It had actually been a while since he'd found himself in this situation. Actually fighting someone from outside of his clan had him rather giddy. Even more than that, this was another dragon that had wanted this match. To which Titus was more than happy to answer.
He met with Thiul, and was leading her across Drakenhardt manor, Alex's home. It was also the main hub for clan activity. It was mostly what a person would expect from an estate such as this. Titus led Thiul down into the manor's basement, and then into a sub basement, then through a door. The manor was large, yes, but the dueling room was something that by all means should not fit underneath the it at all. The space they stood in was large enough that it might as well have been an open field, it was large enough for several dragons to fully shift and do battle. It even seemed to have natural terrain, a decently sized pool of water.

I think you might be the first member of your clan to see this place," Titus said grinning at Thiul. The next step was agreeing to terms. "What do I get when I beat you?"

Thiul had not actually believed that she would get to spar Titus Drakenhardt. She had been trying to reel her need to fight in, reminding herself she needed to settle down more before she went around and challenged people into fights. Which she had done quite frequently back home. Thiul had the instinctive need for combat, it was in her nature. Damaged spine or not.
She had tried sparring Liun in human form and had gotten a good sweat but she had kept itching for something else. And just when Thiul had considered asking Fweiu or Hwuun for an all-out match Titus had asked her to spar. Which had felt like a very lucky occurence. Well, Thiul didn't believe in luck so she guessed she hadn't been able to be subtle about her desire to fight against the "final hammer" and he had just answered the expectations. Somehow that thought annoyed Thiul, like she needed to be pleased. Although she was pretty sure that was all in her head, because as she observed Titus he didn't seem displeased with this. Rather, he seemed excited. What a strange individual.
Thiul was just as strange since she was looking forward to this as well, very much.

Thiul followed Titus through the manor, and the sound of her cane hitting the floor echoed from the walls of the large mansion. Thiul didn't show it but she was quite impressed by the house. Back home all their buildings were built either small or medium sized due to the rough terrain and lack of land suitable for building. Their house had been one of the biggest but nowhere near as ridiculously big as this place. Well, suppose a clan as big as the Drakenhardts needed a big manor to fit all those red heads.

Thiul struggled to keep her face straight when Titus led her to the basement and then yet another basement under it. She did allow herself a small furrow of the brow, and her family could've seen from her expression that it was her version of basically oggling at everything with wide eyes. She did look around, but made it seem natural.
The dueling room was enormous, and had more than enough space for a dragon of Thiul's stature. Hell, even Shul would've fit in here. Thiul observed the room and was already planning her attack when Titus spoke. She turned to look at him, and answered his grin with one of her own. Thiul's grin was much more subtle, and had a sly undertone. For a normal person it would've sent a chill down their spine.
"I suppose I should be honoured then? It is quite an impressive space."
Thiul lifted her cane and evaporated it, since it was made of her ice. She observed Titus for a bit, and then the room again when she thought about Titus' question. Thiul hadn't missed Titus used the word "when" and that irritated Thiul immensely, though she didn't show it much. But she knew it was highly unlikely that she would beat him. He had the experience, and even if their skills were matched Thiul had quite the serious handicap.
But she was going to give Titus a run for his money, that she could guarantee.
"If you are victorious..."
Thiul turned her eyes on Titus, they were icy. She didn't put any emphasis on the word if, and yet she made it perfectly clear this victory was not absoluge for him.
"...what do you desire? I have money, and influence to some extent. But you already have both in your disposal."
Thiul crossed her arms loosely and lifted one of her brows in question.
"And I could return that question back to you. But I do not need anything. This fight is all I need."

"How about," Titus looked at Thiul, tapping his chin thoughtfully. Part of him knew he had gross advantage over her. However, she was a both a dragon, and a warrior he wouldn't do her the disservice of holding back against her. He knew she would show him the same courtesy in turn.

"If I lose I'll buy you dinner, but if I win, you buy me dinner. I suppose it goes without saying, but don't you dare hold back. I wanna have some fun."

And with that, Titus moved a good bit away from Thiul and pulled out his pipe. The dragon began nonchalantly packing it. He didn't look like he was taking any of this seriously, but he wanted to see what she would do. How much was this irritating her, throwing her off balance? He puffed on the pipe a little bit.

