Catherine took a deep breath and looked up at Jira. He was right; she had to get up, she wasn't going to die from this. Putting on a tough face, she nodded and stood up, pulling the crystal out of her. She leaned against the wall of a nearby building, still in pain, but she was hiding it surprisingly well now. She looked at the wound, blinking when it started getting smaller. Now that the crystal had been removed, it could heal. Being a vampire certainly had its advantages.
The blood stains probably wouldn't come out of her clothes, but that didn't matter right now. Looking around, distress came to her face when she didn't see Soahc. She looked around frantically, wishing she could do more. She didn't have heightened senses — yet, anyway — and therefore wouldn't be able to find him by scent.
"Jira, help me find him!!" she begged, looking to her idol.
