Hadley had never met Neon before. The two of them probably never would have met had it not been for the circumstances around KC, but as it stood Hadley found himself waiting in a booth at one of the bars up on the station, having invited him out for drinks to thank him. He was hopeful that the two of them could get along- he'd heard good things from KC and he had a lot to be grateful for.​

He wasn't in uniform for once, starting to try and break that habit outside work. It felt odd to have his arm out in the open without issue, but supposing he was on a space station connected to an island in a hidden dimension it made sense that it wasn't drawing any stares. For the moment he just kept musing to himself about his situation as he waited for Neon to arrive.​

Normally Neon would have shown himself in a rather unique attire, technologically gaudy one would say. People at the station wouldn't be so weirded, right? However this time he was wearing even more normal clothes, a black suit with a dark green shirt underneath his open coat. He felt he had to look presentable, so the only thing out of ordinary in him were his fox ears and tail, white with gleaming green tips.

"Brian Hadley, I presume?", he asked, before making proper introductions: "My name is Neon Moth, Kabano Haruhana to the Narrow Reality. Student of SA, aspiring game developer and studying NEK0 to assist in their own development.", he would wait until allowed to join him.

He nodded back to him, gesturing for him to sit with him while he introduced himself in return. For just a moment the thought ran through his head that he looked like he could be a boy dressed for prom. Hadley himself would probably be considered dressed down from usual, his robes hung up in favour of his old leather jacket.​

"I usually only go by Hadley. Or more formally Father Hadley, but that's more on the job. So, you're the one who helped KC get what she needed without that, er..." He waved his hand a bit. "Whatever it was that tank was for. I never really understood it too well, but thank you."​

Neon took seat with him, listening to Hadley and his words of gratitude. "Ah, yes, I noticed Kassie needed some help. Originally our deal was that I'd help her however I could, in exchange she would help me by providing the Genetic Memory of NEK0. As I plan to helping NEK0s in their own development.", he responded, "Also, I too have to thank you, Hadley... For riving her residence and helping her in becoming so distinct from KC.", he bowed his head in gratitude to Hadley

"From..?" It took a moment for him to put things together with that, but he just shook his head after.​

"From what I can tell she was unique when I met her. Hardly ever even think about the fact that there's another person out there with the same face." He replied, setting his drink down and glancing past Neon to get a waiter's attention.​

"Right, can I get you anything? As a small thank you for how much you did."​

"Oh, I see.", yet Neon opted to not dwell on that for long, after all neither were comfortable about talking of the KC that Kassie is based on, it seemed. "For me, I will have saké.", and once the order has been placed, Neon would ponder: "Hadley, what is your line of work? That is, assuming you can talk about it. If not, that's okay."

"I can talk about it." He nodded, leaning back into the booth. "What I used to do is a different story from what I do now. Colloquially a lot of people would call me a demon hunter, but that's a little narrow and, being here, not exactly okay. The long and the short is that I was making sure the boogieman stayed nothing more than a story to as many people as possible."​

He took another drink. "Nowadays I consult on cases related to those subjects as an expert."​

"That sounds like the kind of job a certain student I know used to have before coming here.", briefly Neon thought of Bastet, his interactions with her had been few but enough to know this much of her. When taking a sip of his drink, Neon pondered "So it must be quieter days now... Well, except with Kassie, right?", he was well aware of KC's naughty side.
