"DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER WHERE THIS CONVERSATION STARTED?!" He screamed in frustration. "I can't promise I'll always be here! You're afraid to get close to people because they might not always be there! ISN'T THAT FUCKING CLEAR THEN?!" This was hard enough. She doesn't want to be around him, she drags all this back out, and then chastises him for being hurt?! "If you don't want to be around me, go ahead and leave! But don't keep kicking me! Everything hurts already damn it!"
She hated him. Hated how much it hurt when he yelled at her. And the tears that rolled so freely down her face, leaving streaks of evidence in their wake. She held her lunch bag so tightly her knuckles had whitened from the grip. She looked at her feet, quelling the urge to push him. Hurt him the way she hurt now.
She didn't bother to say anything more when she turned and made a stiff walk away from him, trying desperately to hold back any sob she might let out.
