"There's about everything up here. Food, clubs, gambling. There's a huge entertainment complex that does detailed VR games. All the shopping you could imagine. Even residences."​

Alyx continued to munch and sip as they kept walking so Anne could see a little more of the station. Passing shops and bars, each one themed in the owners home culture but still entirely inclusive to other species.​

"We decided to set up shop here for races because it is a nice central hub for everything. Easy to get parts we need. Easy to find out about races. And then of course the after party scene is nice."​

"It's almost overwhelming. Like, I lived in a pretty diverse city, I like to think, but this is something else" She said in amazement as she saw all the different people and cultures represented throughout the station.

Anne looked into the shops they're passing, seemingly deep in thought about something or other. She scanned the storefronts before turning back to Alyx and nudging him.

"Hey, I don't know if this is a thing or not, but would there be a place I could get, like, a plug- er, space suit type thing?" She inquired, eyes still jumping from storefront to storefront as she tried to find what she was looking for.

"You know, like a sci fi-y kinda one piece thing?" She clarified.

Alyx thought for a moment trying to figure out what she was meaning. He dug into memories of earth movies that he so loved trying to place what it was Anne was asking about.​

"You mean like a flight suit? Maverick in Top Gun type thing?"​

The one piece is what tipped him off to what she might mean. He just hoped that's what it was. His knowledge of human culture came almost exclusively through Hollywood, and his little time on Manta Carlos had shown him movies weren't accurate.​

"Top gun, uhh.." Shit. That was the danger zone one, right? With.. Brad Pitt? No, was it Tom Cruise? He could see her thinking for a moment before giving up and pulling out her phone.

"Hold on, I'll get a picture-" She tapped away quickly, trying to find a less nerdy option before she gave up and pulled up a picture of the main cast of Neon Genesis Evangelion with a slight blush.

"Like, this kind of thing. The earth ones are kinda.. baggy. I don't know if it'd be too flattering" She laughed.

Alex's eyes widened as Anne had to think over Top Gun. Had she not seen it? If not, that would have to change, but for now he let it go and watched as she pulled out her phone to search for a picture.​

"Oh! You mean a still suit like my teammate Kek wears. I've got one I wear for races under my clothes. space isn't fun with a hole in your ship. But yea there are plenty of places to get those."​

He tossed his trash in a nearby chute that would send it to be either recycled, incinerated, or compacted. Turning down another hallway, Alyx started leading Anne to a set of shops with what he hoped would be what she was looking for.​

"Most are custom made for obvious reasons, but there are basic ones with no extras you can get off the shelf."​

"I mean, as long as it fits. I can get a custom one when I get more familiar up here and I know what kinda extras I'd want." She said, tossing her trash as well. She walked slowly, examining each shop they pass to see if she can find what she's after. She looked over the shapes of the suits, chewing her lip before turning her attention back to Alyx.

"So, are these, like, one size fits all? Do they, like.. are they some kinda adjusting material?" She inquired, her eyes drifting back towards one in her signature ice blue colour. She started to head inside, pulling Alyx with her even before he's actually answered.

Alyx smiled as he was pulled onto the store. It didn't take long to find what Anne had spied. A shade of blue that almost exactly matched her hair. It made sense. Alyx could appreciate an aesthetic, especially as a shifter.​

"Most are auto adjusting unless it's a specific material. Even then most shops will do same day adjustments."​

His eyes cut over to a sign as it switched languages settling on English finally he tapped the screen to pause it so Anne could read what all it included and the price.​

"Can always try it on."​
​
A wink came out when he mentioned trying the suit on.​

"I mean.. if there's fitting rooms.." She tucked her hair behind her ear again. She flagged down one of the employees in before returning the wink and slipping into a changing room. She struggled out of her own clothes and into the suit.

She looked herself over in the mirror as the suit shrunk and stretched to fit her properly. She gave herself a slow look up and down, taking a couple of pictures before turning back to the curtain. She was a little nervous, but she called out from the room.

"Hey, I wanna know what you think" She said, pulling the curtain out of the way and standing there in the form fitting suit, hands clenched together in front of her.

"You caught them. Everything this station has, changing rooms around one."​

Alyx chuckled a bit as she disappeared into the dressing room. Waiting patiently outside he caught a younger visitor to the station staring wide eyed at him. Looking down at his wrist, Alyx realized the ASTRAL tattoo was peaking out. He winked to the kid and pulled the sleeve of his jacket down to cover the tattoo.​

"Let's see it then."​

He called back shortly before the curtain was pulled back. An eyebrow raised as he looked her over in the form fitting suit before a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.​
​
"Well come on now. Turn. Don't deprive me of all of it."​

"Aww, you're gonna embarrass me" Anne said, though his reaction seemed to be relaxing her more. She gives him a full turn, showing off the rest of the suit with a smile. The suit hugged her body closely, giving him a better view than her usual down jacket.

"You gotta let me see yours later" She added with a wink as she ended up, facing towards him again. She leaned in as she said it, hands behind her back before she straightened back up.

"I think it looks pretty good, though, and it's warm. What do you think?"
