Deciding to take another look, Harmonia noticed that weren't any weird floating objects in the hall anymore. And so, thinking that perhaps, maybe, she was seeing things. She slipped tentatively back into the hall and cautiously began her way back down the corridor.

However, as she started, she noticed some dark stains on the hardwood. Stopping inches from the odd dark reddish-black drops, she looked down at them and then around her, feeling oddly unsettled. She was sure that those hadn't stains been there before.

Curious as to what it might be... even though all logic was screaming that it was blood... Harmonia bent down and lightly touched the dark stain. It was still wet, and as she brought her hand closer to her face, she saw that her fingertips were a bloody red colour...

"Oh my good gods..." Harmonia said, her voice now a whisper as she went visibly pale. The house was haunted! Possessed even!

Sushi had squeezed himself behind the chair as best as he could, hoping to wait it out until Harmonia left. With the cut on his hand, he'd probably have to wait a while before he could start wandering around again. Otherwise she'd just see the blood and find him. Except... there was already a trail of blood going right to him. It only took Sushi a moment to realize that she'd probably follow it and find him.

He scrambled out from behind the chair, getting more blood on it while he did so, then made his way back to the window he used to get in. He started running, only to find Harmonia in the way of his path. He stopped himself when he saw her, but he ended up slipping and smashing into the ground. His head broke a floorboard, but he was alright, for now at least. He became visible again when he hit the ground and was taking a minute to collect himself.

Deciding, against her better judgment, to follow the unexplained trail of blood. Harmonia stopped dead in her tracks.

"Oh no... oh no...." Harmonia gasped loudly, her voice carrying throughout the house when she noticed blood weirdly placed all over the old armchair. It looked like somebody had been murdered there recently.

Feeling herself starting to panic. Harmonia was used to ghosts ... but not ghosts who were so violent and obviously were trying to kill her.

Pulling out her phone, Harmonia texted the first person she considered could possibly deal with this - Alex Drakenhardt. Hadn't he already got rid of the sneaky rabid wererat who had tried to attack her the other day?

"Alex. Help! That ghost is trying to kill me!"

Alex was for all intents and purposes enjoying a nice quiet day. He'd spent a decent chunk of it with his daughter. Now that she was asleep, Alex was now considering what he should do next. Probably start preparing to prepare for dinner. Well he would have, when he got a text from Harmonia.

He inhaled and read the message. Ghosts were trying to kill her... or something. This was how they met. And it seemed like any time they got together some strange stroke of bad luck would strike. Or maybe it was just her, he just wound up swept into it. His luck had been pretty fantastic lately. He'd found twenty dollars on the street, and wound up winning a gift certificate for a cafe he frequented. He had to reply though it was pretty obvious that he was sort of interested in her. Decently interested even...

His reply read as follows, "😒"

The dragon stood up, informed his butler that he was taking a walk, and then did just that.

There was a flash as Sushi became invisible again as quickly as he could. That was a close call but it seemed like he was safe. He got up to his feet, leaning on the wall and leaving a partial bloody handprint.

The creaky floor combined with Harmonia made this a tricky situation. His hand wasn’t bleeding quite as badly anymore though, so that was certainly a plus. He made his way to the kitchen for now, hiding under the table while still invisible to the naked eye.

"An emoji!" Harmonia stared incredulously at the screen. "I could be murdered...or, or worse, and he sends me a bloody emoji?! How dare he..." she remarked, extremely offended by Alex's reply.

"What an insensitive brute, a callous cad, ... a- a heartless dragon," Harmonia fumed as she marched angrily through the house prepared to murder the ghost or Alex, whomever she came across first.

He sighed realizing she was probably all worked up now thanks to his reply. That said he was one hundred percent sure she was fine. He got to the house fairly quickly, opening the door and walking inside.

From there, it was a simple matter of following scents. The dragon king strolled calmly through the house until he found Harmonia and said, "You really need to start trying to ask me on proper dates."

Sushi stayed put under the table in the kitchen. There was no way he was going to try and escape right now, that lady sounded like she was getting angry and he really didn’t feel up for dying at that moment. Regardless of how frightened he might’ve been, he was still able to stay completely still and quiet. He’d just have to outlast her.

That was when he heard a door. She must’ve left. He started to make his move out of the kitchen, sneaking along the wall, leaving small bloody marks on the wall with his still not healed hand. Things were looking pretty alright until he got further along and noticed there was a new guy talking to her. She hadn’t left, someone else had come.

Sushi accidentally stepped back on to what had to be the loudest, creakiest floor board to ever creak, then quickly scurried back to his spot under the table. They seemed preoccupied, maybe they hadn’t even noticed...

"About time, Alex," Harmonia called out from a room when she finally heard his voice. "And I will ask you out when you stop sending me emojis," she countered as she started down the hall to greet him.

But before Haromia could add anything else a loud creaking noise echoed loudly throughout the house that made her freeze on the spot, spooked by the sound.

"Alex?! Please tell me that was you?" Harmonia stated in alarm as she suddenly started tiptoeing quickly down the long corridor, scared, to where Alex was.

Alex had a fairly sickening smug look on his face at Harmonia's counter to him. But this was soon gone when he heard the loud creaking. What an annoying sound. He could also smell fairly fresh blood in the air along with the scent of... someone. Harmonia appeared to be uninjured, just upset... as was often the case.

"No, that wasn't me. I think there's someone else here," he said calmly as he considered his options. "I don't think it's a ghost either. I'm just going to follow this other scent and see where it leads."

With that, Alex did just as he'd said and started moving through the house looking for the other occupant.
