"How does one practice being a couple?"

Frankie constantly reminded herself to be objective, but it didn't seem to be working. It didn't help that he was completely clueless. "I guess there isn't really any way to practice, but I was thinking more along the lines of being comfortable with it." she said quietly, looking up at him.

"How about Elle? I think it's fitting, seeing it has no hit of your name really. Plus I think it if your supposed to be my belle then it should have endearment to it."

Frankie nodded. "That sounds nice." she agreed, telling herself that there was nothing there. He was so clueless she didn't even know if he noticed a difference between their genders.

Frankie let out a sigh, getting her courage up again. "Armand, have you ever kissed anyone?" she asked, almost tiredly, resigning herself to having to act like his girlfriend. And if, at some point, she had to turn them invisible, she needed some time to activate it. Which would probably mean a kiss. A long one. That looked real.

And if he didn't know how. She was going to have to teach him.

"I guess there isn't really any way to practice, but I was thinking more along the lines of being comfortable with it."

"Oh, well I guess it'd be hard at first seeing I've never had a girl. The guys always talked about it, so I guess I would be able to fall into the part. I've had to act things before, but..." A light tinge covered his cheeks, "Never this imtimate though." He said the words a bit embarassed.

"That sounds nice."

He smiled, he personally liked the name he thought of. He thought it fit her, he personally wished it was authentic. He wished he could really live the act they they were going to be doing. He felt she was a amazing person, he just wished she didn't push people away. It had been his first time feeling this way about a girl.

"Armand, have you ever kissed anyone?"

"No, unless dogs count. But it was only on the muzzle, the dog had saved my life. She was Susie, such a great army dog. She knew how to lead people through a mine field. She really was the ultimate army dog, she retired a few years ago though. The army thought she should get some time as a pet." He said with a smile remembering the animal with fondness.

Frankie nodded. "I understand that." she agreed, trying desperately to pretend that he wasn't blushing, and that everything was normal.

"No, unless dogs count. But it was only on the muzzle, the dog had saved my life. She was Susie, such a great army dog. She knew how to lead people through a mine field. She really was the ultimate army dog, she retired a few years ago though. The army thought she should get some time as a pet."

Frankie sighed. He was making this very difficult for her. She stopped walking and moved so that she was in front of him. "You're smart Armand. But you're really clueless." she said, cocking her head and looking up at him. "Whenever we're outside, we're acting like a couple. That means you're going to have to.." she paused and broke eye contact. "Kiss me." she rubbed the back of her neck nervously.

Then she looked back up at him. "And if for some reason, we're being chased and need a quick, non-violent escape, I can turn us both invisible, it just takes a little bit of time when I'm stressed. Which means we'd have to buy time, and, well," she looked away, still rubbing the back of her neck, "Nobody disturbs a kissing couple. But it would have to be convincing."

She sighed and looked up at him again. "Do you follow what I'm saying now, or shall I try to be even more clear?" she asked, her sharpness covering up the feeling that was growing in the pit of her stomach.

"I understand that. You're smart Armand. But you're really clueless. Whenever we're outside, we're acting like a couple. That means you're going to have to.. Kiss me."

He looked at her, his eyes glowed differently. His stomach felt as though he had butterflies flying inside it. His eyes were looking at her's, he thought about how beautiful she was. He wanted to place his hand against her smooth cheek. He pushed these feelings back inside his eyes going back to normal.

"And if for some reason, we're being chased and need a quick, non-violent escape, I can turn us both invisible, it just takes a little bit of time when I'm stressed. Which means we'd have to buy time, and, well, Nobody disturbs a kissing couple. But it would have to be convincing."

He listened, and then realized she wanted them to look like they were a real offical in love couple. Which meant kissing as if it was real, he understood this would mean they'd have to see if they looked offical. He knew he'd have not problem wanting to kiss her, but he wasn't sure if he could kiss her without feeling any type of feelings towards her.

"Do you follow what I'm saying now, or shall I try to be even more clear?"

"You mean you want to see if we'd be convincing?" He looked at her, "I guess you mean I shouldn't ask this and I should know." He said with an unsure look. He moved closer, stopping when he was just an half of a foot away. He looked in her eyes, making sure he was doing the right thing. He placed one arm around her waist slowly, his other hand crept to her cheek running against the softness of it. Stopping outlining her jawline, he admired it for a second his eyes moving back to her's. His lips inched closer to her's stopping before they touched to make sure she was okay with his kissing her.

His breath was on her lips, his arm brought her closer to him as their lips met. His kiss was slow and loving, his hand stayed on her cheek as the kiss grew with passion. He kissed her longer his lips lingering on her's, his heart had been in his throat from kissing her. He kissed her a second time because of the insane rush from kissing her. He wanted to kiss her more but knowing that the kiss had already lasted long enough he pulled away. He decided to try to make the situation not too odd. "So do you think they'd think we were a couple?"

She wasn't exactly prepared for him to catch on, so when he did, she was slightly surprised. She forced herself to remain still when his arm came around her waist, and managed to keep from breathing any differently. He stopped for a moment, and she nodded slightly, giving him permission.

When his lips met hers, her breath hitched, and she got lost in the kiss, kissing him back. Somewhere in the time, one of her hands came to rest on his chest, and the other found it's way to the back of his neck, buried in his hair.

When he pulled back, she found she'd relaxed into him, and she exhaled slowly and quietly, breathing slightly heavier than she had before the kiss.

"So do you think they'd think we were a couple?"

