Here lake lake lake...

Water water water water water...

Tu knew it was here somewhere. He could practically smell it. Pattering along across the grass, he looked to his left and right before walking forward again with a small pout. He'd heard that somewhere on this campus was a lake, which would be a perfect place for him to swim and play. But in order to do that, he'd have to find it first and so far, his natural instincts had just led him in circles.

"That tree looks familiar..." he mumbled to himself, pausing in front of a big oak tree and glaring at it, as if it were the cause of his bad sense of direction. Which it was, in Tu's opinion, "You tell me where the lake is right now!" There was a moment of silence between boy and tree. Needless to say, the boy gave in first.

"I'll come back for you. And your little leaves too." With that, Tu turned on his heel and glared over his shoulder, walking forward in a small huff....

...and promptly walking straight into the lake only a few feet away, tripping over his now wet shoes and falling in with a splash. Tu sputtered as his baggy clothes became soaked, managing to get on his feet. With an indignant look and his head sticking out of the water, he gave a sigh.

"Well... at least I found the lake."

Raye gave a small laugh. The scene had been a little funny. She had seen the boy talking to an oak tree that wasn't too far from the lake, and then walk away and fall right into the water.

She shook her head, and quickly pulled her hair into a lose pony-tail. She swam over to the boy. "You alright?"

He turned around in the water, slowly due to his waterlogged clothes, and blinked curiously at the other person in the lake with him. He brightened slightly and gave a sheepish smile, waving his arms around enthusiastically as he talked.

"Ah! Don't worry about me, I'm alright, but I think that evil tree pushed me in. I knew I shouldn't have taken my eyes off it for even a second. I'll have to plot revenge later, it was a mean thing for a tree to do. But I managed to find the lake that I'd been looking for, so it's fine! I wish that I had the time to get out of my clothes though, they're all wet now," Tu mused, dropping his arms back in the water before giving Raye a bright smile, "I can just hang them out to dry though, right?"

Raye couldn't help but laugh as he waved is hands in the air. This kid was just a bundle of energy, wasn't he? "Yes, that really was mean of the tree to do. You might want to talk to the Headmistress about that if it happens again."

"And yeah, I think you can." She returned the smile. "I'm Raye, by the way. Who are you?"

"That's a good idea. If the tree misbehaves again, I'll tell her," Tu said with a confirming nod, casting the tree in question a warning glare, "Did you hear that? You better behave next time!" As expected, there wasn't much of a response. Tu figured that the silence meant the tree was taking him seriously, which was a good thing. He really didn't want to have to tell on it and get it in trouble.

"Oh, my name is Turais Meissa, but you can just call me Tu!" he chirped cheerfully, shifting his position and moving to float comfortable on his back. He folded his arms behind his head and gave another bright smile, "Do you like to swim too? I love to swim and Ziz and Aziza love it too. I bet they can't wait to swim around this lake, it's soooo big!" To make a point, he began splashing around in circles, dog-paddling.

"Nice to meet you too, Tu," Raye said with a smile. "And yeah, I like to swi— wait... who are Ziz and Aziza?" A confused look came over Raye's face, and she tilted her head to the side.

As the boy began splashing, she covered her head with her arms. It was a reflex, so she couldn't really help it. She lowered her arms after a moment, because she knew the water wouldn't really bother her or anything.

Tu continued to swim in slowly growing circles, his form of swimming changing from the very splashy dog-paddling to a more calm breaststroke. This way, he would be able to continue speaking to Raye and still be able to swim around, he reasoned.

"Ziz and Aziza are my friends. They don't come out all that often though, because they don't want me to wear myself out. But I think that's okay, I can just take a quick nap and eat lots and I'll be re-energized, right? Plus, I'm working hard everyday to increase the amount of energy I have so they can stay longer, but I can't find out how much longer they can stay when they won't come out. You see?"

It didn't occur to Tu that his babblings probably wouldn't make sense to random strangers. To him, all his words made perfect sense. If they made perfect sense to him, they should make perfect sense to everyone else. Right?

Raye was still confused, but not as much as before. At least she knew who Ziz and Aziza were... kind of.

She blinked. "Um... what do you mean? You said that they come out, but you wear yourself out when they do.... I'm still confused..." she blinked once again, hoping the next explanation would be a bit clearer.

Tu paused in his swimmings to look at Raye, head tilted as he gave her a surprised look, as if unable to believe that she didn't understand his words. Well... not everyone understood everything right away, he supposed. Some people needed better explanations because they just didn't get it the first time. His mother had told him once before to make sure to say things again if people didn't get it the first time because he tended to 'babble' a lot. Which Tu insisted that he didn't.

"Ziz and Aziza, they're special. They need my body's energy to exist and when I get tired, they have to go away. Mom said to call them 'summons', but I think that word's really cold. I like to call them my friends because that's what they are to me, y'see?" he said as he spread out his arms and legs, flailing a bit in the water for fun.

There, that explanation had been a lot clearer. At least, Tu thought it had been. In any case, if it hadn't been clear, Tu could just keep trying again.

"Oh...!" Raye said with a nod, finally understanding what Tu had said. "That's really, really cool! I agree that the word 'summons' is kind of cold... friends is a lot better of a word to use." She smiled slightly, and went under the water for a moment. The water was only a little warmer than the air, at least, she thought it was.

When she came back up, her head was the only thing visible above water. Raye smiled slightly.

"I'll race you to the other end of the lake and back... think you can beat me?"
