Suddenly Live went from looking merely odd to turning into a being that was nearly all shadow. The difference was mesmerizing; her hair blended into the night sky as her skin darkened. Her eyes became all-consuming black holes; Wakanda felt she could see right through her head if she examined them close enough. So it seemed whatever she was, she was more darkness than human. However, it was still hard to say her exact species. This would be something she would have to consult her books for. It was an interesting subject for another time. Then again, perhaps this was the perfect time to discuss such matters.
The other shadows wiggled in the night as they kept having access to Wakanda's magic. It's not like she could close it off anyway; whenever she connected to someone or something able to use magic, the transfer would occur even if she didn't want it to. All she could do was try and sever the connection by not touching the person, being, or object. To be honest, it was quite inconvenient. It was something that bothered her for many years and felt that she could really do nothing about it. She wanted to be able to use her own magic to at least defend herself, but that seemed impossible.
The odd magic battery girl shook her head as the other girl asked if she had any way of defending herself. She did not; this was the risk she took every time she left the house. It was a risk her parents rather she didn't take or bother with, but she could care less at this point. She couldn't allow herself to be locked up within a gilded cage even if it was for her own good. She desired freedom, and she was willing to risk danger in order to seize it.
"If I were to run into trouble right now, I would be in a dilemma. I have not found a way to harness my magic, and my family prefers to lock me up tight within the mansion rather than give me any form of help."
An exasperated sigh escaped her lips. Her tone was quite bitter.
"My only desire is to be free from my fine prison, but that involves sneaking out whenever I wish to go somewhere. Not ideal, and definitely dangerous, but oh well."
She seemed oddly dismissive and unconcerned about the fact that she could find herself in real trouble within the outside world. Her magic reserve brought nasty consequences, but she had been fortunate enough to avoid them for this long. It was hard to say when her luck would run out.
