"Oh I get it! I'm not the only....ehhhh...."special" Kid here!"
Maria laughed along with him, and shook her head. "Nope, you're not the only one. This entire school is for, as you put it, 'special kids', so this whole building is filled with sometimes weird occurrences. You'll get used to it after a while." She gave him a reassuring smile. Most children did get used to it, seeing as how they were around people that were like them selves, and yet different from most of society.
".... Glad to be aboard ma'am! I promise not to be a gigantic problem!"
The woman laughed again. "Good to know," she said to his promise not to be a problem. With that, she went to her desk and shuffled through some of her papers, going back over to him once she had found the paper that had his room number and everything on it. She handed it to him. "There you go. That should have everything you need to know, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask me or a teacher or anyone else."
