Happy Birthday and Happy Holidays? No...

Cordelia sat on the cold sand, dark eyes gazing out at the even darker water. The moon was full, the stars were bright, causing enough light for her to see. Both reflected against the surface of the ocean, though she hadn't really noticed. There was no emotion on her face, except for the slight fact that the corners of her mouth were turned downward somewhat. It wasn't a frown, exactly... just not the happiest expression one could have on their face.

Her hair was down for once, though her hat was on the sand beside her. She was leaned forward somewhat in an attempt to keep sand from getting into the ends of her long, black hair. However, it didn't really work... and she didn't really care. She had a black sweatshirt on as to keep herself from getting cold, and black, baggy pants with plenty of chains were on her lower body. White socks were on her feet, toes twisting about in the sand and her shoes right next to her hat. She was just out of reach of the waves, so she didn't have to worry about getting wet.

The woman didn't worry or even think about everything or anything going on at the moment, just staring out at the sea. She was twenty-years-old now, finally out of her teenage years. But she still looked younger, like a nineteen-year-old, and she knew that wasn't going to change. She was a vampire, after all... and she wasn't going to age, or change at all, ever. If she tried to cut her hair, it grew back, same thing with her nails. If she got wounded, it would heal up, and look like nothing had ever happened. She didn't like this... she didn't like it at all... staying the same way she was forever was just... she didn't know. She tried not to care, to act as if there was nothing wrong with her and that other people were the problem... but that just wasn't so.

And then there was the fact that she hated being a vampire. Killing to survive, having to make people go through what she had to. No one deserved to lose someone they loved, no one. Then there was always being able to withstand only a little sunlight, and most of all being considered evil. She wasn't really an evil person — even though she could be thought of as one for her rude behavior — but weren't vampires what most people considered evil? That was what Katana had assumed in the towers, after all, since she had thought she was going to hurt her.

Cordelia shook her head, toes no longer wriggling about. The fact that it was four days until Christmas had come to mind, and a scowl came to her face. Christmas, the holidays... no, they weren't happy this year. She put a hand to her forehead, and her shoulders trembled somewhat. Right now, she could have been at home, with her family... but no, they were dead. She hadn't been able to bring her husband and child back... and maybe becoming a vampire was her punishment for trying to do so. She wasn't sure, though... wouldn't anyone want to try and bring back the people or person that they loved most of all? She wasn't wrong about trying to do that... so why would she be the only one punished for trying to give herself a happy life? Sure, she had Sonlath, and now her fledgling Jira... but.. well, it just wasn't the same.

She couldn't think about this, she didn't want to. What had happened had happened, and she couldn't change it, so why even bother being upset about it? But she just couldn't help it. The woman shook her head again, and pulled her legs up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them tightly. She rested her forehead against her knees, hair falling from over her shoulders and hiding her face from view.

Why.... she thought to herself, trying to push thoughts of the past away, even though her attempts were worthless. It didn't work, and she just kept thinking about it.

Sonlath came up from behind her not knowing it was her sisters birthday he had his as usual bad mood on just wanting to get away from everyone yet something in him told him to go to her...and he wanted to for one of the first times ever. Wearing the similar black sweatshirt and black pants however it was more grey since she forced him to be in these cloths...

She didn't know he was part wolf either and he knew she would have to know eventually...he thought it would help him escape and it probobly would if he was able to get away...but just tonight he just couldent find the heart himself as he watched her from a distance behind a tree really not sure what to do knowing she probobly knew that he was there by now... Instead his blue eyes just approached infront of him...he had no idea what to do...so he hid like he always did

Artimist walked towards the sea. He was petrified of what happened in his room he was scared to go back there. He was scared but mad at the same time. Why couldn't his mother hold up. Why did she have to die trying to heal. Many of my mother's people have tried to heal but none could and all died in the process. Why did her spirit still haunt him in memory and mind. In his room was about the 10th connection she tried to make since she died. This was by far the strongest. A figmant of hope appeared in his mind. Did this mean he could transfer to the spirit world? Then he promised himself he would never say the elven language again.

Cordelia forced her shoulders to stop shaking, and she concentrated, for once actually paying attention to what was going around her. She thought she had sensed someone else there.... and she didn't have her hat on. Great. She sighed softly, and moved her head to the side somewhat to look behind her, though not much. She thought she saw someone, though she wasn't sure. But it didn't matter whether or not she saw them, because she could sense them, and she rested her forehead on her knees once again.

"What do you want..." she called out quietly. Her voice had absolutely no emotion in it, though it was hard to keep it that way. She didn't bother sounding masculine, though... she just wasn't in the mood and there was no point in dressing up like a man right now. She didn't care who was there.

She could sense someone else was there. She'd come to be alone... but that obviously wasn't going to happen. She was going to have company. She didn't call out to the second person though, since she didn't feel like repeating her previous statement. And, who knew, maybe they had heard it. But honestly, she didn't care if they had or hadn't.

Sonlath popped his head out...and wanted to try something...he changed himself into a wolf and began to walk toward them...hoping that Cordelia would not somehow reveal who he was...but animal companions were a lot better then humans...he wanted to know what was wrong out of sheer curiosity sensing someone else but not really knowing or caring he seemed to have some kind of heart for his older sister and no one else...probobly because they were related by blood

Artimist turned around also thinking he was alone. He had heard a voice but it sounded like they didnt care. He sat down on a rock and picked up some sand. He slowely let grain by grain the sand to drop from his hand. I can't not use elven language, the thought to himself. Ill just be carful to only use words I know and not to go messing aroung with trees. He giggled to himself. Then he thought. I wonder what that thing in my room is? He kicked sand into the water and sighed. Ill have to look to find out. But not yet not now.

Cordelia lifted her head this time and looked behind her. An eyebrow raised somewhat... a wolf? Oh, great, she'd gotten all upset over a wolf. She noticed it walk toward her, but it didn't seem hostile... the thing was probably tamed and belonged to someone. "Hey there, dog," she said quietly, then looked back at the ocean. She shook her head for the third time... she had just been talking to an animal, acting as if it could understand her greeting. She was sure it didn't.

She noticed out of the corner of her eye the other person that had decided to come to this place. She didn't feel threatened by them, though, so she didn't say anything to them. She kept an eye on the young male, though, just to be safe.

Artimist drew his flower sword and started to cut slashes into the sand until he saw a little crab. "Ven' Vor" He said. two blades of grass grew to a huge size and wrapped up the crab. He placed it closer to the sea and made the blades of grass grab a small minnow. He placed it in front of the crab. "Chow down little guy." he said. Artimist Looked behing him and there it was the flower thing that was in his room hopping toawrads him. (( By the way it looks like this, Flower guy ) Not again he thought. "Its Haunting me!" he said aloud.

Cordelia turned around when she felt his nose touch her back, and she blinked, looking at the animal. There still wasn't any emotion on her face, and she just stared at the wolf. "What do you want?" she asked the wolf softly, reaching out carefully with one of her hands and putting her palm in front of him, just to see if he'd accept her. "I don't have any food, and if you're this tame I'm sure you have a home. So what's wrong, little guy?"

"Its Haunting me!"

The vampire turned her head around and looked at the younger male that was there. She noticed the flower going toward him, and an eyebrow raised somewhat. "What the heck is that?" she asked herself, though loud enough for the wolf and Artimist to hear. "Oh, wow, a flo — " She didn't continue. She had been about to make a sarcastic comment, and she just didn't have the heart to do that right now.
