Private Finished He be a weird boi

Luna smirked at Nix's easy miss. As soon as his character went behind her own, she made her character swing her rapier around and slice him on the head. With that being an obvious weak point, Nix's heavyweight character's health dropped a lot. Jumping away once more, Luna made her character block Nix's incoming retaliation. She was down to 25% health, with Nix's character being about the same. She had to be super careful now, those heavy attacks in such a short time really did a number. Luna's going to have to be faster and dodge much more if she's going to make the third and final round. AFTER defeating Nix this time of course.

"I think your character is a little overpowered. But hey, I'm faster than you. Boop." and with that boop, Luna's character stabbed Nix's, pushing him further back and away. She nearly bumped Nix this time in the process. She actually almost didn't notice he had leaned sideways, presumably to avoid bumping her again. Nix had ended up closer to her, which made her slightly red in the face. Somehow, it made her laugh heartily.

Luna took some damage with that excessive rolling of his. Down to 20% now. Now...she had to time this perfectly. She had a plan but it seriously depended on luck. First chance she got before he rolled back in her direction, Luna made her character jump up. She held the down and attack button for a moment, and JUST as Nix's character went under hers, she let it loose and Nix's health finally went down to zero. Damn, she should've used that sooner. Hold-button attacks namely.

"I dare say...you lost that stock. Do you think you can get me with 20% left of my health? Maaaaaybe.~ Maybe not.~ Next round wins."

She couldn't resist. Luna rubbed Nix's head like she would a child and gave him a smug look.

"Try me bitch."

Luna blushed at Nix's hand's contact with hers as she stared into his eyes. She smiled, but that quickly dropped off her face as Nix practically flung himself off the couch and onto the floor. He had curled himself up into a ball and was covering his eyes. His controller fell onto the floor beside him, causing his character to fly off the edge with Luna as the victor. But she didn't care at that moment. She could barely hear the victory music and sound effects as she got up and went to the floor with him, albeit not throwing herself as Nix did.

"N-Nix..? Are you okay dude? What's wrong?"

He seemed to be mumbling something...Luna could barely make out words like 'red' and 'she' and 'monster'. It honestly scared her if she was being honest...But it worried her more as he covered his face with his hands. Nix was shaking bad...

Luna realized that this might've been her fault...but what did she do..? Was it the look she gave him? Was it the rubbing of the head..?

"Hey...I'm s-sorry I did that, I didn't realize that it would do this to you...I'm sorry," she said as she very gently placed her hand on his shoulder. This almost reminded Luna of her own breakdowns, but they were never as severe as this...Does Nix have...PTSD?

"You're safe here Nix...you're safe here. I promise."

Liar.

Her face automatically contorted into an extremely worried look. Did he just call himself a dumb head..?

Luna shakily sighed, "Your head is not dumb Nix. It's not. And you yourself certainly aren't."

With Nix looking at the ground, she could just barely see pain in his eyes. Gently lifting his head with her hand, Luna looked at him in the eye and said, "Nix. You don't need to worry about doing that in front of me. If I'm being honest...I have done something like that before. I know what that feels like and it's scary, especially done in front of someone. But I don't think less of you for it, and you shouldn't think less of yourself for it."

Very gently, Luna leaned forward to hug him. She wrapped her arms around Nix and gently rubbed her thumb along his back, trying to comfort him.

"I'm sorry you're dealing with this right now. If you want to talk, I'm here. But only do that when you're ready, yes? Let yourself go for a moment if you must...it's never good to hold yourself in. I...c-care about you man. I know you heard this from me already, but you're safe here."

She felt his pain. It was pure emotion, raw sadness. Luna could feel Nix relax a little, giving in to the hug which she was glad for. But his hands were still in his lap. She felt herself shaking a little at his words. He cared too. Luna was glad to hear it.

"Good...g-good..." she breathed in, and out, still a little shaky. Luna calmed down a bit before speaking again.

"What do you need from here on? From me? Anything you need, I got you..."

Luna meant it. Really. Meant it. She hadn't given herself to someone to help them in such a long time...A feeling welled up in her chest which she was almost sure was something she hadn't felt in too long. Way too long.

She lifted her right arm to Nix's head, gently and (almost) cradling it while she used her left arm to hug his torso. Luna was careful not to rub her hand in his hair, for fear it'd cause him to break down again.
