Auden fully enjoyed every moment they had with their lips interlocked. It felt... New- but really good. He didn't have the exact words for what he felt like. A sense of not nothing, maybe. A sense of adventure that he was so eager to experience. His hand rested on heir shoulder, gently touching his strands of hair that fell down. When they pulled away and he felt Valentine lean into him, he only pulled their bodies closer and hugged him.

Valentine did not want to look up at all. He could feel the blood on his cheeks now, though most of the warmth he felt was from Auden. The other half of him just wanted to run and hide but he did neither. Or, well at least not the latter. He was hiding his face and how it was red all over.
"My heart can't take this much, Auden, can we just go?" he whine, in such a small voice, it would have been easy to miss if they hadn't been so close.
Auden pulled away as he was talked to, gently nodding. "Yeah, we can go." He moved a few steps back, not freeing his hand as he started to walk. "Ice cream right?" He knew that he had gone too far. He was paying for it now, seeing as Valentine wanted to be away now.
Valentine hadn't been familiar with affection but he knew distance when it was there. He knew distance far better but the suddenness in that moment startled him when Auden replied. His voiced seemed father despite the fact their hands were still interlocked. The warm feeling that grew in his chest went away quick, replaced with an empty void that seemed to gnaw at him as he tried to process the exchange that had just happened.
The demon followed quietly for just a few seconds, but a few steps in he spoke, ever so quietly as if any louder he could break what was left of their connection."A-Auden..." It almost felt like it was hard to speak; he could get his thoughts out. "Did you... not like what I said?"
He didn't want to dwell on how what Val had said effected him. There had been something so perfect about their exchange, so stopping it now felt like a waste. When Valentine stopped, he looked back and tried his best to make eye contact. "I did... I was happy to know that... I was having some effect on you." He took a hand away and placed it on Valentine's heart. "Did you really not like me doing that? Kissing you?" His eyes searched for something.
Little of the building anxiety left Valentine, hearing Auden's answer. It was still there, he was sure, and he could still feel it weighing him down. His hands felt colder than usual, and only then he realized the raven had released his. For a brief moment, there was another click in his mind; quiet reminders of having been left on his own before he felt a hand over his heart. The gesture startled him out of his thoughts, enough for him to take a step back, holding his arms defensively in front of him.
It took a moment before he settled back into the present, realizing his actions, he tried to brush it off like it hadn't happened, choosing instead to speak after finally finding his voice again. "....That wasn't what I meant," he began, voice shaking just a little but he wouldn't have noticed himself. "I'm... just not used to it. Too much contact, I mean. Understand that for me please. Let me take my time. I don't mean to drive you away."
