How long is long? That depends how long it takes

A house for people like him?

Lochlann wondered what that meant. It's not like he knew too much about this kid, other than that he was fae, but knowing that was meaningless. It was like being blind and being told that the creature that walked into the room was a dog. But was it a dog bred for hunting, for fighting, for guarding? Was it large or was it small?

With fae the questions got even more diverse.

Lochlann was about to comment, to ask about a million and one questions but all of that changed when the other boy hit the wall and--

Lochlann knew exactly what that was.

It was the same kind of unraveling that clutched at him when it rained. Glamours were a bitch sometimes.

He kneeled down before the other boy and held out his hand*.

'Looks like I'm walking you home then instead," Lochlann remarked, and then, after another second he asked, "Are you okay?"

ooc: * I'm not too sure what the size difference is here! Lochlann is a little bit over 6'3". I'm leaving the movement kind of vague as to whether Lochlann helps him up for picks him up.

Cedric blushed heavily. "Th-this was not my intention by any stretch, I--"

He stopped when he realized how badly he was shaking.

He hated being so small. Raised the way he was, the toxicity of the masculinity he was brought up into choked out the acceptance of how vulnerable he really was. Real boys didn't cry, his father would say. Real boys didn't refuse to fight.

Real boys were invulnerable.

"I..."

His eyes watered as he stood and stared up at Lochlann. To most far of his stature, Lochlann would appear terrifying. Heck, if a human being saw a 12-story-tall giant they'd be more than a little distressed. It shouldn't have been the case with Cedric, but he'd held his glamour for two whole weeks. His headache had to be quelled with a quadrupled dose of aspirin. And still, it happened.

The boy's hand was outstretched before him, and this made him flush red even further. He flicked his wings, and a sharp pain hit the left stalk of them. He winced and sighed.

"I really had hoped that this wasn't going to be your first impression of me," he said, clambering onto Lochlann's palm. "It's gotten me a fair amount of jeers back in Salt Lake."

He looked down at his clothes, which sat in a pile. "Those will disappear," he said, half to Lochlann and half to himself. He glanced at the bandage that had been wrapped around his hand. "Almost all of them."

He turned and looked to the boy. "Are you sure you can handle walking on your own? The nurse said that you were gonna be dizzy."

[ooc: Not a problem. I'll note it in his bio. He's about 3.5 inches tall.]

"Hey, I mean your first impression of me is here," Lochlann waved back in the direction of the infirmary. "And it'd be pretty messed up to assume your intention was to offer to walk me home and then slipping-out."

The last word was the way Lochlann's brother had always referred to as losing the glamour. Slipping out, like of a costume mask or a too loose sweater. Lawrence's glamour was far more unstable than Lochlann's.

Lochlann had been about to pick up the clothes, too, but at the motion that they'd disappear Lochlann just pushed them into a pile on the side with his foot. He picked up the bandage and stuffed it into the back pocket; after a moment, his own paranoia set in.

"I won't keep them or whatever," he said, referring to the bandages. Lochlann had a bit of a paranoia about blood magic.

Lochlann picked up the other boy very, very slowly, raising his hand like he was lifting a piece of china to avoid ruhsing up too fast and disorienting him.

"Yeah, I think so," Lochlann said. He rubbed the back of his head with his other hand. "Just incase, can you uh, actually fly on those?"
