For the longest time, Maylynn felt as if he was going to faint. His heart was going 100 mph, or at least that's what it seemed like. The redness that engulfed his face felt as if he was coming off of his face and lifting off. To take his mind out of this fantasy, he only vaguely gazed out the window until he heard him talk.

They weren't exactly the words that he wanted to hear, so he only shifted uncomfortably in his seat, knowing that there was something missing here. Shouldn't Yesterday be blushing? Was this normal for him
to get kisses from just anyone that got close enough to him? It hurt Maylynn, though the compliment made it sting just a bit less. "T-Thank you." He said as he tried to move closer. Maylynn wanted him to want him too, but it seemed as if he was more focused on the view outside and the machine they were on. "What am I to you?"

Maylynn was switching between a couple of emotions; probably embarrassed, uncomfortable, awkward... Humans had a lot of emotions that Yesterday was only beginning to comprehend, and they changed so often that he wasn't sure if he'd ever be able to figure out an algorithm for them. He hoped he would, or else this whole fiasco just got more difficult.

Now, for his question... Yesterday cocked his head to the side; he could sense from his tone that he probably wasn't asking literally, but that was all the robot could really dredge up. He wasn't sure what he was truly asking because he was never presented with this before.

"A human!" He exclaimed, knowing that he... well, he wasn't wrong, per se, but it probably wasn't what Maylynn wanted to hear.

... A human.... That was the answer he got? If Maylynn was the type that got angry and violent, he would have flipped out. Instead, he only got deeper in his emotions, as if he was gong to drown in them. He looked at the ground, like the lost puppy dog that he was. Everything hurt, and there was nothing that was going to stop the pain he felt in his heart. "Oh." Was all he could say. Out of the blue, he felt dizzy, motion sickness; everything was making him sick and weak. "I meant like, am I just more than someone you hang out with?"

See, Yesterday really had no firm, contextual grasp of feelings and emotions and all that squishy stuff that came with being a human. Sure it was easy enough to imitate, but not on a deeper level. That required a lot more than he knew how to right now, and Maylynn was throwing it all for a loop.

So when he looked hurt at his answer, Yesterday knew he'd said the wrong thing. Time to try again.

"Yeah." He grinned, or at least tried to. It looked very uncanny valley, much like a mannequin that had been painted to look real. He still hadn't gotten all of the subtle things down. "You're my housemate."

Right?

...Right?

He was his housemate... No, yet again, Yesterday had given him the wrong answer. He didn't want to hear that he was just a friend or someone that he lived with; he wanted to hear that he mattered. That out of everyone that the white haired boy had met, he was special. "No." Was all that he said. Though thankfully, it was as if the Ferris Wheel had hear his cry for help. In a matter of seconds, it stopped as it was their turn to get off. Not even waiting for Yesterday, he got up, red faced with embarrassment and stormed off the ride. The heartbroken boy didn't even know where he was going, but he didn't want to be around the person he cared so deeply about. If Yesterday thought that they were just friends and roommates, then sure, they would just be that. It would only take him a few months to get over the fact that he was madly in love with him.

The Ferris Wheel stopped and he was just about to get up, take Maylynn's hand and help him off the contraption when the boy decided to storm off by himself. He looked visibly upset but Yesterday wasn't sure why. Well, he technically knew why; he gave the wrong answers to his questions. Yet he didn't understand why his answers were wrong. It was too complicated.

So Yesterday sat there for a few seconds, staring at Maylynn retreating into the crowd before getting up and stepping off the ride himself.

Perhaps it'd be better to leave him to his own devices for a while.

Humans were so strange.

"Thank you." He muttered to the usher, then he turned to the Ferris Wheel and gave it a bit of a pat. "Thank you, too."

Because machines needed thanking, right?

Maylynn just wanted to hide away. He wanted to use his powers and escape the pier, to leave Yesterday behind and never see his face again. There was so much pain as he walked red eyed and sobbing loudly. He was in so much pain and he didn't understand why. More so, he didn't want to understand why. The white haired boy didn't want to think about how much pain he had been through just for this one boy; the boy he loved. Wait... Did he actually love him? Would he be able to say that to his face without freaking out?

It took about 10 minutes for him to clear his head and stop his crying. Though, the second he felt back to normal, he felt a pull to find his love, to tell him and make sure he was okay. Though his search was not an easy one. The man looked and looked for the one he wanted so badly, but it seemed that he was hard to find. It took another 10 minutes until his eyes rested on the beauty of a man. He ran. He ran as fast as his legs would go, as fast as he was physically possible. "Yesterday!" He shouted at him, coming up front behind and hugging him tightly. He gave him kisses on his neck, before nuzzling his face into his back. "I'm sorry for leaving you."

Yesterday wasn't lost, but he wandered. Not aimless either, though it looked like such. He knew Maylynn was upset with him so he didn't go in search for him; instead, he familiarized himself with the area and started mapping things out. By the time he was done, he had things pinpointed to the exact inch and could easily work it out from memory.

Now, should he go back to Maylynn's apartment, or was he not welcome there anymore? He didn't have any personal articles to speak of, and it wasn't like he'd have problems just wandering forever.

He hadn't expected him to reappear, much less go for him and hug him. It was a rather odd sensation of being hugged from behind; it activated a warning from his defense systems, but ultimately Maylynn's voice won out and he tilted his head.

"Oh. It's okay." So he'd come back? For what. "Are you upset?"

"I'm so so so so so so sorry." There was a tight squeeze before he let go of the man and turned him towards his face. "I was just..." Maylynn shook his head, as if to clarify that he wasn't upset. Okay, maybe that was a lie. He was upset, but more so because they hadn't even figured out what they were. Were they just friends that had kissed, or were they what Maylynn wanted? Boyfriends. What a magical word. "I just, I thought that you were going to say something different." The white haired boy frowned to himself and grabbed onto Yesterday's hand loosely. "I just thought that I was more to you."

Maylynn was quite the curious human. He didn't quite know how to react to his various outbursts quite yet, especially because he seemed... Needy. Yes, maybe some psychology textbooks would help him. Either that, or he needed to start reading more romantic fiction or something. Actually, fiction in general.

Yesterday blinked curiously. "What's "more"?" He wanted to know that at least, because obviously he couldn't draw an answer by himself. What did Maylynn think? Because so far he'd been a frustrating enigma.
