Auden chuckled as he saw the other get more than flustered. He waited for the other to even be able to make a sentence, eyeing his reaction. How cute was he? Super cute. Ultra cute- everything. "I like you for you, is all." He cleared up, moving away for him to breathe. "You're okay." But there was a rather devious grin on him now. "I didn't know you were so cute."

Valentine didn't want to say the words even in his head, but if he wasn't having heart problems at the moment, he would otherwise say he felt his heart skip a beat. Words were one thing but the series of events was giving Valentine reason to be very self-conscious and flustered.
If that wasn't enough, the grin on his face was just downright unfair. It was giving him that odd fluttery feeling he couldn't quite place at all. "I-I'm not cute! I'm a venomous predator! Vipers can't be categorized as cute!" he insisted, though his blushing face would probably contest to that.
"Do you even believe what you're telling me?" Auden tilted his head and contemplated kissing their forehead again to prove it wrong. "You're cute , not just because you're blushing like this. It's also because you... you have me a chance to see her you aren't just like everyone else." He smiled "a snake doesn't have to bite though, and otherwise they are just... They're something to marvel at, to gaze upon, like I am with you." Auden get a bit red at his own words, feeling embarrassed.
"O-of course I do!" Valentine piped up. Of all things people called him, cute wasn't in the category he was particularly fond of. Why was it even possible for people to associate the word to him, he wondered. Apperance wise, surely no one would; but Auden was making it harder for him to keep the blush from spreading even further.
"There's nothing cute about that. A-and stop saying embarrasing things." Valentine's blush could have mirrored Auden's but if it hadn't been obvious, Valentine was probably redder than he was. "You're blushing too you know!" Valentine squeaked. Squeaked. He fell another step back, hands shooting back up to his mouth. He hadn't been in any way flustered for a while so for the whole while, he'd kept his voice low and steady. Apparently his squeak hadn't gone away at all. Figures.
"You're not really convincing me." The raven cocked his head to the side, as if he was spotting out his prey's weak point. But it wasn't like that this time- he wasn't food. "You're stuttering and blushing more than you should- a mess, really." Auden sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "I can say what I want.... Can't I?" He chewed on his lip, blushing even more and backing up as his redness was noticed. "I-I'm... Y-You... You're treating it as if I'm asking you out."
Valentine wasn't sure if it was just him, or he was letting himself be backed into the figurative corner of where this was going. He was keeping the viper identity or whatnot, but the more he talked, the more he stuttered. Auden pointing it all out to him didn't help. He knew he was a mess, but not at this level.
"Y-yeah w-well," Come on, Vals, think of something!? "You sound like you are about to!"
"Maybe I will!" He huffed, crossing his arms and pouting a bit at him. "Why don't you date me, Valentine? Why not?" It sounded more threatening than it needed to be, for sure. "Is there anything stopping you right now?" There was no wall or barrier that was- oh, wait. "I... Fuck. I'm poly..."
In a more serious thought, Valentine would have had a list of reasons why he wouldn't date -- not him specifically but in general but that was a notion he couldn't get in to right now. The list seemed stupid in his current mind so he paid no mind to the memory of it. "What? Polyamory? Hah! if you think that can stop me then why don't you try me, huh Auden? Maybe I would date you! What about that?!"
The initial thought of a casual date-not-date at the ice cream parlor seemed to have gone out the window to the pair.
Auden just... chuckled. It wasn't much of a retorted if he was just wanting to date him anyways. Most of the time it turned people off, but maybe Val didn't even know the meaning of the word. "Then do it, I dare you." The boy snorted as took his hand. "Be my boyfriend."
Valentine's eyes narrowed as Auden chuckled. He decided he wasn't taking back what he said or even pretending he hadn't said anything. Because of course he did, and of course the idea embarrassed him to a point of the blush just coming back. "That it?" he retorted, simply letting Auden take hold of his hand again. "You make it sound like it's too hard."
With maybe a surge of confidence (or possibly his simply reckless nature), it was his turn to pull Auden for a kiss. It was mostly a quick peck on the lips and Valentine pulled away immediately before turning to face the other way, his fringe hiding his face from view. "You still promised me ice cream."
