Mery didn't really want to explain that she was pregnant as she was going to throw up. "Yeah, I'm great." She said, even though it was evident she wasn't.

She returned a few minutes later, her cheeks really pale. She sat down next to Nicolas and pulled her knees up to her chin. "So, um. What were we saying?" She asked.

As soon as she returned, Nicolas gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her. She was really pale, and he was very concerned. "Are you sure you're ok?" he asked. "You don't look so good." He didn't bother to mention what they had been talking about before, since her health was more important to him.

Mery nodded. She took his hand. "I'm great. Really, I am." She turned and looked at him, trying to decide how to tell him. She smiled a little bit. "You know, I really like the name Odette. Don't you?" She asked.

"Alright, if you're sure," he said, gently rubbing the back of her hand with his thumb. He really hoped she was alright... it'd be terrible if she got horribly sick again. Once had been enough.

When asked if he liked the name Odette, Nicolas raised an eyebrow somewhat, wondering what that had been for. He nodded though... it was a pretty name. "Yeah," he said. "Why?"

Mery took his other hand and turned all the way around so that she was facing him. "'Cause we're gonna have a baby!" She said happily. She wasn't sure how he'd react, but she hoped with all of her heart that he'd be happy too.

Mery's smile widened. She was so happy that he was happy! Her smile faded when he fell over. "Umm...oops. Oh crap." She shook him gently. "Nicolas? Nicolas..." She started shaking him up. She stood up and left, then came back a few minutes with a cup of cold water in her hands. She dumped it on his head.

As she shook him, the young man didn't remain consciousness. However, as the cold water collided with his face, Nicolas sat up with a start, looking around until he finally looked at Mery. He pouted. "What was that for?" he asked, whining. He rubbed his face with his shirt, trying to dry it at least a little bit.

Mery sighed. "Well you fainted. And I didn't know what else to do." She wiped as much of the water off of his face as she could, then sat back down, not saying anything else, just smiling happily.

"Oh..." Nicolas said, recollecting what had happened. As she sat back down, the young man wrapped both arms around her tightly, smiling happily as well. "I'm gonna be a daddy!!" he exclaimed, already a proud parent. Oh, he couldn't wait to be a father. It was going to be so much fun!! "And you're gonna be a mommy!! How long have you known? How long how long how long?"
