Izzy walked through the streets of the city with a pep in her step. She was armed with a map and her poor directional skills to find the library. She didn't doubt her school's ability to provide her with the things she needed to find out what she was but she was growing desperate. She had only been on the Island two weeks and she was dying to figure out what she was. She had been told it was simple, but then they kept changing their minds about what she was. She's wasn't an elemental whatever, definitely not a vampire.

She finally found the library, going straight to the section of mythology and and folklore. She was kind of hoping that it would explain somethings that had been happening. Like how it suddenly started raining the moment that she wished it would. Or how she wanted to surf and there was no waves, but then suddenly there were waves. Especially since it was supposed to be sunny and bright, not rainy and wavy.

Izzy walked through the rows and rows of books picking up all the books that she thought would help, walking over to the table with about ten books. She placed them on the empty space of the table. Funnily enough the library was empty besides a few people, one of them happened to be a man that seemed to have a sort of chill to him. Not unpleasantly so, like a brain freeze but like...weirdly enough to be familiar.

Rarely did Pasha wander out of the bar. He had a modest home on the upper level and it suited his needs well enough that he often found he didn't need to leave at all. The temperature was also comfortable for him, which meant freezing for others. Small spaces like that were much easier to manipulate, and though he could theoretically plunge the whole library into a deep freeze, he found little reason to.

The library provided books, however. He liked to peruse them on occasion, sometimes finding newer books on history that he'd yet to add to his own collection. There wasn't anything about them that he didn't already know, but he still liked to have old tombs for posterity more than anything.

However, what he definitely wasn't expecting was a familiar-but-unfamiliar feeling running up his spine when a little girl passed him among the shelves, her arms full of books. He couldn't quite describe it, but he did find himself glancing at her as she walked towards a table and plopped her armful down.

Huh, strange.

Izzy noticed something slightly off like the air was kind of cold, her body automatically heated up the area around her. She had found it was a natural reaction to what she thought was cold, though it didn't happen in water for some reason. She figured it had something to do with her power, but people with pyrokinesis didn't have her problems. She sat down next to the big scary guy, something about him seemed familiar...and off at the same time. Like she shouldn't want to be near him, but there was a sort of curious about him.

She flipped through one of the books, she needed to know about powers that changed her chair, maybe there was some type of legend to go with her sudden change of look. She was sure that you didn't get a perfect suntan the moment you step outside during the summer.
"What is up with me" she mumbled to herself, as she flipped through the pages. She had no idea where to start looking.

She turned to the big scary guy "Hey do you know if the library has sections on powers besides mythology section? I don't think i'm a sphinx or a tree nymph" She shut the book with a sigh, and then pushed it away from her. She didn't even know what the hell her powers were, she quickly picked up a book on people with fire power type powers. She wasn't phenix most definitely wasn't some laval monster thing.

It would be nothing to worry about, he told himself. The large tomb he was holding on the history of the Baltics continued to be flipped through, a few interesting tidbits here and there but otherwise nothing new. Nothing was new anymore. He'd lived most of it, so whatever happened to come up was anything but surprising.

Then the girl spoke up. He glanced down at her once more, his lips pressed into a tight, unimpressed line as it always was. His most neutral expression could've been said to be very disappointed at best.

"Unfortunately, I don't know much about this library." He didn't visit it often, and most of his knowledge was restricted to the history sections. He flipped another page of his book, looking delicate underneath his leather clad fingers. The girl was almost literally half his size, and likely half his weight. Comparatively, they must have looked hilarious sitting next to each other.

Izzy looked at the guy and couldn't help but feel a chill, so she did what she normally did. Heated up the air around her increasing the temperature. Until she was more comfortable, which mean that it had gotten pretty hot in the area around her. She hadn't thought about the guy sitting beside her, as she muttered to herself trying to stay warm.

"Control over water is water elemental, but no control over heat and fire also. There's also the red hair thing. Gosh why are these books so vague...they don't have all the symptoms together" She muttered to herself playing with the end of her hair. She was still stuck on elemental abilities. She hadn't thought to ask the school if they had any special books, after all they wouldn't be able to tell her what was wrong right? To many people with too many different powers.

Was it just him, or was it getting increasingly hot in here? Pasha was growing uncomfortable, personally preferring subzero temperatures himself. In turn with the growing heat, he began to cool down the air around him. The side of the library he was sitting on began to chill as well, slowly dropping degrees.

Pasha glanced over at the girl again when she began to mutter to herself. Elementals? Ah, entirely likely. His own powers could easily be misconstrued as elemental powers, but he knew that wasn't the case. No, his were more specific than that. Arguably more powerful, but that did really depend.

He was getting grumpy, uncomfortable with the growing warmth.

Finally, he flipped closed the book on the history of the Baltic States in front of him, looking over at the girl. Grumpy, but not oblivious, he stated: "It's you who is making it warm?"

Izzy stopped when she was asked a question and then blushed and nodded "Yeah, sorry dude. It's just whenever it's cold the air around me heats up. It just started happening recently but whatever dude." She shrugged it off and began to look through the pages and then stopped when she realized it was he was making it colder.

"Are you making it colder?? Dude that is soo not cool. It's supposed to be warm" She stared at him wide out...Supposed to be warm?? She just felt like it had to be warm for some reason, maybe it was because he body temperature was permanently screwed apparently. Either way she was a bit wary of the guy sitting next to her.

The girl looked young, so it was little surprise that she spoke rather informally. It didn't bother Pasha on a fundamental level, though he did find it mildly irritating at best.

A leather gloved hand remained on the thick bible of a book, the cover made of worn fabric and the pages yellowing. It came from the archives, though people rarely looked at those anymore. The younger generations just had little interest in history, and someone had said that history was the only subject that got longer and harder to study as time went.

His fingers clicked on the cover of the book as if trying to remain patient. "Yes, I am. I cannot tolerate the heat very well." His thick Russian accent made it a little difficult to understand, but it wasn't impossible. His side of the library was frigid, while her side was probably sweltering. It wasn't good for the books, anyways.

Izzy looked at the man with wonder...he could make things cold and she could make things hot. "So what's your power...uhm sorry if you don't mind me asking. it's just i'm trying to find out what I am and they keep telling me i'm not a fire elemental but It's close. i don't even know." She said running a hand through her hair. She felt about the man not being able to handle heat. She wasn't able to really control things yet, she'd turn down the heat if she could...but the last time she tried to it caused a rain storm.

"Sorry, My name is Izzabella." She said offering her hand to the older man to be shaken, he seemed like the type of person she should be wary of but he seemed strangely familiar.

The fact that he was the winter wasn't exactly a secret, though those who knew their politics and history would likely raise a brow at him. He also wasn't an expert on powers by any means, so the girl trying to figure out what she was by asking him was a terrible idea.

"I have an affinity to the winter and cold." More like he was winter, not just an embodiment, but the physical manifestation of the season. Technically speaking, he wasn't lying to the girl. The girl herself seemed a bit more open, or maybe that was just the confusion.

He took her hand, giving it a single, firm shake. "Pasha." No surname. Those weren't necessary, and gave more information than what was needed.
