The box was beautiful. This was the first thing he noticed. The two colors mixed together perfectly; even if the bow Jett had done wasn't. That didn't matter, it made it so that Jeong knew it was from him. "Thanks." He smiled eagerly as he grabbed the tiny box and enclosed it in both his hands. It was small; was it jewelry? Money? Jeje bit his lip as he focused his gaze on it.

The ribbon came off before anything, to which he laid it folded to the left of his food. "Y-You bought it?" It was rate to even hear those words from Jett, considering the many times that he had given him little treats that were not so new. The second that Jeong opened it and saw its contents, he gasped. "F-Fuck Jett." He voice cracked as he said those words, as he was almost on the verge of crying. He didn't want to, no, he couldn't. Jeje wasn't some baby.

He sniffed as he stared at it, but it took a few seconds before he actually took it out of the box. When it was the only thing in his hands, he smirked joyfully at it. "I love it." As he said that, his nose was almost touching it as he observed it thoroughly. He has never seen such a design before, nor did he ever think that Jett would get him something that suited him so well. The tiger stood and walked over to his gift giver, turning his back towards the side of him. "Could you put it on me?" He passed the gift over his shoulder.

"Yeah, couldn't steal something that fitting." Jett laughed a hint, though it hurt, that pain didn't register on his face, lucky for him. Jett had considered asking Jeong if he could put it on but had decided against it. He wasn't surprised when Jeje asked if Jett would put the necklace on for him. The Skinwalker was, perhaps, too adept at clicking the small pieces together to let the chain rest on Jeong's chest. It was a practiced motion; one honed through many experiences.

"Glad you like it." Jett knew enough about social whatever to know that telling someone how expensive a gift was, was rude. He had no intention of letting Jeong know for several reasons, one of which was because he'd never told Jeong just how much money he made a month or exactly how he made that money (other than thievery).

"So," Jett clapped his hands together and rubbed them, smile still in place, though it was strained. "What is this good news you have for me?" Patience had never been his virtue.

The chain was cold on the nape of his neck, but that didn't really bother him. "Thank you." He said as he hear it clasp. Maybe it would cool down the rest of his body, considering it was starting to heat up. No, he wasn't sick, he was hot because he knew after this, that Jeong was going to say some very meaningful words to the wounded man. In the back of his mind, he almost wanted to wait until he was feeling better; but he knew that Jett wouldn't let it rest until he knew. He turned, touched the necklace with his left hand smiled before he turned his gaze to Jett. This was it.

"Good news, um." How as he supposed to word this? Was he supposed to just jump out and say it to him? Perhaps maybe he was supposed to make it long and lengthy, but by that time Jett would be passed out. "I just wanted to say that I'm really happy that I met you." He glanced to his side quickly. "That, you've really changed my life. For better or worse; I'm not really sure." He took a half step closer. "I guess I just wanted to say that, I-I love you, Jett."

Jett was completely stone-faced as Jeong spoke. For the most part, it just seemed like one of those weird, sappy things someone said to another. That was, until the last sentence. Jett didn't say anything. Instead, he reached up and cupped his chin with his hand.

"Wow, uh. I bet you say that to all the boys." Jett wasn't hungry. Not only because his side still ached, but because this was all a little much for him. He wasn't all hearts and roses. He wasn't the, bring you chocolate kind of guy. He liked criminal activity. He liked screwing people over. He liked screwing in general.

"I don't understand why you're telling me this. What exactly -- What are you hoping for, Jeong?"

The first words that came out of his mouth were not the ones he wanted. What type of shit was that? Like Jeong would just casually go around and say those things to anyone. It was the exact opposite. This was the first time he had said those words since he was 7. He meant those words with every fiber of his body. But this? It was like Jett just spat in his face. He didn't move his somewhat comforting hand until the next few sentences came out. That was when he got furious. Jeong punched him in the throat, hard. If that was all he was going to say, he may as well not talk at all.

He did a violently thrust away from Jett, like he was some parasite. "Fuck you then. I'm sorry that my petty feelings aren't good enough for you." His heart ached, why had he even said anything? "I'm sorry that my words weren't gory and bloody enough for you, considering that's all you really care for!" He yelled, as there was no compassion left in him at that moment. "I'll make sure that next time I tell you how I feel, that I have my guts are hanging out, half dying. Maybe then you'll be interested." Jeong felt betrayed, like his entire earth had been shattered. Could someone that had just given him such a lovely gift, really be that cruel? "Maybe I was hoping that you'd say something a bit more fucking nicer to me. Or are you like this with everyone that tries to care about you?" Jeje covered his face. His eyes hurt, he needed to cry or something. It was eating him up that it seemed that Jett gave little to no shits about how he felt.

Jett fell backward from the punch, his chair flipping back with him. The landing was not soft, and he was sure his stitches were reopened. Fuck. Okay. Ouch. And then, Jeong was off talking again. Talking, talking, talking. Jeje talked so much. Ugh. Couldn't he shut up for a second?

"Woah, woah, calm the fuck down." Jett held his side as he slowly got to his feet. Why did Jeong have to be so fucking emotional? Jett wasn't used to all this shit. Ugh. "What did I do wrong? It was a simple fucking question, Jeong. Christ. What happened to no fighting?" Jett wouldn't run off. He didn't run when he could help it, but shit. Way to piss him off. Ruin a damn good moment.

"Did you want me to tell you I loved you back? That you make me all gooey inside? What the hell did you want from me, Jeong?"

When the finally looked back at Jett, he hadn't even noticed that he had fallen over. Was he that angry? Obviously he had blown up a little too much. That was fine, he needed a good punch. As he raised himself back up, Jeong looked at his wound. Shit. Fucking fuck fuck. He had gone out of control. "S-Sorry." He half apologized, though it still hurt him. "Well your question was shit. It hurt you know. I mean maybe you don't fall in love with people, but shit do you know how much that hurts to be so rudely rejected? Even if it's a fucking question?" He scoffed at Jett. "I just want the truth, so if you hate me then just fucking say it." That was probably the answer, it had to be.
