Okay, Maylynn was very scared. It had been about a month since they had cuddled that fateful night in Maylynn's bed. Every moment after that he had enjoyed to the fullest. Though most of the events they had done together were minimal. This though, this was something Maylynn had saved up for. They were going to the amusement park. They were walking hand in hand together, their shoulders touching every few seconds. For once, Yesterday actually looked normal, as he had insisted that he should wear his own clothes. But now, a lot of men and women were staring at him. No doubt, he was beautiful. Like some handpicked fruit off of a prefect tree.

"Here we are." The shy boy said as he kept a close grip on the dolphin skinned hand. Yesterday was his and there was no way that he was going to be anyone else's. "Is there a ride you want to go on?" Other than a very big fear of exactly this, Maylynn was totally fine. He hated big crowds and they scared beyond belief, though while he was holding his hand, he was a lot more confident. This didn't mean that he liked it at all though, only tolerated it.

Amusement park. He knew what those were supposed to be. He'd seen a lot of them in photos and such, there was a bit of an amusement park during the previous festival. He knew of the concept of amusement parks - their names were quite self explanatory - but he'd never felt a particularly strong drive to be at one. That was, until Maylynn insisted they attend one.

Maylynn had insisted he wear different clothes and, when it came to light that he had no others, he'd been given some of the boy's to borrow. Okay, so now he looked like a plastic dolphin beacon in broad daylight. Sure. Great. People stared, definitely not because he was beautiful. More like he looked like a mannequin that someone took out of a storefront and gave moving limbs to.

"No, not in particular." There were a lot of people here. Some gave him sidelong glances as hey walked past. Huh, how interesting. He began to scan the nearby machinery, picking up electronic signals and putting it through various processes that'd more or less break the machine down in his head. "You can choose."

As they walked further in, it seemed that more and more people were looking at them. Maylynn started to feel his throat tense up. He felt ill and constricted and he hated every second of it. But when he looked over at Yesterday, all that fear shot away in a burst of love. When he looked at the fair man, everything else was gone. Because of this, he found himself just staring blankly at him. It wasn't until he talked that his gaze was broken as he had to focus on where to go.

With a bit of his lip, his eyes were trailing across all the visible parks and attractions. "What about the Ferris Wheel." The nervous boy pointed to the round object. "I wonder if you can see inland from the top of it?" The excitement of wanting to find out made him pull Yesterday onward. They only had to wait a few seconds before they were on it. He thanked he man nervously before he pulled Yesterday on and had them sit beside one another. This seemed like the type of ride where he would get his first kiss. Maylynn really hoped that.

Yesterday also knew what a ferris wheel was. He'd read the installation manual on one before, and he knew it wasn't mean to be a thrill ride. Instead, it was supposed to be relaxing and let you see the views. This one looked fairly tall, but perhaps not tall enough to see inland even though Maylynn mentioned it.

Either way, he got on with him and they started to move. It was slow and jerky and Yesterday more or less remained fixated on the various mechanisms, having deciphered them all by the time they got midway to the top.

"This is odd." He commented, staring off into the distance. "Humans usually don't like heights. And this goes very slow. Why do people do this?"

When they got into the air, Maylynn moved over just enough so that he had to rest their entwined hands on both their inner legs. With that, he gave out a well deserved sigh of happiness before he answered his crushes' question. "I mean I think there are many people that don't mind heights. Heights are okay for me, it gets me away from big masses of people." His answer was long, but he didn't think that Yesterday would mind, considering how slow the ride was going.

"I think people do this to get closer to people-" he squeezed his hand. "-or to show someone how much they care." With that, the blushing white haired man turned his head over to give the man a shy smile. "I-In the movies they usually kiss on Ferris wheels." Hopefully he got the hint.

So Ferris Wheels were a human custom? Huh... How odd. From an outside perspective, it was one of the weirdest things one could think of. First you got on a giant metal wheel that moved very slowly, but in one place so you didn't actually go anywhere. You were stuck in a metal cage as you went up higher and higher and this was supposed to be romantic for some reason.

"But what if you don't have a ferris wheel?" Not all humans had access to one, he imagined. His eyes remained fixated on the view as they got higher and higher. It was, indeed, quite fascinating. This was probably fairly close to what a civilian would feel like on, say, a plane. Or from space... He knew the last one well.

Had the boy really not gotten his hint? Rather, he seemed a lot more interested in the machine that they were one and not him. Was it wrong to be jealous of a Ferris Wheel? Most likely the answer was a definite yes. "That's why people go on Ferris Wheels, to get a kiss." He gulped down his spit as he started to light up at even the thought of them kissing. "And he are on a Ferris Wheel, together, so... Can we kiss?"

Maylynn's coy smile distracted him from how much he wanted to just jump off of the ride. Taking their hands apart, he put his hand on Yesterday's cheek, slowly moving it over so that they were finally looking at each other. "I-I want a kiss, on the lips please." There was an almost silent huff. "I've waited for so long, so please." And with that, he shut is eyes and slowly inched his lips closer to Yesterday's until they were effortlessly touching.

While Maylynn was rambling on about a kiss, Yesterday seemed oddly enamoured with the creaking and groaning of the old ferris wheel. There was just something about machines that he loved so much, perhaps it was a sort of feeling of kinship with them. Either way, he was watching every movement and listening to every sound, storing it all away in his memory for some time where he'd need it.

That was, until Maylynn started getting up in his face and he was forced to redirect his attention. He was very close to his face and he was forced to look over at him and face the human boy, even if it seemed to bend his neck at a rather uncomfortable angle.

Kissing was such an odd thing. It served some sort of bonding purpose that was still being researched, but the readings Yesterday did had little to do with it.

So he kissed him.

Their kiss was something else. In a matter of seconds, his entire body felt as if it was going to melt into the ride. He was high on this feeling; this longing that had kept him up a night and made every moment with Yesterday that much more important to him. Maylynn was kissing the boy that he had liked for the past 4 months, which allowed all of his built up emotions flooded out in their singular smooch.

The blushing man pulled away, keeping enough distance between them so he wouldn't want to go in for another. "I-I'm sorry, I've just wanted that for a long time. 4 months actually." His shy smile showed that he wasn't laying. He slid over to the left, leaving a few inches of space between them. Their was an awkwardness in the air, and Maylynn wanted nothing to do with it.

Maylynn was blushing so hard, he no longer looked pale. In fact, his cheeks turned rosy and red up to his nose and he pulled away; his body language screamed nothing but some very awkward embarrassment. Yesterday cocked his head to the side, staring for a few moments before doing his reasonable facsimile of a smile again.

"That's okay." Because it was. The kiss was... well, a kiss in the dictionary definition of the word. Their lips had touched and they'd maintained contact for a brief while. Maylynn might've felt an explosion of emotions but Yesterday felt... None. He wasn't programmed to. At least, not on a surface level.

He wouldn't realize it until he did a whole system scan, but his algorithms were beginning to modify themselves. Adapting.

He gazed out at the scenery again. "It's pretty out here. Like you."
