The leaves rustled as a small wind blew through, and the gray sky seemed to look down on the forest. Here there were no beings around except a seven teen year old boy named Eben. He loved it here in the forest when no one is around, and if there was someone he would get small glimpses of that person's past, and that's his past, to see other's memory's, and he hated it, it hurt when he sees their past's. But here, there was no one, well as far as he knows.

He sat in the middle of a clearing, letting the cool air blow on his face with his eyes closed. I wish I could live here forever, out of the way of people, and just live in a peaceful house with no interruption's in life of my powers, he thought calmly. I could live and not care about my family who have died, I could live here hidden, for away from civilization, away from everything.

He was wearing his white clothes today, and his cape blew in the air around him, though the wind wasn't too strong, it was a bit gentle. It would seem to make anyone at home except for the gray sky. He seemed to stick out in the forest that was turning brown with fall and soon it would turn to winter then he would blend in, but no it was brown, but welcoming.

Feet crunched on the leaves as the female walked. Hands were in the pockets of her jacket, and her head was turned down so she was looking at the ground. Blue hair was hanging loosely, so it fell in front of her shoulders and hid the sixteen-year-old's face somewhat. She didn't make any move to tie it back or push it out of her face when she felt the breeze, and just kept walking.

November was new to this place. So far, she was trying to adjust, but it just wasn't like DCA. But what can I do? DCA was taken over, and I can't change it... She wished she could have changed that, though. Sighing and shaking her head, she looked up from the ground and around the area she was in. She wanted to try and become an expert of all the places at this school; or, at least, know where they were so she didn't get lost, and the only way to do that was to come out here. Either of those choices were fine with her.

Trees, trees, and more trees. The girl frowned somewhat; it didn't seem too interesting, really. Or maybe it was more interesting in the summer? She didn't know. But she would admit, it did kind of feel peaceful here. As she looked around and kept walking, she came across a clearing and noticed a male with black hair who was wearing white. She smiled somewhat; finally some actual people in this place! "Hello there," November said to him.

Soon he felt fear crept up on him as he heard footsteps, and he cursed under his breath his eyes opening to his dull gray eyes. He never lifted his head when a voice sent out a greeting, but his hand crept to his dagger that hid in his boot then when he had a firm grip on it, he then looked up at November. He looked at the girl who had blue hair, and soon a little hint of confusion came to his eyes though it was very hard to tell anything in them.

His body tensed and he looked away. Go away, he thought, leave me in peace, stop giving me your memory's. He sighed now looking a head of himself into the forest. "Hello." He said in a boring tone. Well now there is someone here that will possibly stay awhile, when I'm here twitching from her memory's, but to me right now it's foggy and I can't make out the figures that are going through my head, he thought, while lifting his head to look up at the girl.

"And who are you?" Eben asked as his hand slightly loosened his grip on the dagger that was hiding in his boots he wore. He didn't feel vary much in the mood but he hasn't talked to anyone in a long time, because he kept avoiding everyone that ever came close to him, only because he hates seeing others past's.

November was silent, waiting for him to respond. She looked around for a moment before looking back at the male, and the first thing she noticed was his eyes. From the bored look they held, she assumed that that was how he felt out here; bored. She didn't know that he actually wanted to live out here, after all, she wasn't a mind reader. She didn't notice the confusion in his eyes, though, since there had only been a little bit.

An eyebrow raised somewhat when she noticed his body tense and him look away. She didn't say anything about it, though, and finally smiled when he actually said hello in return. Her eyebrow lowered; hopefully it wouldn't be too hard to get along with this guy. He was the first person she had met here, after all; she at least wanted one friend.

"Me?" She knew he was talking about her; there was no one else around. "I'm November, November Tristessa. Nov or Nova for short," the young woman explained. "And who are you?"

"My name is Eben Bane, and it is nice to meet you November." He said politely returning his name, though his voice didn't sound very nice, it just stayed in it's usual tone. I should just start talking, since I don't think she's gonna leave, but I guess it doesn't matter, I need to know more people here and stop hiding,he thought as he let go of his dagger. "You have a nice name, I like your last one though, I never met anyone with a name like that." Eben said a slight smile went across his face.

But then again, I sort of like hiding away from everyone, but I remember... no, I will not think about it, he thought as vision from the people who had killed his parent's flashed through his head and it made his hand clench in a fist, in till he took a deep breath.

