Ricky was exhausted. She hadn't been caffeinated properly since she ran out of coffee earlier that week and Ricky was ready to kill anyone who crossed her. She needed coffee, not the crappy cafeteria stuff, but her coffee. With the tsunami on its way, she realized she probably wouldn't be able to use the coffee machine in the cafeteria at all. Ricky sighed; she had been avoiding the issue of a coffee machine for a while, not wanting to spend the money for one that works properly. Sadly, she knew she would have to face it eventually, and it seems that the time has come. Ricky grunted, kicking her chair back from under her. Ignoring the slight pain in her foot, she grabbed her purse, trudging out of her dorm room. Maybe now would be a good time to get stuff before the tsunami hits.
She just hoped the grocery store sold coffee machines.

Waking up in the morning was always the worst part of the day. Toby had a room alone, so that meant when he woke up he didn't have any energy to drink up. Luckily today was a special day, because people were stampeding past his door and that was just the jolt of hyper-charged energy he needed to get his day started right.

He wasn't really sure why everyone was running and screaming and hiding, but what mattered was that everyone was out having a good time, and so was he. He skipped down side streets, humming to himself as he passed boarded up windows and frightened people who barely looked at him as he passed.

Skip skip skip.

He found himself at the grocery store, and man did he love this place. They had great sausages and fish and apples and cakes, and just great everythings all around for everything!

He skipped right into the doors, plastering his face against the glass. "That's weird, usually the doors open before I hit them."

Ricky was... upset, to say the least. The grocery store, while technically supposed to be open, was empty. Mere feet from her destination, and she had been thwarted by a glorified window. Coffee was the least of her worries, she was way overdue on getting groceries, having had leftover pizza for the past two days, and she needed sustenance if she wanted to survive the tsunami.

She began to pace in the parking lot, also empty, holding her lighter up to the cigarette that hung from her lips. Yet another thing she was low on. She knew she should quit, as she had been told by many, but that was an issue she didn't like to think about. Smoking may be awful for your body, but it took her mind off things, and with a tsunami about to hit, she needed the distraction. She flicked the lighter on, holding it to the end of the cancerous object.

Hearing a voice, she turned towards the doors and walked closer. "Hey!" She started running, relieved to see another person. "You an employee?"
