The fresh smell of plants and dirt. Noli had missed it so much. It was nice to be back at the school and at the Gardening Club’s space--if not a little nerve wracking. She had been in charge of the Gardening Club, then suddenly dropped it. She didn’t give anyone any real explanation--nothing about how her sister came, or how she brought her father to Earth, or how much she worked to try and pay him back...it was complicated. It was best to say she needed to drop classes for a while and focus on work, and leave it at that.

But now she could come back, and she was even given the position of being the head of the Gardening Club again. She felt a little...unworthy. But she loved the Gardening Club, and wanted to see it brought back.

Noli checked out the Gardening Club’s supplies, relieved to find some terrarium supplies still available.

The first thing she wanted to do now that she was part of the Gardening Club again, and had access to gardening supplies, was make a terrarium for her sister.

Noli and Lae had always had a difficult relationship, and coming to Earth had not helped that. Noli had done many things to upset Lae. But she wanted to try...at least make some effort to rebuild something with her sister. Her Papa had suggested giving her a gift, to start. It wouldn’t fix everything, but...it was a bit like raising a peace flag. And it showed an effort. So Noli would try.

Noli grabbed a round glass terrarium--small and simple, and some sand and rocks. She would make it with succulent plants--sturdy, low maintenance, and reminiscent of home. Would Lae like it? Gods, she hoped so.

Noli rolled the stones between her palms for a moment, wondering if anyone else would show up. Would anyone rejoin the Gardening Club, now that she was back? Would they want to rejoin it with her in charge again, after she had left for so many months? Would new students consider joining? She wasn’t really that good at advertising--though she did like the Gardening Club being kind of small and quiet, she didn’t want to be...well, just her. Then it wouldn’t even be a club.

This thread is open to any characters involved in the Gardening Club, or any characters considering joining the Gardening Club!

Does anybody else feel the craving to eat soil, or is it only me? Hijab thought as she walked into the Gardening Club.
Hijab wasn't necessarily into gardening; she was into nothing - that's why she decided to join the Gardening Club. Number one, it would give her a hobby. Number two, she'd get a chance to a bit more social. Three months she'd come to school, and she talked to no one. No one at all, except for asking directions and other minor stuff. She shook her head. Even though the Gardening Club is a low-key group, at least she'd talk to someone.
Turned out, she couldn't find anyone.
"Hello?" She called out, though her voice was not loud - if someone is here, she'd likely not disturb them. She walked round the garden, and was about to leave when saw another girl.
It was a dark skinned girl, holding a terrarium in her hands. Hijab adjusted her headscarf and approached the girl.
"Hello!" She said, giving an enthusiastic smile to the girl. "I'm Hijab - new to this club. You?"
@Kathinja care to give a physical description of this club? Like, where it is, how big it is, that kinda stuff... Thanks!

Azalea tiptoed into the garden tentatively. It still felt a little strange to participate in activities without her sister, but gardening wasn't really Rose's thing, and besides, it'd be good for them to do some things apart, right? After all, they were more than just two component parts of a matched set of identical twins. In this club, Azalea could just be Azalea. She loved her sister dearly and adored spending all the time together that they did, but it should be good to have a couple separate hobbies.

Azalea peered around the corner upon hearing excited sounding chatter. Anyone who looked in Azalea's direction would see a somewhat timid-looking elf who appeared to be in early twenties, with thick, curly brown hair--with aqua-colored highlights--spilling about in all directions down to about waist length. Small vines with narrow, deep viridian-colored leaves and the occasional pink-and-white azalea bloom intertwined with her hair. Azalea was wearing a simple midnight blue short-sleeved dress with a lacy pattern around its hem, which rested just under the knees above Azalea's bare feet.

"Um...hello. Is this the right place for the gardening club?"

The Gardening Club could be a little tricky to find, as the 'clubhouse' where the club's stuff was stored was in a room attached to the Green House on the academy grounds. It wasn't too big, since the Gardening Club was small, but it had enough room for a few tables and storage.

Noli was surprised when she heard not one, but two people just outside in the garden.

"Ah-!"

She put her terrarium down and stepped out of the clubhouse. She was wearing her school uniform, and her fluffy green hair was pulled up into a ponytail.

"Welcome! Yes, this is where the Gardening Club meets. I'm Noli--I'm the head of the club."

She smiled and approached the two.

"What are your names?"
