The Carnival was in town. That set the scene about as well as it had to be set. Cade still wasn't entirely sure how Addy had managed to convince him to take her to the event. Her energy had been cute, so he'd agreed.
The smell of funnel cake and other fried foods, the constant screaming of ride goers, and the sound of games being played. Yeah, this was what Caden remembered of carnivals. He hadn't been to one since his adolescence, but this was near identical to how he remembered it. Plus magic. That was the only difference.
He glanced down at Addy. He hoped she wasn't expecting him to win her a prize because she'd be solely disappointed if that were the case. And just to get something straight, "enjoy it while it lasts. We're not coming back tomorrow."
Cade shoved his hands in his pockets. "Shouldn't you be here with friends your age?" He wasn't trying to be cruel, not really. It was a good question.
Addy was literally bouncing as she stepped, she had convinced Cade to take her to the carnival. Of course she could've went with someone her age, she could've dragged shay or one of her other friends. However, she very much preferred Cade as company. Why? Well it was because Cade was a tough cookie, and she was determined to get him to crumble. He didn't know it yet, but this would the best "hey you work for my bother/dad" outing ever. If she was being real she was inwardly smirking at the fact she was able to convince Cade to accompany her. First Cade, then the world, she was one step closer to world domination. She will Name the earth Glitterworld, and Glitter would be the universal Symbol of her planet.
"Sure, Sure. Ill just get that big Musclely one to take me here next. " She said snickering, she was going to make her way through alllll of Klaus's empolyees. Maybe she should throw another glitter party and get one of them to come. She stored that thought away for later.
"I could be here with my friends, however i'm not. Because they're easy to convince and im honing my skills for world domination. Therefore, you are my first Victim, congratulations, you're special for them moment." She said donning sunglass almost identical to the ones he wore occasional. Only her's were pink, yes she was COOOOL.

Cade rolled his eyes, though Addy couldn't see that. He didn't smile outwardly, but her confidence was a source of amusement to him. If Cade weren't so stubborn, he'd have played with the idea of taking her the next day, too.
"World domination, huh? Go big or go home. What do you plan on doing with the world once you dominate it?" Cade waited for her to answer before he went on. "So, you convinced me, your dads' employee, to take you to the fair to hone your persuasion skills? You think that's much harder than convincing your friends? It's unlikely any of your fathers' men will say no. Still too easy. Try more challenging target next time."
Caden noted the sunglasses, but he didn't say anything about them for now. They were very Addy, minus the glitter. Pink without glitter and some fuzzy outer trim? Maybe he should remind her of that because it'd be all too funny to see her walking around wearing them.
Addy tilted her head and shrugged her shoulders. "No much, I just wanna own it. No glitter parade, no Addy worship week...just me owning the world." She said simply, it was random that she didn't have some outlandish plan in place. She didn't know if it was her adjusting to being around people other than her father or servants...or just her growing out of a phase.
"Well technically speeking I'm honning my power skills. My dad's employees probably wont complain as much as other people." It was funny how living with Klaus and Vito in her life, she had come to see them as her dads. She hadn't really thought it would happen but it had.

"Owning something for the sake of owning it?" Cade asked, thinking over that. "Good luck. Many have tried to own the world, and all of them have failed. Like that old children's tale about the dog and the bone. You ever hear that one?"
Of course, Cade imagined a woman would have an easier time owning the world than a man, but that was just because men were more likely to fall at their feet. He glanced at Addy from the corner of his eye, the look hidden by his shades. No doubt plenty of people would fall to Addy's will.
"Your dad's employees probably won't even fight you, which makes the honing part of that a little difficult. There's no challenge in telling any of us what to do. How do you know it's your powers working and not just because you're our bosses' daughter?"
Being asked where to go was irksome. Cade wouldn't have normally come to the fair for a fun time, so how the Hell was he supposed to know where to take them? "Whatever you want. I'm escorting you, remember? So your rules."
Addy nodded, she had indeed heard that one before. She didn't think that she was like that, though. Dropping one thing or another thinking that there was something better around the corner. She was the type of person who would keep what she had and take the thing she thought was better. She was still kind of figuring out what she wanted out of life, and she figured world domination...or at last island domination was a good start. She didn't want to tell Cade, that Maybe..just Maybe she wanted to be one of the most Well known person on the island. There was one thing she was sure of and it's that she wanted all the attention she could get.

Cade listened to Addy, quiet. When she had finished talking, he reached out a hand and mussed her hair with an appeased sound. "You're a cute kid, but those powers yours are either going to get you into big trouble or out of big trouble. I say, yes. Use them on your father's' associates, just be careful which you choose. Most of them are loyal to your parents, but there are those who would still hurt you, even if that got them worse than killed."
When Addy suggested she could get a jock to win her a stuffed animal, Caden laughed at the thought. "You think a jock is going to approach you while a shady man is standing next to you?" Cade thought about it, smirked and nodded. "Time to test your powers. Let's do it. Maybe you can convince him to spend all his money and get you everything."
Addy smirked and looked at Cade from over her glasses. He was probably a bad influence or good influence depending on how you looked at it. Addy was Still in that awkward transition between adorable preteen and hot teenager. She was still trying to adjust and she figured her powers were too.

She kissed him on the cheek and she could tell that he was still a bit shaken from her influence.

Caden would have liked to believe he was a neutral influence in Addy's life or a good one. He always kept that professional barrier in place and tried not to suggest anything to her that might get him in trouble later on. All of that was for his benefit and less for hers.
Cade watched as Addy worked her charms on this jock. The Bogeyman could tell the boy was shaken by her influence; part of that was possibly being spoken to by a cute girl. Wasn't that how most teenage boys were? Distracted by their attractions? Cade didn't know by experience, but he recalled that was the way things had been when he was in high school. Some things never changed.
Five tries and a good pocket full of money later, Addy was coming back to him. Caden had remained in his same position. Now he wondered if that boy would realize he'd been used. Would he regret spending so much on a girl who only kissed his cheek? Probably not, but it still amused Cade to think the boy might.
Caden took the tiger and eyed it over briefly before tucking it under his arm. "Very early present. Thanks." He reached out and grabbed the dragon from her to carry it. That way she wouldn't be struggling to see over it. Just all around easier. "He might have just been distracted by you. Good job. Now we step up the game."
Cade peered around until he spotted a haunted house and vaguely gestured to it. "Get us in without tickets. Teenage boys are fun to take advantage of, but it's not a particularly hard feat."
Addy was glad he took the dragon because was kinda of heavy. She couldnt have the guy follow her around and carry it. She wasn't that good yet. Still she skipped over and tilted her head. Hmm how was she gonna do this. Obviously she was gonna get that boy fired, or he would say no.
She hurriedly stuff her tickets in the back pants of her jeans as she went over to the haunted house. She reached the haunted house slowly making sure everyone else already gave up tickets and went in before she started her scheming. She patted her pants pockets and frowned. "oh crap, I think I dropped the tickets" she said turning partly between cade and the ticket guy. Her big green eyes watering dramatically.
"Do you think you could let us in just this once, I'd really appreciate it" she added a few breaks in her voice, subtle touches and the saddest face she could muster.
She wondered what Cade thought of her act.
