Hand in Hand in the Sand

Lycia's hand didnt leave Zeke' face. Instead, after holding her cheek gently for a few moments, she slowly ran it across the rest of her face to get a better sense for it. She would have used her other hand but even she realized that smushing a sandwich into Zeke's face probably wouldnt be great.

"I always have a fun time with you Zeke. I think you like to do the same things I do." She wasnt embarrassed at how long her hand had been in contact with Zeke. To her it seemed perfectly normal and comfortable. But after a bit she did remove it again. She started to try to poke at his belly but... well, she remembered he was a she right now and she might miss again. So she didnt do it.

What Zeke said though made Lycia remember she wasn't supposed to be dating. And then she took another bite of her sandwich and forgot about the rules again. She was having a great time. No reason to get stuck with dumb worries and such. Lycia finished her sandwich and then dug her fingers into the sand. It was rare back home to be able to just do that freely. Princesses weren't supposed to get themselves dirty. But she wasn't home. She was there with Zeke. And she started burying Zeke's feet in the sand- once she'd bent over to actually find them of course.

After running her fingers across Zeke's cheeks and nose, and generally the rest of the face too Lycia was satisfied with the mental image she had formed. She nodded along as Zeke mentioned adjusting the appearance in the Dream. It would make things a lot easier for her for sure.

"Oh. You do not have girl clothes out here in the real world do you? We can go shopping together!" Whether by naivete or just plain excitement she didn't seem to register the awkward parts Zeke was thinking about.

Hugging Zeke like this was a little different of course, but also pretty much the same in most of the ways that mattered. Lycia was all to happy to hug her right on up until the sand started to be poured. "I think you would laugh too much and all the sand would fall," Lycia giggled herself, imagining building a towering castle on Zeke and then having it collapse as they laughed. "I do not mind the sand. We can wash it off in the water, yes?"

Freed from worrying about the sandwich from earlier Lycia dug deep into the sand around them and let the piles of warm grains of sand slip out through her fingers like streams of water. She was indeed getting almost as much sand on herself as on Zeke.

"Skirts and dresses are comfy. Better than the pants that make it hard to walk in," she agreed with a smile. Of course part of that was she was used to such things since she had never even been offered pants to wear until arriving on the island. She was pretty much always wearing a skirt or dress even still.

"If there is a pool to wash the sand off then...," she trailed off as a grin widened in her face. She wiggled out of Zeke's arms and crawled away a couple feet. Before she could ask what Lycia was doing she bent down and started to push the sand towards Zeke as if her bent arms were the scoop of a bulldozer. Super inefficient though as she was covering herself in the sand too.

Lycia was giggling as she scooted towards Zeke with the sand though she crashed into her a little harder than she had intended because she moved. No matter, her arms bumped into Zeke and she dumped the sand right there on top of her. Creating more of a sand hill than a proper foundation.

She smiled down in the direction of where Zeke's head sounded like it was located and began to shape and build the sand on top of her torso. "Yes. I will make you the Sand Castle Zekia. Bastion of sandy giggles." It sounded a lot more formal than she had intended but then maybe it was the teachings of princesshood that were showing a little.

Little by little she continued to dump more sand on her and build a small sandcastle. Not really trying to go as tall as they had mentioned before, but she was pretty much covering Zeke from the torso down in sand. Her own body was coated in a layer of the sand too.

The absolutely could work on a castle in the Dream. It didn't even have to be made of crumbly sand there- they could make it with real materials if they really wanted to go all out. But for the moment Lycia was amused and focused on Castle Zekia.

Lycia continued to hold her hand as she lay down in the sand next to Zeke and scooted over along her side, trying not to disturb their creation too much. "You know I can not see if you blush. I only know because you get giggly and pause a little when talking," she laughed and buried her face in Zeke's neck area. Fortunately she hadn't accidentally found the shoulderbone first or that would have hurt.

"Is this romantic? I thought it was just making a funny sand castle and giggling a lot." She was slightly confused at why Zeke was making a big deal out of it but maybe she was missing something. It happened a lot.
