The shifting was definitely in his control, he just... had to figure it out. Had to figure out how to control his own emotions. If only the brain wasn't such a complicated organ. If he could mold it like the rest of his body, there would be no problem he couldn't take on by himself.

"I've been wanting to ask about that. Almost did while we were moving the boxes, then I went, 'Oh wait, there are vampires and other light-sensitive beings here. Or maybe he can turn people into stone by looking at them,' and figured it might be a stupid question to ask at best, and rude at worst. But... since you brought it up...?" He shot an inquisitive look at Stefan.

Stefan laughed as Kon brought up vampires and other beings. Not that they were abusing to him, but that he had never thought of it before himself.

"Best way to put it, I have Siren's eyes. Whenever I make direct eye contact within someone, they are overcome with a great attraction to me."

He took another sip of the lemonade.

"So it's easiest to just have glasses with mirror lenses to avoid people trying to jump me as I walk down the street."

"My therapist has something similar. I always thought an attraction aura would be nice to have, but I realized pretty soon that it can range from relaxing to downright unpleasant for both sides. I've heard of some so bad they border on mind control. I ended up getting a charm to block mind powers from effecting me because of that," he said with a thoughtful look to his eyes. Powers and how they mixed on the island could be random and strong. Safety and privacy were two things Konpeitō deeply valued and he wouldn't be able to stand the island without a charm.

"Ah, not to insult your power. You being open about it makes it and taking steps to not misuse it makes clear you're not going to use it for anything awful."

"I would never do anything like that. Mine is specifically rough. If the person has the capacity of being sexually attracted to me, my eyes make them feel that, even total strangers. One's that don't have that capacity feel I am the greatest friend and ally they could have."

Stefan knew the value of someone's freewill. He would never cross that line unless extreme circumstances called for it or the other person was aware and consenting.

It was one of his powers he openly talked about because of how it could affect other people. His others might come up in conversation but they really didn't FORCE an affect on someone like his eyes did

Good thing for the classes. Stefan was attractive, sure. He was handsome with a good body, but he was also young, and, well, Konpeitō had many qualifications for men and he wasn't sure what he valued most.

"That sounds rough. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Maybe you can save up for a more specific nullification bracelet. If, uh, the sunglasses obscure your vision when you're inside or it's dark. They're pricey, but the price ranges based on who you're buying from and what customizations you're getting. Some also offer payment plans."

Stefan thought about it for a moment. Trying to get a nullification bracelet could have its benefits, but he wasn't sure he wanted to go that far with it.

"I don't know. I mean I see fine, even at night. It keeps me more aware of my surroundings. Feel like I might get complacent if I had something else doing the work for me."

He gave an amused smile as he cocked his head to the side almost posing. His playful attitude coming out.

"Plus....I look good with them."

Konpeitō leaned back laughing. "I can't argue with that! I don't know how much you know about the island and its available technology and magic, so I figured I would throw that suggestion out there."

"Ah, I realized... It looked like you were heading out someplace when you came to help me out? And you said you try to not be around here long. Am I holding you up?"

Stefan shook his head a little as he finished the last of the lemonade.

"Nah. I just hate being alone in my apartment. So I go out for strolls. Explore the city some. How I've been meeting people."

His mind wondered to Zora and how they had met before quickly snapping back to reality and focusing back on Kon who had graciously invited him in.

Konpeitō found himself to be surprisingly good at noticing body language. Or maybe that wasn't surprising. He was made to be good at serving others and learning quickly. Being fluent in body language was necessary for that. Anyway, he noticed the look in Stefan's eyes that was similar to the one he gave earlier.

Another playful smile spread across Konpeitō's face. "Are you thinking of something special? You keep getting a look whenever you mention how you've met people."

Stefan's smile changed to one of a kid caught with his hand in a cookie jar. So he had been obvious in his daydreaming.

"Not something. Someone. That obvious huh?"

He chuckled a little bit. Stefan didn't mind getting caught or talking about it. He really had nothing to hide. He was easy going enough to talk just about anything, even with total strangers. He just didn't think he had made it that obvious.
