Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays? No...

Cordelia frowned, and immediately wrapped her arms around her little brother, hugging him. She could care less whether he wanted her to or not, she felt that he needed a hug and he was going to get one. She wanted to tell him it would be alright, that everything would be ok, but she thought in her heart that he wouldn't believe that. "Well, at least you won't have to bear the pain alone," she told him. She was upset that she wouldn't get to age as well, after all, but he had more reason to since he was still just a boy. "I know what it's like... trust me, if there was a way to change you back to being a human, I'd do it in a heartbeat if you wanted me to." She didn't bother asking how it happened, since she didn't want to make him feel worse by talking about the subject.

After a moment or two, Cordelia let go of him. She thought about apologizing, but decided not to. She had thought he needed that hug, and it wasn't like it would have caused any damage anyway. However, she did think it was time to change the subject to something... happier. Or even anything, just not so depressing. "So..." she began. "Uh.... how do you like the weather? Have you played in the snow at all?" she asked.

Alright. She'd said something wrong. She needed to get happy and fast to at least try and make him happy again as well. Even if she wasn't, she could at least act like she was. She was the older sibling, after all, and she felt it was her job to take care of him. She quickly put a smile on and stood up, folding her arms over her chest. "You haven't played in the snow yet? Really?" she asked. "What kind of a kid are you? It's not winter if you don't, you know." She laughed quietly, wondering how he would respond, or even if he would.

"I see your happy again."

"Yep!"

Like she was ever happy. Honestly, she was always in a not-so-good mood. She knew he could probably tell she was faking, but she still wanted to try. She watched as he got up and started walking away, and started walking after him. "So what do you want to do?" she asked him.

"I just want to be alone for a while..."

She understood. She frowned somewhat, but she nodded, letting him know that she would give him his space. "Alright," she told him. She would have apologized, but decided against it, feeling that saying sorry might make him feel worse.
