((ooc: no worries CD! I think I'd implied he'd said some things aloud, so it's most likely mine as well!))

Gabe followed Michael around the room, nodding along as he talked. The man's voice was a bit scratchy and hoarse from not having been used for so long. "Thank you, that's generous," Gabe told Michael, and it was , he hadn't needed to give Gabe a whole half of the room. That said the room wasn't all that big, but that wasn't any fault of Michael's.

"Don't worry I respect that," Gabe assured Michael. He didn't have any desire to touch any of Michael's things really, apart from mild curiosity. Michael was a very mysterious character to him. "They're not my things, so I won't touch them."

Gabe frowned a little, though he supposed Michael was right. "Yeah, that's probably for the best." He nodded, "once you don't make too much noise at night, then that'd be fine." Though he couldn't help but be curious as to what sort of "work" Michael did.

It is only natural. Michael said, and to him it was. For someone who spend most of his teenage years sharing an even smaller space with seven to ten people, sharing a room with just one person really wasn't a big deal... space wise. Everything else... Well, they'd have to see.

A few seconds later, he nodded, leaning against the window by his own bed, which was probably his favourite place in the room. Not that there were many places in the room, he just liked windows and looking at the sky.

I appreciate that. he said, and he did, since he used to know people who would take anything and everything, no matter what the person who owned the damn things said. And don't worry. I shall try to b quiet, though the last time I checked, doing homework isn't really the best way to create much noise.

Gabe nodded although he didn't really agree. It wouldn't be in his nature to share so much space of his room with anybody. Then again, perhaps Michael was far more generous than Gabriel could ever be. He shrugged.

Gabe wasn't really sure where to place himself, seen as William was currently curled up asleep on the bed that was supposed to be his. And god knows he didn't want to wake him, the boy was fairly grumpy if he awoken by someone else's accord rather than his own.

"It's only polite," Gabe returned. He wasn't going to take Michael's things, it was just common courtesy. "Oh," Gabe laughed a little, "you're right, unless it causes you so much frustration you end up throwing books around the room." Gabe wore a guilty smile, that suggested he did exactly that.

Michael raised an eyebrow at the smile, finding it curious that Gabriel would so something as childish as that. The man did seem to have a temper though, so maybe it wasn't that unbelievable.

Do not worry. I usually succeed in avoiding serious fights with my work. he said in an even voice, but a glint of something in his eyes. You do not need to stand just because William took your bed. he added a second later, notting Gabriel was shifting around uncomfortably. You may sit anywhere... Though I do not recommend my bed. Michael didn't actually sleep in the thing yet, so it wasn't because of that that he said what he said, it was just that he liked watching movies there so there were popcorn everywhere, though he did tried to clean them all when he heard he was getting a roommate.

"You must find it much easier than I do then," Gabe laughed. Then again Michael seemed to be the intelligent type, and besides he actually listened in lectures, which Gabe had a hard time doing.

Gabe looked around, he spotted a chair placed beside the desk.
"Is it alright with ya if I sit on that chair?" Michael was very particular about his desk and Gabe didn't want to start an unintentional argument with him.

Gabe hadn't really wanted to sit on Michael's bed anyway. It seemed like too much of an invasion of personal space. Beds were very personal, Gabe believed.

Usually. Though not always. he said, his shoulders relaxing a bit as he grew used to Gabriel's presence and the idea of actually talking to him normally about... stuff. It was weird, but he guessed he would just have to get used to it, and not just because he will be sharing the room with a man. He looked at the boy who was still soundly sleeping at the other bed and frowned a bit. If he was going to be friends with William, he had to get along with Gabriel. He knew that for a while now, it was only that the other man ruffled his feathers far too often far too much. He seemed to be trying now though.

Of course you may sit. Michael said, looking at Gabriel. Did I not just say so? His voice cracked again at the end of the sentence, making him start coughing as he tried to get rid of the itchy feeling at the back of his throat.

"I mean, I don't always get so frustrated that I throw my books across the room." Gabe responded, blushing a little. Michael might think he was rather stupid if that were the case. Homework wasn't always hard, he just didn't have the willpower to figure it out most of the time. "Just on occasions," he laughed a little.

Gabe glanced over at William and went to press a kiss to his cheek on his way to the chair. He planted his butt down on the seat. The chair gave a little creaking sound, "that was not what you're thinking it was." He clarified, though Michael wasn't really so immature as to think it was a fart. In fact, Gabe was probably the only one in the room who would have thought that. Even if Bill had been awake.

"I, yes, I know you did but," Gabe shook his head, letting his sentence trail off.

But you still feel awkward. Michael finished the sentence instead of him. Do not worry. I am not any better. And he probably wasn't, even though his feathers have started settling down instead of being as ruffled as the cat's fur then it is angry. If anything, Gabriel seemed calmer than Michael felt a moment ago.

And do you actually believe I am that immature? Michael asked, frowning. Plus, I am very well aware that that chair squeaks. It's been doing that ever since I moved in. The previous owner of the room must have broken it somehow.

"A little, I suppose." Gabe nodded, that was the word he had been looking for when trying to explain how he was feeling. It was a foreign feeling, he was usually comfortable in all social situations. He scratched behind his ear. That made him think of William, Bill always go itchy and asked him to scratch the itch. Gabe rose off the chair again, he didn't really feel like sitting on it, he'd rather sit at the end of the bed with William, at least there he could pet the poor boy.

Gabe shrugged,
"Not really," he smiled. "Just thought I'd point it out regardless." He nodded, "yeah probably."

Thinking about it a bit more, Michael understood the point of Gabriel's pointless comment. It was the need to fill the awkward silence and connect to the other person in the room, the same need that made people talk about the weather and all those other pointless things simply because they probably had nothing else in common with the person they were talking to. However, even though he knew that, Michael could not stop himself in pointing out how pointless it still was. It was just the way he was made, thought and functioned.

Looking at William all curled up on Gabriel's bed, he suddenly thought that the boy looked cold (probably because William always looked cold) and so he moved for the closeth, getting some more covers from there, and casting him over the boy, tucking him in. Hope you're having a nice dream, little one. he thought to himself, doing all that without remembering that it was William's boyfriend sitting right there beside him.