She moved her hand from the back of his neck, still looking up at him, trying to form a coherent sentence. All she managed was a breathless, "Uh huh." as she forced herself to pull away from his gentle hold. She leaned against a nearby wall, mostly because her legs were threatening to give out. She took a few deep breaths.

"I think we're ready to grace the mall with our presence. We're both going to have to be a lot more enthusiastic and happy to be in eachother's company.." she said softly, all of the strong emotionless girl gone, leaving behind a very soft looking feminine one. She knew she'd have to try to be happier, mostly because she didn't want to get hurt again.

"Uh huh."

He smiled, he liked the way she seemed breathless. He liked how she had fallen into the kiss, his first kiss had been with the first girl that ever appealed to him. The fact was after Frankie no other girl would be able to compare. No other girl would make his heart flutter or butterflies from being nervous flutter in his stomach.

"I think we're ready to grace the mall with our presence. We're both going to have to be a lot more enthusiastic and happy to be in eachother's company.."

He nodded, he wanted to almost say that they should try it again just to be safe. But he knew it wouldn't be because they needed to, he felt a little disappointed that he probably wouldn't have to kiss her for a while. He had loved kissing her though, he had never felt such a amazing feeling. It was like when he held a new weapon in his hand and felt it's sleek beauty and it's spirited shot. Except this wasn't a weapon, it was a girl.

Some people might call him crazy, but that was the only thing that he could compare that first kiss with. Though for some reason the feel of a new gun was covered by this odd new feeling. He loved weapons but at the moment something else was more important. He slipped his hand in her's, he knew most couples held hands for pretty much all the time. He knew they weren't in public yet, but he couldn't resist.

She almost pulled her hand out of his, startled by his touch, but at just that moment, somebody rounded the corner. This caused her to do the opposite of pulling away. Instead, she intertwined her fingers with his, and pulled him down the hall. "Come on! We can't be late!" she said cheerfully, almost bouncing down the hallway.

TIMESKIP!

They'd had a rather uneventful drive in, with Frankie being silent as she tried to get her thoughts under control.

Now they were outside of the mall. The emotionless mask slipped from her face as she smiled, getting a soft look on her face. She took his hand in hers, interlocking her fingers with his again, and moved closer to him that there was hardly any space between them. "Let's go." she said with a grin, letting go of his hand for him to open the door for her like a good little boyfriend. Once he did, and they were side by side again, she put an arm around him in a kind of side embrace as they walked, cuddling close to him with her head on his shoulder.

"Let's find a clothes store." she said softly, allowing herself to be completely outwardly affectionate, though inwardly she kept a single wall up. The one that kept her from getting too emotionally attached. Though if he kissed her again, she didn't know how long that was going to last. She'd dropped the Brooklyn accent, falling back to the one she'd had from birth, an Italian accent, making her words all the more soft and romantic in feeling.

"Come on! We can't be late!"

He went along, with her. But a part of him was saddened, and disappointed that this seemed like a act even though inside for him it wasn't. He went along acting as though it wasn't bothering him that she seemed fine with faking it.

"Let's go."

He got out of the car and immediately opened the door for her, he waited for her and then shut the door behind her after she was done. He then lead her to the store, her head against his shoulder made him feel so odd inside his heart. He loved being with herm and yet he didn't know what she felt so he had to hide it. But he had to act the part too, everything was so confusing to him. One minute it seemed she was into him and the next it seemed as though she didn't want a part of him.

"Let's find a clothes store."

He nuzzled his head against her's trying to keep up the appearance she wanted. Though inwardly wanting to do it anyway, he almost doubted Franky would this emotionally open if she did have a boyfriend. He did think this was a bit much, hand holding was nice. But this made him feel so nervous and odd, he cared for her but this didn't seem like the same Frankie he knew.

Suddenly all her energy left her. She felt sad, like she was in an unknown territory. All she wanted to do was cuddle with him. Have him take care of her. No. Bad thoughts. She pulled herself out of his hold, slipping her hand into his again. "Let's go over here!" she pulled him into a department store.

The clothes section was right beside a cologne counter. She couldnt' resist stopping to pick up her favourite one. She smelled it, and let out a sigh, closing her eyes to relish in the scent. She gestured Armand closer. "Smell this." she said softly, offering it to him.

The salesman pulled up, grinning like a cat. "That is a very good choice of cologne." he said with a grin, and the sudden realization that the salesman was planning on selling this cologne to Armand made Frankie panic inwardly, but instead, she smiled sweetly.

"It's my favourite smell." she said, looking up at Armand. Her gaze softened, and it wasn't an act. When she realized it, she looked away from him, leaning her head against his shoulder again.

"Let's go over here!"

He allowed himself to be tugged along, he didn't mind it though. He just liked being with her, the fact that he was protecting her never left his mind. It seemed like it wasn't there but it was, he never forgot his reason of being there was to protect and guard the same girl he was falling in love with.

"Smell this."

He smiled, and smelled the cologne. It was very nice smelling, he noticed it said cologne for Men. He was glad he noticed it before saying something stupid, he really knew nothing about what happened outside of the army. He wondered why she was showing it to him. Did she want him to buy it? He pondered for a minute.

"That is a very good choice of cologne."

Armand nodded, he still was pondering. He was new to this out of the army thing. He needed time to get used to it and be able to realize a cold blooded salesman when he saw one.

"It's my favourite smell."

When he heard that he smiled, "In that case I'll buy it." He didn't want her to have to suffer with his army cologne. Since she was going to have to put up with him the least he could do is buy this so he'd smell like something she liked. He looked at the price a little amazed at how much it cost but he had been in the army and the army paid pretty well to him. He was practically all set for years.
