"Could be, not sure how difficult it is to date me." He shrugged a bit, sure that he had ruined any chance he had at being something to Valentine. He had insulted and stalked him- and frankly he didn't deserve to be as close as he was to him. The kiss was unexpected. Auden's cheeks flared up as he had to hide his face behind his other hand, whilst the other gripped onto Valentine's. He sputtered to make some sense of it, but it seemed that his mind and words failed him. He didn't really reply to Val's comment, but rather moved in close and rested his head on his shoulder, as if to hide his face easier.

Frankly, Valentine couldn't look back either, his face flush from what he did, but he hid it behind his usual nonchalance. It would have been easily to read him by the way he seemed to be shaking ever so slightly from it. He felt weight on his shoulder, realizing it to be Auden almost immediately. Audent hadn't replied to Valentine, which made the latter bite back a grin. "W-what? Cat got your tongue?" he tried to say. He bit the side of his cheek for stuttering. This was fine. He was fine. "I didn't hear what you said."
He closed his eyes as he felt his heart get heavy, like all the blood on his body was rushing to it. There were butterflies in his stomach , and it seemed as if he was going to burst. Finally, he opened his eyes and lifted his head. "...Can I have another?" He didn't want to seem needy, but they had barely gotten a kiss. "If that's okay to ask...."
Valentine almost regretted egging him on.
There was a very short moment of silence for a while, enough for Valentine to collect himself a little better. And yet at the moment Auden asked the question, his breath visibly hitched. Almost for a whole 2 seconds he held it that way before all the color went back to his cheeks. "Y-you have to earn it first," he stuttered, trying to play coy. Damn it, why must he keep stuttering? "I won't really mind but you have to earn it."
He gripped onto his shirt, nervous. Why was this so nerve wrecking? Because he actually liked Valentine and had been looking at asking him out for months? Maybe. "H-How...?" HIs voice wasn't confident for once. "How do I earn it? You have to tell me." He couldn't read minds, sadly. Auden just wanted to make him happy, to make what they had just shared mean something.
Valentine shut his eyes for the moment. He heard that one moment Auden didn't sound like himself -- or at least the Auden he'd become familiar with. Admittedly, he felt a little weak, but that was one he wouldn't say aloud to anyone at all. He took a deep breath for himself, pondering if he should drag it on or just give him what he wanted.
The former won over him--he blamed the demonic snake half of him for it for whatever result it gave them. "Should I tell? Sound so easy if I just do that..."
"If you don't....Then how will I know if you even want me?" Auden looked to the ground, his body shivering slightly. "Was that kiss just a- a way to get at my emotions or something? To let you know that I want you?" He huffed as he slowly tried to make eye contact. "Because I do- I want to.... Be by your side- or at least mean something to you!" He wasn't good at guessing anyways, so the ability to guess what he had to do to get a kiss would be low.
It was going to be hard to be his usual cheeky self, around him wasn't it? Not like this. Definitely not like this. With Auden letting himself out into the open for him like this stirred a lot of confused feelings for Valentine. He hadn't expected the avalanche that would come with one gesture he let himself do. It was... nice to know; it gave him a fluttery feeling he could probably get used to, sure. But he was a little scared about it too; a tiny smidge of fear just crawling in. From where, he didn't have a clue.
"Th... there isn't anything to do," he whispered, closing the between them gap a second time. He wanted to smother that little crack that was ruining the good feeling. Valentine didn't pull away too soon this time; sending a quiet message telling him he did mean something to him. Valentine couldn't tell him everything yet though. Valentine pulled away, his face just hovering inches away from him, looking for his gaze before shying away and once stepping back; no words came from him as he waited for Auden's response,
He wanted to run away. To forget that all of this had ever happened, so that they could both just move on. It seemed like the right thing to do, after Val seemed to be playing games with him. Sure, he would have gladly loved it any other day, but not when he had placed his heart down for Valentine only to touch and poke like it was something they didn't want. Like broccoli for a child. When he finally talked, he was ready to pull away and never look back.
His actions spoke louder though, as their lips touched in a heated kiss yet again. This time though, Auden had a chance to savour it. To feel his lips on theirs, to sense their heavy breathing and nervousness otherwise. To know that he wasn't alone, which was the only feeling that truly mattered. His hand rested on their shoulder as they locked their lips, trying his best not to freak out about how happy he was. When he pulled away, Auden only gazed at him, his eyes half lidded. "That was... Perfect."
