Down in the Manta Carlos Museum, there is a secret hidden within its basement. This basement is a restricted area; no guests are allowed to go near it.

This is an opportunity to join in on an investigation thread that'll be staff-involved. Loth will be GMing as the basement as me and four other candidates decide to snoop about. You have until tomorrow night to sign up for this endeavor. By Tuesday, I'll post up the introduction post and that'll be it.
How can I join? Post in this thread mentioning your interest and who you'll use for this.
How many people will be there? I am only allowing four people at maximum. This is because with me, four others, and Loth as GM, this will end up being a six person thread. Going past five intruders ruins suspension of disbelief and would make the endeavor messy. I also ask to please not involve any other characters besides the one you pick for this. Companions like a pet, summon, or anything that would qualify as a supporting character are fine (Within reason of course. Don't bring your baby to the basement).
How will I know IC? Alice wrote the equivalent of a tweet/status post with a picture of the basement entrance and #whatsinthebasement. The text included with this post being "Heard shrieks and grunts coming from here...". You either saw this post and went "Oh shit what lemme see down there", or, as a less tech-savvy person, you were already at the museum when you noticed something.
When will we do this (IC wise)? The investigation will take place during opening hours. Everyone will be sneaking down there while the museum staff is distracted with work.
