Flutterpip was so engrossed and enjoying learning how to knit. She completely ignored what was going on elsewhere. Studying Shiro's work, she found a bunch of mistakes Flutterpip had made. Unraveling her knitting, she started all over. She knitted some than compared her work to Shiro's. Her knitting was looking much better. The routine became: knit a little, compare to Shiro's work, then repeat.
Naisis just stood there watching her little one knitting away as nothing happened and in a stranger's house - well - room. She had worried about Flutterpip's trusting nature, but that might be her saving grace.
Just hours ago, she broke her little one's heart, and now it was her turn to have her heartbroken.
Barely loud enough to be heard, "Flutterpip?" With regret and apprehension in her voice, she wondered if her little one would forgive her?
Flutterpip stopped what she was doing ahs sat up straight with her ears focused behind her. With a flurry of needles, yarn, lickerish, and string cheese, she spun around and flew towards her mother, "Mommy!"
As she got close to Naisis, she could see apprehension and a little fear in her eyes. Concerned, she asked, "are you ok?"
There were so many emotions churning inside at the moment she was an emotional wreck. When Flutter asked if she was ok, that pushed her over the edge. The tears started to flow as she took her little one into her arms and held her to her breasts.
"I am now." A little choked up, "I thought I had lost you."
"You will never lose me. You will always be my mom."
Naisis closed her eyes and sighed as the tears flowed freely. Why she was blessed with Flutterpip, she would never know but was glad she was.
Freeing Flutterpip, she smiled while wiping her eyes, "Ok, get your stuff, and let's go home." She had enough emotions to last her a lifetime.
"Oh, mom, I would like to meet a friend." Flying over to Shiro, "This is Shy Row. She is nice. She let me play games and showed me how to knit." Flying down, she got her knitting and showed it to Naisis, bursting with pride.
"See! This is," she paused when she realized she did not know what it was. Looking over to Shiro, she asked, "what are we knitting?"