"Your move, Ice queen."

Thiul admitted that she was surprised at Titus' suggestion of her buying him dinner. Or there was a catch and he actually ate ridiculously large amounts. Thiul wouldn't be surprised, as her family largely was like that. She personally tried to eat more reasonable amounts. In any case, Thiul nodded.
"Sounds reasonable, and hopefully within my capabilities."
As for Titus' remark on not holding back Thiul let out a genuine, amused chuckle and her small grin turned a bit more evil.
"I do not hold back against my own son, I won't hold back against you. So do not fret, we will have our fun."
Then Thiul proceeded to watch with slight confusion and yes, irritation, as Titus nonchalantly pulled out a pipe and started packing it. Part of her, the doctor part, noted smoking a pipe was extremely unhealthy but oh yes, first and foremost it irritated Thiul. But she let none of it to surface, although her breath turned tad colder. Instead she slipped her doctor's coat off. Thiul had come here straight from work and lost the chance to take it off before. She folded it neatly, not in any hurry, and took it to the side where she thought nothing would happen to it. Well, Thiul had no idea how rough they would get so nothing was guaranteed.
Thiul walked back closer to Titus, her muscular arms now bare and her tattoo in full view. Her smile was slightly wider now as she observed Titus, his body language and mannerisms. She had missed this.
Thiul stopped a good bit away from Titus and lifted her hand to swipe her hair behind her ear.
"Don't disappoint me, 'final hammer'."
With that, without any motion or sound, five thin and deadly sharp ice spikes formed around Thiul and they shot towards Titus at speed human wouldn't be able to react to before they were skewered.

Titus was anticipating something like this. He'd started moving before she'd fire her first volley, launching himself out of the way with an explosion from his foot. Christ, that was a fast attack, damn near killed him. He took a drag from his pipe before tossing it aside. Now there was just a massive plume of thick black smoke forming around him, obscuring him from view. His next step was unleashing a flurry of tiny embers at Thiul. Ice dragons hated this stuff, and he'd wear her down making her dodge those for a little bit as they flew around her.

And it was at this point, that Titus would rush in at her. There was definitely a crazed look on his face as he closed the gap between them. His body just billowing smoke, and his hands hissing intensely. He swung like he was going to punch, but with an open hand, releasing an explosion from it.

Thiul would've been disappointed from the start if her spikes had actually hit Titus, so her grin gradually got larger as he exploded out of their way. She observed with interest how smoke gathered around Titus, bracing herself for what he would do next. Thiul's mind was processing everything with four times the speed of a human brain and when Titus sent the flurry of embers at her Thiul was ready.

Thiul shifted her body into a flurry as well, a flurry of ice particles. Thiul avoided the embers barely, but she could feel their heat. This fire would give her serious damage at full force. She sunk down to the ground just when Titus rushed and Thiul avoided Titus' attack, though she felt its force and didn't want to take it head on.

Thiul split herself in two smaller flurries, quickly blowing way up above Titus. In a second, about 7 meters above him, Thiul reformed again and immediately shot another round of ice spikes at Titus. They were bigger and thicker this time, about the length of Thiul's arm. But they were still deadly sharp and didn't lack any speed from the ones before. And as Thiul peered down she had similar crazed look in her eyes, though much more calculative and icy. And her grin had progressed to the point she was showing teeth.

Right after releasing the second round of spikes Thiul shifted back into a flurry of ice particles and reformed again good ways away from Titus the crazed look still on her face.

Titus knew she was going to be raining down more spikes, but oh damn these were bigger than the last volley. Aside from the smoke he was more or less constantly emitting, Titus was leaving a trail of some black substance on the ground. He was still a good distance away from her. His next step would be sprouting his wings and fanning thick clouds of smoke in her general direction.

Don't let up, don't give her a second to breathe, he thought. He wasn't letting her slip away from him anymore. He fired an ember into the cloud he'd made , and onto the ground, generating an explosion and a very intense fire at his back. He flew into the air and dove down on Thiul generating a chain of explosions as he went along.

This time he'd open with a series of punches. The pattern was rhythmic enough that she could block and avoid it, but then he broke it. Titus shifted his arm into its dragon form and took a swipe at her with his sharp talons.

