"Then I guess it's similar in meaning then. We Lumians think of Illumi as being the ultimate enlightened language of Lum. There's a reason schools and places of great talent and knowledge are considered sacred places on Lum," Erione beamed. It was why he had such respect for the Academy here. Even if it technically wasn't a holy place on Earth the Academy served to enlighten those on the island.
"Of course, I love it here. There are so many lovely people and things to learn about. It bums me out that so many people here are hurt or in pain because of their differences but... well maybe that's why they need good people to be here for them," Erione answered thoughtfully as he began mindlessly stretching a long piece of pink glass around one of his arms. Like a neverending corkscrew of a bracelet.
"Lum is pretty different than Earth. For one, we don't hide from the humans at all. In fact, it's like a popularity competition for us to convince the humans we are worth their time to worship," he added as he thought back to the real reason he had found himself here the first time. Looking to find others to worship so he could ease some of the competitive pressure on himself. It was a lot of work, even if his personality and style made people tend to like him in general.