"Is there a reason your out here November?" He asked moving his hair out of his face and he looked up at the girl. Blue looking eyes, blue hair, not very unusual, many people have colored hair and sometimes blue hair.

"My name is Eben Bane, and it is nice to meet you November."

The young woman smiled somewhat. "It's nice to meet you too, Eben," she said. Well, even if his tone didn't sound too nice, he had at least given her his name. Her smile widened somewhat when he said that he liked her last name. "Thanks," she said. She noticed the slight smile that came to his face, and she supposed that he was being sincere, which was a good thing. She noticed his fist clench as well, and heard him take a deep breath.

"You alright?" she asked kind of quietly, not sure if he was alright or not. It probably wasn't a great idea to ask, but oh well, she'd asked anyway.

"Is there a reason your out here November?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "Not really," she said. "I'm new here, so I just decided I'd get to know the school grounds." She decided to leave out the part about coming from Dark Crystal Academy, since he didn't need to know about that. "How long have you been at this school, Eben?"

"I'm fine, it was just..." And he stopped there not going to talk about the death of his parents or he might end up going crazy if he always sees their death. What would change if I talked about my parent's death, all they did is die by some maniacs, but when I talk or even think about it image's appear... like now, he thought seeing in his head the last time he's parents saw life but then it went blank with death.

"Many new student's seem to be coming, I'm also sort of new here, I've been here for a least two weeks, though I think this place is a little boring though, the only place I think entertains me most is the library, I love books, when I read books I feel at peace, well besides out here, out here I also feel at peace." He said starting to feel comfortable about talking to November now. Great, now I'm starting to talk as much as my cousin Trephas, he's so annoying, Eben thought, smiling a bit more.

"Do you like to read?" He asked feeling a little happy, but it didn't show in his eyes.

"I'm fine, it was just..."

I suppose I shouldn't have asked... November thought to herself, seeing as how he didn't finish his statement. She was silent though, and nodded somewhat to show him that he didn't have to go on if he didn't want to. She noticed how he went on to talk about the new people coming here and decided to drop the previous conversation altogether.

"Many new student's seem to be coming, I'm also sort of new here, I've been here for a least two weeks, though I think this place is a little boring though, the only place I think entertains me most is the library, I love books, when I read books I feel at peace, well besides out here, out here I also feel at peace."

Again, the young woman nodded, this time in understanding. "I've only been here for a few days," she said with somewhat of a smile. "And I agree, this place does seem a little boring." There definitely wasn't as much danger here as there had been at Dark Crystal Academy, that was for sure. Though, as of now, she wasn't sure if she missed that danger or was glad it was so peaceful here. "I haven't been to the library yet. I actually didn't know this school had one... though I suppose I should have, every school as a library."

"And yes, I like to read. I'm guessing you do too since you feel at peace in the library," she said.

"Even though it's boring here the scenery can be nice, possibly at the mountains, though the headmistress had that banned for student's, and I don't know I've never been in the mountains." Eben said, fiddling around with a leaf he picked up off the ground, and soon the leaf was in a bunch of little piece's and the wind blew it out of his hand.

I guess she isn't too bad, and she isn't boring to listen to like some other's, but everyone here worries to much when they even notice a slight little change in someone's appearance like clenching a fist like I just had, he thought.

"If the school didn't have a library I don't know what I would do except sit out here in the forest where only peace seems to be." He said. "The library does make me feel at peace. Like the history books, I read those every time I'm there, there so neat." He said.

"Even though it's boring here the scenery can be nice, possibly at the mountains, though the headmistress had that banned for student's, and I don't know I've never been in the mountains."

November raised an eyebrow somewhat. "Well, that's odd," she said. From what she remembered, nothing at DCA had been banned from the students. Sure, a lot of the places were dangerous, but nothing that was banned... this school was really a lot different. "I'm gonna have to go up there one of these days and find out why it's off limits."

She watched him as he played around with the leaf, but didn't say anything of it. If it had been her, she would have burned it... she liked using her powers. "Sorry to change the subject, but I'm curious. What are your powers? You don't have to answer if you don't want to," she said.

She shrugged when he said that the only peace seemed to be here. "I wouldn't exactly say that the only peace is out here. It seems to be everywhere... this place definitely isn't all that dangerous," she said. She nodded in agreement when he mentioned the history books. "Yeah, I agree. History is really interesting... though it can be really boring sometimes."