Thiul watched with admiration, and slight envy, how Titus partial shifted and sprouted his wings, using them to fan a cloud of smoke to her direction. Thiul created one large ice spike, about her height, and spun it like a fan to avoid letting any of the smoke too close.
After that Thiul turned into a flurry of ice particles and quickly flew into a spot where the cloud, which she knew was flammable, wouldn't cause her serious damage. But Titus hadn't left her an escape route. Thiul noted the napalm Titus also left in his wake, and made a mental note to herself to avoid getting any on herself. That would end this fight on a very sour note.

Thiul materialized herself midair just when Titus detonated the smoke cloud and napalm, and it threw her back. Thiul shielded her eyes and head with her arms and he landed perfectly, softening her landing with her hands so her legs took minimal impact. And yet Thiul could feel her legs nearly giving in. This couldn't go on for long, Thiul would need her wings sooner or later.
Thiul's bare arms were red from the heat, but she did not let any of the stinging on them to get to her. Instead she quickly made several ice spikes about the size of her arm around herself, as she saw Titus diving at her. She launched couple of them at the man while he approached. And as Titus reached Thiul and started punching Thiul blocked couple of the punches with her arms, couple she used the sides of her spikes to block and the rest she avoided with relative ease. And in between the punches Thiul sent few punches at Titus as well, though her were quicker and meant more for distraction. Thiul couldn't put all her strength behind the punches, if they hit the impact would go straight to her legs.

Thiul got suspicious at the predictability of the punches and just then Titus changed the pattern. Thiul saw his arm shift and her eyes widened slightly. If those talons made contact it would be over. But Thiul smiled a bit, she wouldn't let it happen. Just as the talons were about to make contact Thiul shifted just the area she knew the talons would hit into ice particles. So Titus' hand would go straight through Thiul's body. Then Thiul flipped back backwards, trying to kick Titus to the chin as she did, and quickly took some distance. Then Thiul created as many ice spikes as she could, which was around 30-40. They were all small, around forearm length, thin and deadly sharp, like arrows. And she sent them all with top speed at Titus, from all directions.

She was keeping up with him just fine. Matching his moves, and countering them with each turn. It seemed they were opposites in terms of style. She was definitely a ranged fighter, while he had a preference for close combat. She had nicked him in the chin this time, as she went to fire another volley. The good news was they were small, the bad news? They had him surrounded.

Titus still had one thing he could do, she'd forced his hand. There was a huge explosion, enough to rattle the floor, and blow away, and melt the spikes. Not that they could do much to him like this. there was a good bit of smoke obscuring him from view, but it was obvious he'd transformed.

Without warning he leaped out of the cloud at Thiul. The heat he was radiating from his scales would be enough to keep her uncomfortable. The way smoke was flowing off of him, it was almost like he was burning himself. He inhaled, and exhaled a cloud of heated smoke and ashes onto the ground, allowing it to radiate outward.

Thiul covered herself with her arms again when Titus caused a large explosion, blowing her ice spikes away. Thiul was pushed back a bit, feeling the tingling sensation in her arms worsen. She would need to go right back to the hospital after this.

Thiul jumped back, not caring if her legs gave out, and just in time when Titus leaped out of the giant smoke cloud as a dragon. Thiul had enough time to make a note he was smaller than her, before attempying to dodge. But then her legs gave out. She cursed and quickly turned into a ice particle cloud to dodge Titus. She felt some of her ice particles melt, those would be burns on her body. Again Thiul swirled up high, as high as she could, and as she materialized she shifted immediately.

A gust of ice cold wind blew through the hall as Thiul shifted into a dragon, covered all over in sharp bone ridges and ice spikes. Even her snout was sharp, everything about her looked like you could cut yourself on it. Even her eyes, as she peered down at Titus, were sharp. Thiul was bigger than Titus in size, but her body was very obviously meant for speed and lethality where as Titus was strength.

The first thing Thiul did was create another barrage of ice spikes, but this there were much much more than before, and they were bigger. But not longer than Thiul herself in human form. Thiul let out a combination of a roar and screech as she shot the cloud of ice spikes at Titus. And then she shot to the pool of water at the other part of the hall, and dipped in it best she could.
