How coincidental.

She just laughed. "I could always just kill her. Then there wouldn't be a hostage," she said. "Or throw her aside, or..." She stopped when she saw Catherine trembling. "Or you could kill her. You know, bye using your powers and intending to hit me? Wouldn't that be great fun, kiddo?"

Catherine shrieked, trying even harder now to get away. This wasn't fun!

She snorted. "And what will you do if I just burn her to a crisp and get rid of the ashes? No way for you to connect her veins, since they would be gone!" The woman laughed, snapping her fingers. A little flame appeared in her hand and she held it close to Catherine.

Catherine tried to back up, but only backed into the woman. This wasn't working!!

She just laughed, looking at Jira. "And besides, when did you care enough about someone to do that to them? Hmm?"

The woman did nothing when she was tapped on the shoulder. She kept her eyes on Jira and the girl, and only edged the flame closer. Even if it couldn't hurt her, since it was just an illusion, it was nice seeing how afraid she was. "And you're assisting someone who's afraid of a little fire?" she asked. "I'm disappointed in your choice."

When asked if she took him for the same power he had before, she laughed, smirking. "In fact, I do," she responded.

Catherine whimpered. Even so, he thoughts went to Soahc, just hoping that he would be alright.

She laughed. "Aw, but now that would take the fun out of it!" she said. With that, the impostor turned and ran up the stairs with Catherine. She would be leading Jira to where the real her was, and doubted that he would stay behind when she had his precious bloodling.

This had all been way too easy.

And, with that, the woman walked into a room. She disappeared, though when Catherine tired to scramble away, she was only picked up by someone else and placed in a chair. The chair locked her in and the seven-year-old sighed. This was really getting tiresome.

The woman stood by the chair, waiting for Jira now. "Don't worry, girl. I'll only dispose of you if... well if I want to," she said, laughing.
