Mei was pretty much the type of person that did things just because someone told them not to. It wasn't intentional, it was just a habit. Like things weren't interesting to her until she was told not to do them. Which was way she at the Pizzeria, with an XXL pizza staring at someone she was sure was Ardos. After all who else would fit the description of a drow who worked at a pizzeria.

Taking a slice of pizza out the box and walking up to the drow in question she stared up at him. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" She said tilting her head to the side before taking a bite of pizza. "You must be Ardos scary drow, Im Meili Super Swole drow" She was sure that she was violating his personal space, she didn't care and she meant no harm.

Ardos was dressed in a very generic pizzeria guard get-up, as far as pizzeria guards went. It was a ridiculous parody of the usual guard attire, with the colors being the same save for the fact that there was a cartoon of a pizza slice patch stuck to his pocket.

He didn't know why that was necessary. He didn't know why the pizza badge was necessary either, and why he was forced to use a baton instead of his more effective sword, but when he brought these issues up to the manager, he was given a snippy comment about how he was fortunate that the pizzeria was kind enough to hire a rabblerouser like him.

So he kept silent and did his job. His job wasn't particularly hard, anyway. He was basically getting paid to stand around and look scary for six hours. He was good at that. The pizzeria so rarely required him to do actual things considering most people didn't want to start shit in pizzerias in broad daylight. He threw a drunk out once. That was fun.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiii"

Ardos looked down at the child addressing him, and stiffened up when he realized it was a small drow child with some very human features. The depravity of this island was ridiculous. "Hello, miss. Do you need anything?"

Mei shook her head standing on her tippie toes to be try and be the same height as Ardos. She was only a little bit off. "Welllllll, i heard about you and decided to come see if you were real...you don't seem scary" She said shaking her head sadly and then offering him a slice of pizza. "Lets have lunch your interesting Ardos "

She tried to make her voice sound scary and creepy all at the same time. Like those mysterious fortune tellers. She also ate her pizza balancing the box on her head trying to make their hieght even. In hindsight, it was probably a bad idea to track down the scary drow.

Ardos scoffed. If he had a nickel every time some punk walked up to him and told him he wasn't that scary, he'd have a convertible by now. This kid liked to act like she wasn't a kid. She was interesting, but he wasn't taking her bait.

He gave the pizza a look. It... looked appetizing. But he kept his eyes straight ahead. "I'm not allowed to leave my post or eat until my break. Move along, madame."

Mei pouted and looks up at Ardos with her blue eyes. She didn't want to leave, she had walked alllll the way over there to bother him and it hadn't even taken that long. Okay she knew she should probably walk away before her dad saw her but like....The guy was just standing there obviously lonely. It was obvious, he wasn't even talking to anybody like the guards at the mall.

"Well when's your break, Ill wait. It's like ten am so it has to be soon right?" She said standing there as still as he was and waiting. She made sure to blink more than normal as she studied him, she had no idea why her dad didn't like him. He seemed like a pretty chill person, she was gonna best friends with him.

"Noon," he said, squinting at the little girl. Why wouldn't she leave? Did children not understand the meaning of words? He held his hands behind him, hoping for some goddamn peace and quiet. He sighed. "What do you want from me? I can't eat, but I'm not going anywhere, so if you want to talk, we can talk."

Mei beamed at him "Well my dad said you were scary and to stay away...sooo I had to see what alll the hype was about" It wasn't a secret that Mei did the opposite of what she was supposed to do unless it came to her siblings. Then she kinda had to do the right thing because she wanted to keep them safe, even if it was her fault they were all in the past.

"So uhm, why do you just stand here?? won't you do a better job by patrolling the premises?" She asked curiously.

Ardos scoffed. "Anyone that knows my reputation would be smart enough to steer clear of me. Who is your dad, anyway?" Ardos could think of a few people, but assuming was for idiots and braggarts.

Patrolling the... Was she serious? Ardos opened up the door of the ground floor pizzeria and checked inside for five seconds. He went out again, crossing his arm. "I've patrolled the premises. There seems to be no pizza burglars in sight."

Mei had no idea why but she found the scary looking guy so adorable. He was like...the those little kids in the sandbox who dressed all tough but wanted their mommies to kiss their booboos when they got hurt. She had decided that they would be best friends. "Sid.. So-kijak " she said not even blinking as she took a bit of pizza and stood with Ardos. She secretly wanted to know if he was gonna actually stand his post, like the those guards in birmingham palace.

"I don't think they're be after Pizza, more like the cash register" She said confused as to why someone would steal pizza when they could steal money.
