagine, this helps a good deal with scheduling, but it also means I have more free time when it comes to schooling. While I know Woodland Import's hours, I'm not sure what your usual working hours are, but I imagine I can accommodate to a certain degree."
That was the sticking point, wasn't it? That he was still a student. Did she even know that? Maybe not - Broen...
Was Broen even still going to be in school? Jude hadn't asked.
