The lady that had brought Kaitlyn and her pet dragon Chrssy to the orphanage wasn't Kaitlyn's most favorite person. She wasn't even in the mood for her clingy dragon right now, no the girl was incredibly done with orphanages and the horrible people who ran them. Whatever made her think that she would actually find a home on the island for people like her was long gone from her head. The lady looked at Chrssy as ifs she wanted to take the male dragon to the pound, even though Kaitlyn had appeared with him.

She was used to it thought, the busy ladies, paperwork and then being feed to the wolves. Apparently the orphanage was ran by a guy who actually cared about thrown away kids. Kaitlyn was going to save her judgement until a later date, she didn't hold hopes for this place but she was willing to try. She currently had a bright blue pen, doodling small little airplanes that flew around her head and tried to shoot each other out the sky. There was no need to listen to the adults talking, she only understood basis English and trying to follow their conversation would give her a headache.

Then the biggest man she had ever seen came out of the office and she stared wide eyed. "B-b-bonjour?" She said petting her cowering baby dragon.

Aurum sat in his office at his desk. built for his size as well as the chair was reinforced to carry his massive body. He was over speaker phone with someone.

"Look Mister Hyperion. You cannot just do as you want. These are kids."

"I do what I must for those in need."

"Aurum. You made a building. A hotel. Why not just sell out and let us use it?"

"Because it is for those who have no where else to turn. Those who need someone to rely on."

"And you are going to house them all?"

"That is my plan. Where I am from.. I have all the time I require."

He hung up on the man. Rubbing his eye. He had been open for a few days and a few people come in seeking refuge. Kids who came to the island who had no parents were admitted into the Hyperion House with no issue. The large almost mansion like building with enough workers there to keep the place spotless. Aurum had money from his work. That was much granted. As well as some help from a few of his friends. he stood up as a girl came in.

"We have a new guest Master.." The girl in a suit had told Aurum.

"Thank you. Please. Take some time to get something to eat. You have done enough for me for now."

"As you wish."

The girl left the office as Aurum adjusted his suit. He didn't like the tailored suit for him. It made him feel different than he used to be as he walked out the office. Seeing a little girl with paper airplanes that looked like they came off the paper. With a small Dragon. Cowering in fear as he knelt down.

"Bounjor... Mon nom est Aurum" He said in a soft voice. Trying to cheer up the dragon as well the girl. "How are you..?" he said in english after. slowly reaching a hand out. Aurum showed no fear. But a smile. Something soothing for them both. "I understand you are afraid.. You are safe here."

Kaitlyn shook the hand hesitantly not sure if that's what she was supposed to do, or if he was expecting her to turn over her pens. She always carried them around because she felt defenseless without them. "I'm Kaitlyn, and this is Chrssy...the doctor person said he was my familiar. But Chrssy is a girl" She said figuring that if she told him the truth about the dragon she wouldn't have to fice the dragon up.

Not be scared? orphanages were cruel places, she had learned that first hand and she wasnt even sure the kids would like her. Kids could be just a cruel as adults...and sometimes even worse. "Are you sure? i've heard that before...when my mom and dad dropped me off at the one france" She said bluntly. She didn't feel like she should be shy about her safety...she wanted to trust that this place was different but she honestly didn't know if that was true.
