Harmonia arrived like a whirlwind a little after five-thirty in the evening and marched through the foyer of her new home in her red high heels and cloud of a subtle perfume that smelled like the exotic roses growing in Aphrodite's garden. The goddess was anxious to see if they had started fully renovating the inside of the house that she had bought a little over a month ago. She knew it would be slow going because the roof needed to be changed before they could even begin, but that did not stop her from walking through each room with swaths of fabric and wallpaper, paint samples, and hardwood samples.

Harmonia had big plans for her house and the crumbling paint, loose wallpaper, missing floorboards, and old furniture pushed to the centre of rooms along with dusty piles of rubbish indicated that the people she had hired had at least started.

"Great Zeus," Harmonia wrinkled her nose in disgust. "This place still smells so musty... I need to open a window," she muttered as she started turning on lights in the room that she was in so she could open an older sash window that had a stained glass design above it.

Several days ago, Sushi had seen a man open a window on the same house that Harmonia had entered. Sushi went invisible, crept inside then and started exploring the place while a few people were working, but ended up getting stuck inside after they shut the window and left. Fortunately, the window couldn't lock properly. Sushi managed to slide it open just as the man had done before. He was able to close it from the outside too. After that, he just headed home.

However, in the following days, Sushi had begun revisiting the house. He'd figured out how to use the sliding window and he had no idea you weren't allowed to just enter any house. It was just a fun place to explore.

Although, today when he heard noises, he was pretty startled. He hid behind an old chair as Harmonia entered, despite the fact that he was invisible. He didn't remember her the last time there was people in the house, so he waited and observed her to make sure it was safe. For the most part he managed to stay quiet, but as he took a step out from behind the chair to get a better look, a floor board creaked ever so slightly.

As soon as Harmonia got the window open, she straightened up quickly, the hairs on the back of her neck prickling, when she heard the sound of creaking floorboards.

Glancing around her suspiciously, the goddess put her hands on her hips and frowned disapprovingly. Obviously the entity or ghost or whatever it was that had made its appearance the day she first inspected the house, was back.

"I swear," she muttered to herself. "I am going to exorcise that ghost. That'll show him who he's dealing with," she said as she moved past the chair where Sushi was hidden, and then stopped as if she had forgotten something.

As Harmonia got close, Sushi made sure to stay completely still. Something about her movements reminded him of the big fish in the ocean that would try to eat him. He couldn't hear what she was saying that well, but it didn't matter. He wouldn't have been able to understand it anyway.

When she stopped moving, Sushi, stared at her nervously and then made a very sudden movement to get behind the chair. He remained invisible and quiet, but Harmonia would have been able to hear his rushed steps.

"What's that!?" Harmonia demanded as she spun around apprehensively and slowly scanned the entire room. She knew that she had definitely heard the distinctive sound of tiny footsteps somewhere closeby.

Seeing then, as the street lamps suddenly came on outside, a long shadow appear in the hallway, the goddess left the room, her heels clicking on the hardwood. to inspect the dimly lighted corridor.

Sushi froze, keeping totally still until Harmonia suddenly walked away? When that happened, he poked his head out from the chair in hopes of seeing where she'd gone. When he couldn't see her, he squeezed out from the chair and began to look around. He moved slowly, trying to keep from stepping on a creaky floorboard.

He started getting sloppier as more time went on without running into her. Eventually he just started walking around normally. Maybe she was gone?

Harmonia had, in fact, gone down the hall a ways to the kitchen. Her attention had been grabbed by the unusual sound of something metallic being dropped on the floor. Maybe it was just the wererat, that she had assured Alex, that she had seen, or maybe it was something else, or perhaps even just her imagination, who knew?

Walking around the dimly lit kitchen, Harmonia looked to see if she could find the source of the noise. After a bit, she came across a spoon. But it was not on the floor. It was on a counter near a window.

Frowning at this, Harmonia looked hesitantly at the utensil. She was not quite sure how it got there. Maybe one of the workers had left it there?

When Sushi came across the kitchen, he poked his head in and quickly brought it back out when he noticed Harmonia again. Seeing as how she seemed focused on something else, it appeared he was safe. He scampered back to the hallway, but in doing so he knocked into a small table and fell backwards. For a moment he became visible, watching as an old vase toppled off the table and smashed into the floor.

Immediately following the smash, a small flash of light would be seen from Sushi's helmet and he disappeared again. He wanted to run before she got there, but he had to fix the mess he made first. He started collecting the broken pieces of the vase in his hands, which would've just looked like they were floating. He tried to be quick, thinking it was going to be possible to fix it and get away before Harmonia would show up.

"Hades and Zeus up above!!" Harmonia squawked loudly as she spun around on her heel, her heart now pounding at the sudden sound of something breaking in another room.

¨What the hell...?" she blurted out as her skin prickled again as she caught a glimpse of a light flashing down the hall.

Now, the goddess was not normally afraid of the unknown or of ghosts. However, for some reason, maybe it was the fact she was alone in an old house that she suspected was haunted, she actually felt a shiver of unease.

Tiptoeing quietly and hesitantly over to the door that led to the hallway, Harmonia peeked around the corner and down the hall. There she saw pieces of something floating in the air! Gasping at this, Harmonia stepped back into the kitchen.

Sushi's helmet definitely picked up on a noise, though when he looked up, he didn't see anything. Assuming it was probably fine, he quickly got back to picking up the pieces. Unfortunately, when he picked up the next piece, he cut his hand.

He dropped all the pieces when it happened, and tried to cover his bleeding hand with his other. Though his hand still bled pretty bad. He gave up on putting the pieces back and just scurried back to the hiding spot behind the chair again. He held pressure on his hand, hoping to stop it soon, though he'd forgotten about the trail of blood he'd left all the way up to the chair.
