Her face turned dull, but deep in her eyes was fear. "They.... uh... they always watch... they watch when I sleep, when I eat, when I walk to class, when I wander... I can only escape for a short time, until they figure out what to do, and where I am..." She said sighing deeply. "Its hard for me to escape sometimes, since they frightened me..."

With what she said he figured he should try to get her off the subject. "Oh.. I see.. um.." He noticed her wings and thought about what conversation he could get out of them. "Hey! So.. what's with your wings? Can you like..fly? They're really cool!" While he mostly mentioned them out of trying to get to a different subject, he wasn't lying when he said they thought they were cool.
Nitar smiled, and her eyes cheered up when he spoke of her wings. "I don't really know where I got them, I'm hoping I get them from some side of my family." She said and flexed her wings and and spread them out.
"And yes, I'm able to fly with them, I love flying, it feels refreshing." She said cheerfully, and she flapped her wings and she lifted up off the ground, and hovered there, sometimes flapping her wings to stay aloft. "Though... sometimes I wish I didn't have them, mostly so I didn't have to ruin my dresses and shirts with them, I'm always having to cut holes into the backs." She said, sighing a little, but she then smiled happily.

Nitar smiled happily, but she felt she knew why he had suddenly spoke about her wings, but she pretended she didn't know. She just wanted to be happy at the moment, until something happened. A look of confusion came over her, as she looked at Paul. She lifted her hand and put it on his shoulder, and shook him gently.
"Are you OK? Your doing that strange face again." She said, a bit of concern in her voice.

She looked at the boy, and a little anger seeped through her eyes, but it was quickly gone. She stood and stared at him a moment, as if she could see through him, she wished she could see what he was hiding, but she couldn't, she shook her head a moment, then looked up.

Good, because Paul didn't want to scare off Nitar. He scared off enough people as it is with his little arguments with Corona.
Nitar looked at him, and thought a bit. Giving more excusing not to tell me, she thought a little angrily, though she didn't continue to ask, because she didn't want to lose a friend she was starting to get.
