Aedan closed his eyes focusing his mind, anger was one emotion he never showed. What was he supposed to say? He'd never told anyone here the truth about his family, how the fire was started by mercenaries and then covered up by the military for security reasons.

"Addy now that I've been out there....I know that it's happening." He took a sip of his water, "I can't just sit here as if I'm I don't know it's happening. Ignore the problems of the world and they will never go away."

He sighed rubbing the back of his head, Abe popped up pressing a ice pack to a swollen area of his back, he flinched slightly at this, "yea, I'm a mess. Have been for a while. But if I can save one life...then maybe it was all worth it."

Addy didn't expect to be this furious about it. She figured she make a few jokes, tell him to be careful. She didn't think she'd actually care enough to be angry. Addy didn't get angry, she was above all this stuff.

"Fine then, if you get hurt that's on you. Caring about other people? Do you think they care about you? Do you think their grateful? Its just an in the moment thing, if one of those villians kill you you think they'll care? They can probably regenerate! You can't. This isn't a show, you can just rewrite yourself into existence"

She had never felt so angry with someone, how could he care so little about his life. Why was he this reckless? He didnt get a second chance.

"I'm not out there for that. I'm out there to save lives....I'm no hero. But if I can make I difference then I feel like I should." He looked at her, somewhat confused at her anger.

In truth Aedan cared little for himself, others came first in his mind. If he died saving a life so be it. Then it him...and his few friends came into his head. Chole, Nia, Ai, Addy of course....and Veronica. Lord what would happen to any of them if he died.

He sighed "damnit Addy......yea I see what you mean." He took a sip of his water, "I was alone for so long that...that I forgot I had people who would mourn me." He drank the rest of his water, "maybe I should take a break, not forever. But I do need to heal."

Addy wasn't sure she really believed that he was going to take a break. He was so adamant about being a freaking superhero, that 180 was way to fast or her taste. She wasn't sure she really believed that. "Become a freaking doctor, or social worker, change lives that way you idiot." She didn't scream this time, she was past screaming. If he was't going to see reason, she couldn't help him.

"Yes, the mysterious Veronica, Think of her,and go to the fucking hospital" She said crossing her arms again and returning to her spot. She wanted to finish her hijacked food in peace."

He leaned back against the wall, "I love cybernetics, but I'm thinking about being a cop, between my skills and enhanced senses I'd probably do well." He picked up the sword handle, detracting and retracting the blade, "maybe I could convince them to let me use this."

He gave her one of his smiles, "hospital is a no go. No way to explain the injury. To many questions." He moved to his chair and leaned back in it, "the bleeding has stopped...I'll be fine." He pulled out a a pack of cigarettes hidden in the chair and lit one.

"As for Veronica, I'll introduce you two if you want," he took a drag from the cigarette. "It's inevitable that you'll meet so might as well plan it, she wants to meet my friends anyways."

Addy scrunched up her nose "you wanna be a cop, Dude. That's the worse profession ever. Be a doctor, tie in cybernetics to it." She said sighing and rolling her eyes. Why did he have to make things so complicated.

"What makes you think I wanna meet her." Addy said, her fork paused halfway toward her mouth. Yes Aedan and her had been just friends for awhile, but Addy didn't like the feeling of not having something she wanted. Even if she was over him, some girl was getting...what she HAD wanted and didn't get. She didn't want to see why...she didn't want to meet the girl who was better for her.

"Well just say you got beat up, scrub"

"Police do good work, save liv livss for little pay, sounds like a worthy profession to me," he took a drag from his cigarette. "Though it would be a shame to get all this training in cybernetics and not put it to use."

Aedan shook his head, "I'm a bodyguard, if I the official word says I was beaten up, I'd lose all credibility. All the nuts would start trying things with Cecil." He took a drag of cigarette, he'd been trying to quit but it hadn't been easy.

"Also Addy...your my best friend. Us meeting whoever the other is dating is inevitable, your boyfriends will be at your birthday party." He put his cigarette bud out and tossed it out the window. "Better to plan it and make it pleasant, then have it be accidental and awkward," it would be awkward either way but planned was less awkward.

Addy had just about finished her food and was gonna leave soon. It wasn't like she really needed to say now. She had talked some sense into the idiot and was working on getting some rest herself. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm not gonna be friends with a cop. When my dad is Klaus Rosales" She said pointedly at Aedan.

"I..don't...care Aedan. We're friends, just friends, and its best that way. It didn't work out and I'm over it." Sure there was little emotion I'm her voice, but she was only half lying. She hopped down and threw her empty container in the trash. She was not gonna get the whole, best friends talk from him. Grabbing her DS, she walked towards the door.

"Anything else I need to know, or are we good?'

"Thank you Addy. I know I'm a stubborn ass....but thanks for being a good friend," he meant it, he still believed that others were worth more than himself, but he understood his death would hurt people.

"Do you think I should tell her?...Veronica that is," he was always uncertain when it came to people, machines he understood, but people were difficult.

"I'm a mess aren't I?" understatement of the year, he was a sixteen year old with emotional damage trying to fight crime, not exactly a good idea. Aedan smiled, "but you know......maybe with all of you...I may end up allright." He wasnt used to having be there for him, but he did like it.

Addy was pretty used to burying all her true feelings down so she did. To give her friend advice on a girl, she never wanted to be in the same room with. In fact she wanted nothing more than to ruin their relationship. She was selfish, she was... A horrible person. She knew this, everyone pretty much knew this and yet she decided to help him.

"Tell her the truth, stopping being a dumbass, and work out your issues." She said with a tired sigh, rubbing her eyes. She wasn't cut out for this, she couldn't fix him. Maybe that's why Veronica was better for him. She made him want to be a better person.

"Don't fix yourself because you want others to be happy... Fix yourself because you want to be happy. Having a support system is nice, but you have to want to get better for yourself." With that she left the room, she didn't want to think anymore. The one thing she hated about Aedan was that he made it so hard not to be herself. He made her feel like she had everything figure out. It wasnt as if she didn't want to help, she just knew she wouldn't be the kind of help he needed.
